Actually there is one well documented case of Satanism from old Europe. It occured in the court of King Louis 16th and caused a major scandal that nearly brought down the French government. So satnism is not brand new and didn't originate in America.
@vampyregirl100 - really? are you sure that wasn't just christian hype? Ever see a sociologist review it and then label it as satanism afterwards? Care to share where you got that information from?
I have yet to view one of your videos that i did not like. You cover your ideas so full and so strong and have gave me alot of info and advice to help me along my own path. Thank you so much.
Look at the Ying and the Yang, one have is either dominantly black or white; however if you we look they each have an essence of their opposite in the small circle held within the dominant color. The concept of good and evil is one of those aspects; the good and evil try to conquer each other, but that is what keeps the balance. The dominant colors are kept in control with the circles as well. WIth the dark I like what Osho said, "contradictions need each other. they do not exist."
Dark matter is just a term used to describe our inability to observe the apparent missing matter in the universe. It's something called vacuum energy that describes how nothingness or "darkness" might contain the creative force from which all else came.
Light and dark is a logical fallacy, you can for example be born in terrible pain and die a few days later never experiencing joy yet you'd still understand you were in pain. Also light is a wave of energy, you can have places where there isn't any at all. Too and dark matter is really only objects that don't emit their own light, black holes or other things that are showing a gravitational effect yet don't have a light and energy source. It's not really magical. Sorry I know a bit of science.
@MistressArte i heard of a child who was born with an illness and knew nothing else. this child would smile when pain was inflicted (injections etc) because it was normal.

@ninjafretshadow View the cyclical universe in your own view and for how long will you be provided energy to do that for and whom or what will provide it? All you know, is all you have been tought by those of superior nature to yours, so as you are closer to the finite, they are closer to the infinite. Do you think you know more than the atom? Know then the atom came before you. You can build a house or create a machine, yet you are a brick of a greater project, hence you are here for a purpose.
Many different ideas and ways, but remember you cannot create knowledge, only discover it, that is the Truth. The same you cannot take Satan from the source of knowledge concerning Satan and change the meaning. You can "create" your own belief, yet the power behind that belief is as much as you can give it. You need to build on a foundation that will last forever, but you see not beyond the matter of death, but energy sees. Search for the Truth, the only Treasure you can discover, REST=NOT.
Anti-cosmic Satanism - In a gnostic terminology one believes the cosmos itself is evil as it is equated with gods, many gods in fact in this form of belief in which those on the side of the cosmos are of the 7 annunaki who decree fate, i.e., Enki, Enlil, Demiurge etc, with opposition or the 'adversaries' being of what is Chaos itself, i.e. names mentioned Satan, Pan, Lilith, etc. Anti-cosmic Satanists believe that Chaos is freedom and that the cosmos is total stagnation, Chaos is then worshiped.
@Dagon684 In my vacation to North Holland 2 years ago I had met and spent some hours with a man and a woman who by word of mouth called themselves chaos-gnostics. Unlike your American style of Satanism from what I had gathered it was very polytheistic in the sense it uses many notable and recognizable deified beings that come from the two sources mentioned earlier, and that allegiance to the 'dark gods' if you will can go so far as self sacrificing your life through death if necessary.
@Dagon684 Many who use the system of chaos-gnosticism include the author Vexior, aka Shamataae of the Swedish black metal band Arckanum. I'm also pretty sure that Michael Ford, though he does not use this system is quite familiar with it as well. I don't criticize the path myself but choose not to follow it and some will no doubt if studied see much of its beliefs as too controversial.
Sometime earlier this year (I'm19 now) I got interested in Satanism again because I had quit Christianity, and even though I learned more what it really is, I still feel "dirty" about it, like something is going to happen. I mean, I guess that's normal, but I'm not sure. I'm mostly just curious if you know of (m)any Satanists who started off feeling really guilty about it because of what they were raised to believe about hell and morality.
Hi Venus. I just have a little question. Basically, I first discovered/got interested in Satanism...kind of around the same age you did, only I was 14 instead of 13. Well, it wasn't really Satanism as I know it now, but that stuff from joyofsatan *shame*, but I felt guilty and went back to Christianity (out of fear).
... such a secret is the light, as white as the snow that kills the grass.
The human asleep at night, its dreams are of daylight, and even in dreams dose darkness fall... in dreams of darkness, so also does the light come to shine.
The moon, in its infancy, gazes upon its mother as it circles her... it longs to be held by her. To humans, the moon does come and go... light to dark light to dark... as the mother is host to a parasitic thing, she watches after her young.
"Satanism started in America" ??????? That is a statement that cannot be backed up by truth. The Yezidi clans have worshiped Melek Taus for 6,000 yrs they gave the world The Al jewah(Spell?) America gave us "Reverse Christianity" in the form of Anton Lavey. Even the "Brotherhood of Satan say their belief in Satan goes back to the old country.
