  • yay! If i decore some paracord to make this, i can make a fishing net using the insides. :D

  • Miller LIte! Alright!

  • are u goth

  • cool gloves! so mystical!

  • if you could possibly show me how to make Poi, or even just a ball out of this, that would be greatly appreciated, also, black cord with a black background ( your pants, shirts, and gloves) makes it semi difficult to see what you are doing, i respect your likings of the color black but wish you would possibly use something besides black for either the cord or the background, just a suggestion. Thank you.

  • that looked like crab legs when when you was pull that stuff out.

  • we used to make "the box" like this using plastic strings with different colors. there is a way to make a "double box" I think you need 8 strings

  • Thats a MAN man!

  • Your outfit is stupid!

  • Nice socks !!!

  • thanks nice tutorial, i was wondering why mine weren't looking all flat and tight, i didn't know you had to take the insides out of the para cord...maybe that's why mine would fit through the lanyard hole on my kershaw hahaha

  • why do i feel strangely aroused when i watch this?

  • Dose any know the name of the song???

  • luv the socks!

  • will the melting part works on the plastic lace ones??? i been trying to find a way to make them stay down

  • i am making one right now! but i don't know how to start it! my friend started mine but she won't tell me how! :D

  • that was very nice GREAT! job :]

  • Should of finished off the lanyard with a turks head knot then melt the ends

  • That was a great friggin tutorial!! Thanks for posting it! : ) You rock!

  • Your hands look sexy...

  • oh yeah I think so too

    very sexy

  • Cool, never would have thought of using the gutted string like a leader.....thanks for the idea....

  • Awesome piece, and great tutorial.

  • i can do those! =]

  • where did you find the charm??

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, that came out really nice looking.

  • r u goth

  • what a charm! ....Want to kiss your hands

  • This has really showed me a lot on how to make lanyards.

But do you know how to end one, without burning it? ... a 'knot' or something?

I'm making a couple with leather and can't end it with a burn. (I glued one, but it looks bad...)

I've Goggled it, but found nothing!

  • i would try using cedar tar.

  • This is great! (I watched it three times...)

Is it just me, or is this video "sexy"!?

I mean,,, I REALLY enjoyed it! - Maybe a little TOO much! LOL!

I'm beginning to wonder about myself... maybe I ought to get out more.. Hmmm

  • Very nice video. Liked the music too...what was that? How do you determine the length of the cord you are using...I know you can have it long and build whatever length you want, but is there a rule of thumb like 4x the length of the finished lanyard or something like that? Thanks in advance.

  • wat is that string thingy the stuff came out of

  • 7 Double inner Strands rated at 35 Pounds.

Outer Sheath is rated at 300 Pounds.

    Thus,( 7 x 35 ) + 300 =~ 550 Military Grade Paracord.

( Commonly used as Parachute Cord during WW II )

    Hence the Name: Parachord.

  • This is also your perfect Shoelace.

  • Thanks for the video.

Helped me to build my first lanyard.

  • I dig your nail polish.

  • hey, your weblink doesn't link to your website like it used to. The person making the scoobydoo has the best hands i've seen for a long time.

  • nice gloves where did you get them

  • I disagree. I think the ambient background music piece here is very suited to these videos as it blends in and doesn't grab your attention over what she's doing. For folks like me, with terrible attention spans, the music is perfect.

If you do change it, then more of the same style would be ideal.

  • You just KNOW that is one beautiful goth/alternative lady on the end of those lovely hands.

Lovely lanyard too....I'm trying to source a couple for putting on my torches ("flashlights" in US speak). I'm totally kak-handed and can't make my own. :(

  • doing it right now so easy

    also doing spiral

  • you just did the box

  • i forgotto ask how long is the loop?

    thanx again ;)

  • how much paracord need for this proyect???

    thanx!

  • there is a better way to end using a special tie that lasts.using the method to burn the nylon only lasts a short while. don't know what that tie-off method is.

  • I've found that melting the end, and fusing it to another part of the paracord (as shown in the video) works quite well, and doesn't unravel. Sure you burn your fingers a bit, but no pain, no gain! I've been using the same one for over a year now, and it's not even starting to come apart.

  • @nodseveer I think that method is a wall knot

  • does anyone know why you have to "gut" the inside of the cord for?

  • Great video, I'll definitely try something like that.

One thing, though: if you want to make it into a weapon, you'll want something more serious than your keys on the other end. Alternatively, you could add some superglue to the core and REALLY leave an impression. ;)

  • has anybody ever tried to do this with wire before?

  • pretty nails

    good vid

    thanks

  • Thanks for this video. Extremely helpful. Just made one of these in pink & black for my pink Benchmade.

  • even if she is goth ...i like the colers gold & black 4 lanyards

  • I totally forgot about this kind of braiding. People used to make keychains weaving thin ribbons of plastic (i don't know the correct name for it) like this. Nice :D

  • its called a lanyard

  • No, I knew that. I was referring to the correct name for the 'ribbons of plastic' that they used for weaving. I know they called it something, but i still can't remember. it's not important.

  • They were called scoobies in the UK

  • Gimp

  • Yes, thank you very much for sharing this stuff.

  • I'm going to try one, I'll get back with you in a couple months.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Makes me thirsty.

  • Whats the music?

  • hey! where do u get the round metal thing that goes under the stichy things?? not the clip. nice music.

  • that's so cool, i use the gimp string i find at stores....

  • Great insruction it worked like a charm

  • Great demo. Thanks for sharing it. It looks easier than it is. I tried it and mine came out poor.

  • They get much easier on the second or third try. Keep it tight! (isn't that what all the boys want?)

  • last note: what i liked best about this video, was the timing of the music. very well done. thanks again, for sharing.

  • FYI- that's was a joke.

cool video though, thx for sharing it.

  • when you were pulling the guts out of that parachute cord... that was fuckin' hot!!

  • i love your gloves <333

  • Paracord rocks! Thanks for the clip.

  • I like her hands...

  • i needed this, thank you for taking the time to create the video, it was awesome.
