I usually do not response to comment but I feel that I have to this time. I have been an adventist for more than 40 years of my life so I can say that I am familiar with what SDA teaches. Everything that you mention does not add up to what I and many Adventist brothers and sisters believe. We believe on reading the Bible more than any other books. I was a SDA for almost 20yrs 1989 to 2007 strong and i have come to find out that I was in a cult of satan. I visited a SDA church this weekend it was interesting experience. I talked to pastor who has pastor more than church. They did of course talk about Helen White heiresses. The church did not have anyone under fifty with the exception of two children.

Imagine you were committed for a crime, but you were given a pardon for that crime. Then imagine 50 years later, they come and arrest you to stand trial for that same crime you were pardoned for. Would that be legal? Yes or No?
Adventists talk out of both sides of their mouth. They will admit salvation is a gift, but always follow with a BUT; we need to do this and do that to keep the gift.
In other words it wasn't really a free gift to begin with, because once Adventists receive the gift, they now believe they must live a certain way and perform certain Sabbath works and commandment keeping to keep and maintain that gift, or God will take the gift back.
I can always very easily prove that Adventists view the Sabbath as their god, and that they rely on the Sabbath to save them by asking them these questions:
1. Can Sunday Keeping Christians who love Jesus and have faith in Jesus, be saved in the end and avoid the Mark of the Beast? Y.n?
2. If you stopped attending Church service on Sabbath, and instead began attending Church service on Sundays, can you still be saved by faith in Jesus, and still avoid receiving the Mark of the Beast? Y.n?
The mark of the beast is not a chip or tattoo on the hand or forehead but refers to thoughts and actions contrary to God and his commandments. Jesus can forgive and turn sinners into saints but he wont force anyone. The question is not what day you attend church but who you love and follow. 1Joh 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.
But what commands is John talking about in 1 john 5:2? Let's back track to chapter 3:
1Jo 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment
Those are the commands that aren't burdensome, not the ministration of death. The greek word used for "mark" is described as "branding horses/cattle". A brand on cattle is very literal, and it shows anyone going by who that cattle belongs to

God had many days in the old testament that he required people to rest on, but in the new testament the only day he gave us, the day he picked was today, not sunday, not saturday. The disciples gathered on a daily basis to worship and spread the gospel, even on sunday.
Amazingly God chose Sunday as the day to reveal himself to his disciples, and even the following week to thomas on sunday. He chose to give his Spirit on Sunday, and chose to rise on Sunday.
The first day signifies new birth, and just as other days can be a day of great rejoicing. It is the day that our hope was made alive, and since we're welcome to pick a day, especially while that day is Today, people found no better day than sunday.
We're called to rejoice daily in him. The important day is not sunday or saturday, but today. Let me stress that again, the important day is not sunday, or saturday, but TODAY! TODAY was the day God set in the new cov.
The new covenant holds TODAY as that certain day because every day is a day in the Lord and is a day that he has made...and if you enter into faith TODAY, you will enter his resting place, which is open every day.

Adventists believe they are lost if they were to stop attending SDA Church Service every Sabbath to sing a song or two, pay their tithe, hear a sermon and go home. I was a SDA for 12 years, and they are definitely a CULT! Since I resigned my SDA membership, certain Adventists have called me evil, satan follower, lost and a deceiver. The SDA teach that only they are the selected and special "remnant church" and everyone else is deceived and will be lost when they receive the Mark of the Beast. SDA is a CULT! SDA teach the "Investigative Judgment" where they claim Jesus is in the heavenly Sanctuary today, blotting out their sins. But, how can there be any blotting out sins today or into the future when Jesus stopped bleeding at Calvary and has not bled since? Only by shedding Jesus' blood can there be forgiveness, Heb 9:22, yet Jesus stopped bleeding 2000 years ago and is not bleeding since. So how can sins be blotted out today? When I dealt with Bible critics none of those who claimed to be Christians and yet were attacking the SDA church were helping. I proved that the word 'lamh in Isa. 7:14 means virgin, not simply "young woman" as modern translations say. I showed that the Gospelswere never anonymous and that they were written by their named authors (and far earlier than is claimed). I showed the the book of Daniel was written in the time frame it describes. That study is listed along with named scholars.

Why does what day week matter?
Obedience. When God asks us to do something we should do it. Should we murder? Should we steal? Then we should keep the Sabbath also.

I'm a bit lost here................according to my studies of religion and beliefs 1844 has nothing to do with the SDA movement or their church.......You might be mixing the Millerite movement with SDA
I suggest that you study more about the Millerite movement then. The pioneers of the SDA agreed with Miller. Ellen White even made the same predictions as Miller. From these early pioneers like White, James White and Joseph Bates the SDA church was formed. I already gave you the verses above, God was telling Moses where to put the Book of Ordinances, which contain the different sacrifices and other cerimonies. They were two different things, one written by Moses on scrolls and the other written by God's finger on Stone.

I usually do not response to comment but I feel that I have to this time. I have been an adventist for more than 40 years of my life so I can say that I am familiar with what SDA teaches. Everything that you mention does not add up to what I and many Adventist brothers and sisters believe. We believe on reading the Bible more than any other books. I visited a SDA church this weekend it was interesting experience. I talked to pastor who has pastor more than church. They did of course talk about Helen White heiresses. The church did not have anyone under fifty with the exception of two children.
It is clear to me that the SDA church going to fail. It is sad if they would stop being a cult they might have something to offer. No I am not going to be an SDA I was just wondering.