@timishardcore Just had to chime in here; the Yezidi are only Satanists by Islamic standards and other fundamental religious standards. They do not see Melek Taus as Satan or any other form there-of. Not being a dick, just sayin'.
@ProphetWolf I do not see you as anything other than a commenter with an opinion. The Yezidi predate Islam and the story of Melek Taus is a story line along that of Satan's.The Al Jilwah would indicate they are.Have you done any study of them?????? mine is minimal but I would say they are.
@timishardcore Yeah, I've studied them for a while now; from what I've been able to gather is that while the Yezidi do in fact predate Islam, they have since incorporated much of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism into their beliefs. Much akin to the Gypsies who take on the religion of whatever people they are surrounded by, except of course the Yezidi aren't travelers. They do believe in God, but they consider Malak Taus to be the one who takes care of things here on Earth, that's why he is so
@timishardcore (part 2) important to him. There is also a reoccurring theme or mantra amongst the Yezidi and that is "Good and evil exist in the heart of every human" (or some variation there-of). Their connection with Satanism is only because the Muslims considered them Satanists (but then again, to them, who ISN'T?!) and I think LaVey may have indeed fallen for some of that hyperbole on his eager search to find anything remotely "dark" or "Satanic". An interesting religion, but not Satanic.
@timishardcore Keep in mind that what i typed is a VERY rough and brief understanding of the Yezidi. If you find some more info on them I'd love to hear it; I could be wrong on some of the things I have stated, though I'm only going off of what i have read and what I have heard in interviews and so-on, and they are not my primary theological interest; just one I enjoy doing research on...
@ProphetWolf I find them to be of interest myself. My knowledge rests on the same as yours, interviews, videos, books and so on..what do you think of the Al Jilwah??? Just remember that "Satan" existed before mankind as it were. The Al J is a source for some Satanist organizations for theology.
@timishardcore The Al Jilwah, I personally believe, has a LOT of mystery behind it. The main reason being is that no one (to the best of my knowledge), aside from the Yezidi, are allowed to read it. This of course opens up the flood-gates for authors wishing to make a quick buck. I recently ran across a book by Isya Joseph published in 1919 I think that talks about the Yezidi. He even has a line in his book that says "...by means of this book, Al-Jilwah, which the outsiders may neither read nor
@timishardcore (part 2) behold." which of course leads to the logical question of "Then how the fuck did YOU get a hold of it?" Also there was apparently a large influx of other works published around 1911 to 1913 that all claimed to be the Al-Jilwah and most scholars agree that these were published for the sole-purpose of exciting tourists or some such horse-shit. I think it's important to keep in mind that anything not of God or Allah or Jesus can easily be considered "Satanic" by the devout.
@timishardcore (Part 3) I personally don't know how much credibility I lend to these Satanist organizations who use the Al- Jilwah as their main source of theology. I know that the Joy of Satan uses it (just went to their website - they're so "Satanic" they still use angelfire, lulz) but I'm not wholly familiar with them. I personally believe in nature as being the supreme being; and for that, if you've seen the movie Antichrist, I'd be considered a Satanist, though I certainly don't see myself
@timishardcore (part 4) that way. It is easily the same with the Yezidi; what some consider good, others may not and visa-versa. But that's my take on it. You?
@ProphetWolf Yep what you posted is true. The Yazidi are not satanic, and satanist's acceptance of them as satanic comes from christian/islamic cultures who labeled them as satanic. It is akin to the christian labeling of muslims as evil, and then satanists worshiping satan as iblis through the koran. Now that would be funny, indeed.
@VenusSatanas Which does bring up a question that I've never thought about before; are there Satanists who worship Iblis who come from a Muslim background?
@VenusSatanas To a degree YES Prophetwolf is correct. We need to understand that the Yezidi belief is older not only than the Muslim belief but that it is older than Judaism itself. The Hebrews are the descendants of Jacob/Israel(yes I know that Abraham/Issac are as well Technically). The Yezidi claim a 6,000yr old visitation from Melek Taus.
without darkness, the light cannot exist, because one cannot exist without the other - balance is the key. same with the christian notion of thinking the light of God will overcome the darkness; this is illogical since light and darkness must coexist, or either will cease to exist
yes very magical.in the realm of psycology one must confront his/her shadow self.new agers want to fart rainbows an shun the lower chakras.this will not help one.as soon as things go dark they cant handle it.theyre probly talking about this alien/religious conversion thats been going on.i.e. andromedins/annunaki/paledians
I really love your videos, I have been watching them for a while now and I feel very well informed, also it's nice to see you posting videos again.
I wondering does your website have references for demons like Belial, Azazel etc. every reference I come across on this is judeo christian etc, so I'm very interested to read a piece about their benefits not how supposidly evil they are.
I'm asking you this because I really like how you portray Independent Satanism and I'm seriously considering it.
@8Ivion8 - Michael Ford also has very poor editing and research for his books, thus why they are never cited when others write about satanism or the occult and they need a reference on Goetics. Try the videos made by Poke Runyon instead, much more insightful on Goetic method that Ford could ever be.
