  • Awesome.TY for posting

  • Thumbs up if you like thumbing up comments!

  • Could you guys please stop your thumbs up whoring and listen to the fucking music??

  • Please upload the full version of this? This is my favorite version of this song and it's a shame that it cuts out in the middle.

  • 0 dislike.... that's the way should be. :)

  • Thumbs up if you're here because you really dig Django Reinhardt, aside from the fact that you destroy at Bioshock.

  • Im here because i love the name Django xD

  • this is not django

  • Django was a master no doubt, but if you love his music you should also love the fact that a video game made in the 2000s is bringing in new listeners. Instead many of you are coming off like snobs which is kind of sad...

  • @GuitarSlinger2112 i agree.

  • Thumbs up if you're here because you have good taste in music and you like the great Django Reinhardt! Geesh

  • Very enjoyable.

  • thumps up if your here because of his amazing music...not bioshock -.-

  • I humbly request that you reupload this. The abrupt ending really takes away from the song. Thank youf or your consideration and have a nice day.

  • GREAT, BUT ""WHY"" DID YOU CUT IT OFF BEFORE IT WAS FINISHED? WHY DON'T YOU RELOAD IT AND FIX THAT IT JUST SUCKS! GET IT RIGHT!

  • this is la mer not it had to be you :l

  • @xXthisXguyXx Nope you're an idiot

  • @sickgolfLOLZ excuse me sir but i do belive your the idiot if you cant tell one song from another

  • @xXthisXguyXx I agree, unfortunately for you, you're basically calling yourself an idiot. I guess this is one of those cases of poetic irony in which you end up owning no one but yourself.

Cool Bioshock vids, you're definitely a Django expert, I'd better not trifle with you.

  • @xXthisXguyXx Nope, you are dead wrong kid. But hey a 14 y/o virgin guy isn't expected to know good music. Your expected to be ignorant, it's the duty of your more experienced and more educated elders to kick your ass up between your bony shoulders and beat an education into your virgin ass. Now grow up you dumb kid before it gets your ass handed to you on a platter. 8^) that's me being gentle btw nonuts.

  • @xXthisXguyXx La Mer? Really? You clearly don't know what the song sounds like.

  • @bob2bobert2bobertson wait wait wait sorry your right i was probably listening to this at 4 in the morning -_- sorry! i hadn't listened to la mer in a while so i just spaced :l

  • @xXthisXguyXx Don't apologize, its no big deal.

  • The references are simply wrong. About the only thing correct is the song title, "It Had To Be You." To anyone who has ever listened to Django, it is clearly not him. Furthermore, the rhythm playing is all wrong, not done in the gypsy jazz style at all. Nor is the violinist Stephane Grappelli or anyone who is ever likely to have played with Django.

  • This is good, but it's not Django, nor Stephane. I'm 100% sure.

  • This isn't Django Reinhardt performing. It's wonderful, but it's not Django.

  • @NolaVenice who is it?

  • Dear Bioshock

Thanks for interducing this amazingly soulful music to me! My love for you burns with the intensity of 1000 suns, and now even more.

  • @DasHinchen Wow, if you love this and you've learned it from a videogame, think of what else you're missing.

  • @BasementBeginnings Stop acting like Video games are just for retarded idiots. Especially masterpieces like Bioshock. It's a form of art, equal to comic, equal to film, equal to literature... I have no Idea why so many people underestimate games so much.

  • @DasHinchen Lolwut. As long as you quit being presumptuous. Btw, I also game. Just sick of douchebags that give full acclaim to the source that brought them somewhere instead of the artist, group, or song. That's the equivalent of all the other bandwagoning faggots that comment things like "im only 17 and i love this" hoping to get recognition.

Being that your comment posed no argument, and was simply a shit comeback, I still stick by what I said. Have a nice day.

  • @BasementBeginnings I responded as I tought was right... and now you suddendly jump into my face about me being a douchebag and a faggot begging for recognition? Dude, I don't deserve that. All I said was that I love the game and I'm happy that It brought me to this amazing music. I have no Idea why you people are so butthurt about others knowing the music from a game and then whine about it. "I liked it before it was popular!!!"... don't you think that's pretty recognition-seeking itself...?

  • @DasHinchen Of course. I don't go from video to video announcing it though. If people are being introduced to Django by videogames, or films, or whatever, that's great, and I respect that even more if they become future fans.

But if 70% of comments on a Bioshock gameplay video were among "thumbs up if django brought you here :D" smart bet is that the gamer community would be a little disconcerted (or butthurt :\) as well because the game would be overlooked. And that's the tradeoff.

  • @BasementBeginnings yeah, that's right. If you already know that, you should probably stop calling random people names. They will be butthurt.

  • @DasHinchen You, at least to me, aren't making any sense. Have a nice day.

  • @BasementBeginnings You said that gamers would probably react the same as you did: like Hipster fucktards that whine because they knew something before it was cool. And then you said that you don't mind if a game interduces this music to people. So you admitted (very subtle) that you overreacted. At least I thought that there was some kind of Understanding in your comment, so I wanted to end it with a little hint that you should be more carful about insulting people next time and move on.

  • @DasHinchen I didn't even imply I overreacted, nor do I see what compelled you to assume that. While I still stick by what I stated in earlier comments, I just felt it to be necessary to shed light on both sides of the argument.

