This is nothing to do with religion! skyburying is an very old practice and its seeing things as it is! in other culture's they bury in coffen but only to be eaten by worms! but nobody see's it and its good for them! in tibet its done by a professional people and one doesn't have cut there own families. by the way a dead body is just bones and meat not a human being anymore! a dead dont feel pain or feel bad!

This practice isn't actually barbaric or primitive at all. It's a matter of necessity and 'goodwill'. This burial style is practiced in Tibet at altitudes where trees do not grow plentifully enough to provide funeral pyres and the land is far too hard to lay a body to rest under the ground. Their religion acknowledges that they come from nature an so they give themselves back to it at the end of life. I like the idea better than rotting, useless, in an expensive box.
OMG! Never knew they practice this in Tibet. More like Zoroastrians. They want even their dead bodies to be useful after death (By feeding this sort of birds). Thank God we practice clean burial in our religion.
what religion is that, which tell you to be the bird's lunch instead of them being your lunch, stuffed and well cooked for the whole family since they're so big and meaty.
Thank god my religion is saving me in all the ways.