And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. (Heb 4:3-4) What allows one to enter into his rest? Not works, but faith (Rom 3-5). Christ is our all in all. Christ is our Sabbath. When you read the OT, if it does not point you to Christ, keep praying the Lord will give you that understanding.

Imagine you were committed for a crime, but you were given a pardon for that crime. Then imagine 50 years later, they come and arrest you to stand trial for that same crime you were pardoned for. Would that be legal? Yes or No?

Salvation is either a free gift or not.
Adventists talk out of both sides of their mouth. They will admit salvation is a gift, but always follow with a BUT; we need to do this and do that to keep the gift.
In other words it wasn't really a free gift to begin with, because once Adventists receive the gift, they now believe they must live a certain way and perform certain Sabbath works and commandment keeping to keep and maintain that gift, or God will take the gift back.

1. Can Sunday Keeping Christians who love Jesus and have faith in Jesus, be saved in the end and avoid the Mark of the Beast? Y.n?
2. If you stopped attending Church service on Sabbath, and instead began attending Church service on Sundays, can you still be saved by faith in Jesus, and still avoid receiving the Mark of the Beast? Y.n?

The mark of the beast is not a chip or tattoo on the hand or forehead but refers to thoughts and actions contrary to God and his commandments. Jesus can forgive and turn sinners into saints but he wont force anyone. The question is not what day you attend church but who you love and follow. 1Joh 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

Those are the commands that aren't burdensome, not the ministration of death. The greek word used for "mark" is described as "branding horses/cattle". A brand on cattle is very literal, and it shows anyone going by who that cattle belongs to

God had many days in the old testament that he required people to rest on, but in the new testament the only day he gave us, the day he picked was today, not sunday, not saturday. The disciples gathered on a daily basis to worship and spread the gospel, even on sunday.
Amazingly God chose Sunday as the day to reveal himself to his disciples, and even the following week to thomas on sunday. He chose to give his Spirit on Sunday, and chose to rise on Sunday.

Not keeping the Sabbath on Saturday is the Mark of the Beast - Wo-nelly.I heard them say that. You have to do a lot of isoteric surface reading of the scriptures to get that idea. The Old Testament laws no longer applies to Christians because Jesus had fulfilled the Old Testament laws. I was a SDA for 12 years, and they are definitely a CULT! Since I resigned my SDA membership, certain Adventists have called me evil, satan follower, lost and a deceiver. The SDA teach that only they are the selected and special "remnant church" and everyone else is deceived and will be lost when they receive the Mark of the Beast. SDA is a CULT! But thank God whom called me out of Babylon(legalism) and into the grace and righteousness of Jesus Christ.

SDA teach the "Investigative Judgment" where they claim Jesus is in the heavenly Sanctuary today, blotting out their sins. But, how can there be any blotting out sins today or into the future when Jesus stopped bleeding at Calvary and has not bled since? Only by shedding Jesus' blood can there be forgiveness, Heb 9:22, yet Jesus stopped bleeding 2000 years ago and is not bleeding since. So how can sins be blotted out today? When I dealt with Bible critics none of those who claimed to be Christians and yet were attacking the SDA church were helping. I proved that the word 'lamh in Isa. 7:14 means virgin, not simply "young woman" as modern translations say. I showed that the Gospelswere never anonymous and that they were written by their named authors (and far earlier than is claimed). I showed the the book of Daniel was written in the time frame it describes. That study is listed along with named scholars.

I suggest that you study more about the Millerite movement then. The pioneers of the SDA agreed with Miller. Ellen White even made the same predictions as Miller. From these early pioneers like White, James White and Joseph Bates the SDA church was formed. The law which we are no longer under is the law of Moses, not the Ten Commandmets, look at any scripture that says to keep the law and it mentions such things as No Stealing or no killing, where it mentions not keeping the law it mentions the ceremonial law of Moses, that he wrote, and not God. There are two different laws, one is the "Ten Commandments", the other a book (or scroll), written by Moses.

The law served as a school master and we no longer are under it. Galatians 3:21-25 Only one person was able to keep all the law, that was Christ and he fulfilled it. He is the end of the Law, we are not justified by it, and these verses Romans 10:1-5 tell us about those who try to make their own justification not knowing the justification of God. Hell is real as heaven is real. Jesus spoke about hell more that He did heaven to warn people about it. A place where as Revelation puts it "the smoke of their torment ascended up for ever and ever." Perish in John 3:16 does not mean "annihilation." A careful word study would show that. So some where in your theological journey you have been misled.

"with the voice of an archangel" it did not say Jesus was the angel anymore than the verse said the trump was Jesus as what you post suggest. She talks about many who brought about the reformation and toward a better understanding of the Bible, including Martin Luther. If you think calvinism double predestination is a better understanding of the bible is no wonder. Another false teaching and the SDA has many writings against the Catholic Church, Ellen White wrote extensively and falsely about them.

SDA beliefs:
The Holy Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are the written Word of God, given by divine inspiration through holy men of God who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. In this Word, God has committed to man the knowledge necessary for salvation. The Holy Scriptures are the infallible revelation of His will. They are the standard of character, the test of experience, the authoritative revealer of doctrines, and the trustworthy record of God's acts in history.

What I have see is that (If) the interpretion is agreeable with Ellen Whites twisting of scripture then it is good. All other Christians 100's of years before Ellen White were all wrong, only the founders of the SDA have a trustworthy view of scripture??

The Investigative Judgment is given in a parable of the ten virgins. Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Matthew 25:1, 2. The Oil is the Holy Spirit.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