What I said about you making zero sense was only directed at how irrelevant and inapplicable your response was to my reply. Sorry you're as butthurt as you say, but I just felt like you were the kind of person that needed something said to, and I was right.

  • @BasementBeginnings btw... you know that "have a nice day" is not some kind of secret code to end difficult conversations, right?

  • @DasHinchen What gave you that impression? What's wrong with wishing for your days to be filled with rainbows and sunshine? Don't flatter yourself, no one likes a narcissist.

If this conversation seems difficult for you, that wasn't my intention. Allow me to clarify with layman's terms. I don't care where people learn this music from. I just feel contempt and/or pity for people who only give due respect to what brought them to it.

As FPSRussia says, "and as always, have nice day."

  • @BasementBeginnings Oh, how blind I was! Thank you a thousand times for saving me out of the dark pit of my ignorance! I was lost and confused until you lowered your head to my wimpy level and spoke your words of wisdom, which I really needed to hear! Thanks for pitying my inferior intellect! Be assured that your absolutely necessary insults where like warm streams of Honey flowing down my chest. Thank you for making me a part of your infinite glory and wisdom, oh light that outshines the sun!

  • @DasHinchen It's fine, I accept your pending apology. Just don't let it happen again.

  • @013jc I'm an avid musician and an avid video gamer.

I don't mind these kids listening to Djangos music. At least their listening to good music. Unlike some other music today.

  • Where did you find this version of the song?

  • @lopakabable : i can't remember if it was through the OST of Bioshock or somewhere else

  • @lopakabable definitely Bioshock.

  • do enlighten me as to why it matters how i stumbled upon this song. so yeah, bioshock is awesome, but i also greatly enjoyed the game's soundtracks, especially this particular piece. who are any of you to tell me i can not like a song because i found my way here through a video game?

  • This guy's amazing!!!

  • Why did the song end so abruptly?

  • @messenger360 : problems with windows movie maker when i made the video

  • @messenger360 fake Django!!!!

  • Hate to be this kind of guy, but like this if you're here because you love Django and not just because of Bioshock.

  • @TheBlackProject08 I'm with ya man...

  • @FenceThis : You clearly have too much time in your hands. Maybe its because its vacation. I don't know. Anyway, I will be removing any further comments from you that don't pertain to finding what the actual music is.

Go do something constructive instead of just criticizing all the time

  • Please don´t upload anymore of theese NOT- Django footages under false premises. It´s tiresome, annoying, fraudulent and a disgrace to the heritage and memory of a divine musical genious.

  • @FenceThis : I will keep uploading these songs, according to the data I have available, as being from Django Reidenhardt, until someone can show me the real title of the song.

  • @HayenMill What doyou actual mean by " according to the data I have available " - What data ?! they wouldn´t be data but misinformation. Let us all know about theese pseudo datas so the right partys can push forward on legal actions. You don´t just go out in public with postulates like that regarding a most significant and important musician, slendering his name and reputation.

  • @FenceThis : The data being the Bioshock Soundtrack list available on wikipedia. It is also mentioned in the djangopedia website.

It is ludicrous to believe that these tracks would somehow slender his name and reputation. From all feedback i've been gathering, 100% was positive, with the exception of 'purists' such as yourself.

I'd also appreciate it if you refrained from spamming the videos with the same comments over and over.

  • @FenceThis What tha fuck r u talking about? This Is good, How Is it a disgrace 2 upload songs like this?

  • @FenceThis Don't get your panties in a twist.

  • this is not django reinhardt

  • Many people will tell you that you're lesser than them for having heard of this music through a game. I say, what does it matter? Not all great minds know where to look for great music, they know how to recognize it. Thank God that amazing game has acquainted more people with the soothing, jazzy tones of Mr. Django Reinhardt!

  • Bioshock brought many people to this type of music and it is a great game if it wasn't for bioshock not as many people would have listened to this music except for the people who already knew it.

  • @NAThan: How can anybody with sound ears take this guitarist for Django Reinhardt? That' simply ridiculous!

  • wish I could comp like that!

  • Thumbs if you are here NOT because of Bioshock.

  • @Dax3060 yeah ive never played, but at least people are discovering this music because of it haha

  • @yago2br: You're right!

  • this is not django reinhardt... doesnt sound like him

  • @yago2br Lol it's him believe me I can assure you that's Django playing the guitar :)

  • @NAThan9871 " Lol " - no it´s NOT him, I can for 100 % certain assure you it isn´t and I know what I´m talking about !

  • @FenceThis Look up the licensing. This is Reinhardt and Grappelli.

  • This video is posted on Facebook page called "Golden Tunes - Sound of Oldies", so if you have fb account and some time, check it, i guess you will like it :) Page is for everyone who like like warm cozy sound of evergreen music.

  • im here cause of my old guitar teacher

  • What version is this? What album? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

  • @soulphisto79 : Official Bioshock Soundtrack

  • @RadioInStereo: I'm afraid that's quite impossible. Somehow, whenever I place the song on the audio part in WMM, it is automatically cut of from 4.16 to 3.39. I have tried to find an answer to this problem, but haven't been able to. If you know of some way, please let me know and i'll be more thna happy to upload the full song.