Started in America? This must mean you regard Satanism as a literary construct before the 1960s; I believe there was a Satanist in Norway in the early 20th century who shot and murdered a taxi driver in order to express non-dualism/transcendence of morality! The reference is in a book Pilgrims of the Night, but I have mislaid my copy, so I have only a hazy memory of the ref.
@nargargole - really> You consider the acts of one who is mentally ill as something that represented pre 60's satanism? Come on now, i expected more of you!!
@VenusSatanas There is a fine line between mental illness and spiritual ecstasy, as the history of religion shows; but perhaps Anton wanted to create a religion based on Reason rather than Unreason; however, sometimes it is necessary to go into Un-reason to attain shamanistic magick; but I don't know why a taxi driver had to die. but Taxi driver+gun+shoot=Liberation!. Only one second of this though - then its life in prison.
I will have to diagree with your comment on Crowley Venus. Crowley was much more than a drug addict. I am a Thelemite but I am independent right I dont belong to any group. The teachings of Thelema taught me the real meaning of Satan and the good things that the "Devil" really stands for. The Devil is the all seeing eye on the physical plane,on the tree of life his number is 26 the same numerical value of YHWH. Anyways keep up the good work and keep posting your videos.
@dvharris75 - people interpret his work in whatever way they see fit. They also lionize him. that does not take away the fact that he was an addict, and that there is not one student that ever succeeded him at what he taught. Where are crowley's original students? What did they accomplish in life?
@VenusSatanas Calling Crowley and addict is just focusing one part of what he did.
Thats not even close to the whole story. As for his original students a lot of them did go on to have success. Isreal Regardie was one of students back in the 30-40's. Plus plenty of people have followed up upon his work especially the work involving his Thoth Tarot deck which is a occult masterpiece all unto itself.
Venus, if by saying Satanism didnt exist before the 1960's you mean Lavey's Athiest secularized form, I can agree with that. But if your telling us that Devil Worship didnt exist before the 60's, with all do respect, That just isn't true. By "Devil" worship im referring to any evil archetype from any spiritual practice, not solely christianity.
@kalieda - archetypes? An idea created by Jung? What does that prove, that Jung could fit any idea into a pre-made system? There was no satanic group prior to the 1960's. Saying that 'this was evil, that was satanic etc', hardly proves anything at all besides the fact that we can label ANYTHING as satanic. A satanic movement would require a source, documented evidence, a group, books, teachings, leaders from that org, a structure, and - a continuance into the future of their works in society.
@VenusSatanas This make a good point.Maybe evil "paradigms" is a better word than achetypes. Yes we can label anything as Satanic, but on the same token, Lavey took pagan deities and incorporated it into reverence of Satan even though they have nothing to do with each other. See how that works both ways? I have a question that maybe you can answer for me. Why go through the trouble of calling oneself a Satanist if they're really Athiests? This is something ive never understood about Laveyanism.
Good to see you back, Venus...In my opinion , modern Satanism started here in the USA, of course with Anton La Vey.
However, the worship of Satan was going on back into the Middle Ages when disgruntled monks were performing the Black Mass as a rebellious act against the Catholic Church.
Personally... La Vey made Satanism into something that is more of a intelligent and rational philosophy, and less of a mindless worship of some dark god.
As a satanist i must dissagree with ur statement that satanism started with lavey in the 60s. Yes what we lable as satanism today most certainly started with lavey. But my research shows the worship of Satan goes back 1000s of years.
@darthvadermisfit I believe the same thing. There is evidence of satanism going back to ancient Israel. LaVey merely organized it, but he didn't create anything new. Satanism has always had a certain aspect of deception going for it - satanists don't always identify themselves, and when they do they don't come clean as to what exactly their beliefs really are.
we don't have to come clean and declare it. in many professions we'd be ostracized by management and co-workers if we did.
we don't have to go around defending it on a daily basis and by being somewhat secretive about our beliefs we don't have to debate it daily. we are not the one's on the corner milkcrates trying to get donations. LeVay espoused this discretion as well.
@MrNytn2001 No, I don't mean "come clean" about being a satanist. There's no need to tell everyone "Hey, I'm a Satanist/Christian/Buddist/whatever". I mean, come clean about the TRUE NATURE of the satanism they practice.
Most satanists will admit to being a satanist but will lie about it's true nature.
For example, Anton LaVey invented modern satanism for the money. There is a lot of deception in LaVey's life. In the end, Satanism is about "theft of energy".
@ghoststun - Who cares if he did it for the money. We all work for money does that mean our lives are worthless? We have satanism today as a SOCIAL MOVEMENT because of lavey. Like it or not! You dont have to like lavey at all to realise that fact.
@ghoststun - REalyl? Thats SO funny, where is this evidence? Saying that something WAS satanic does not make it so. There is no evidence of any SOCIAL movement that is even remotely related to SATANISM until the 1960's. Evidence would be publications, people, organizations, members, hierarchies, etc.
@VenusSatanas I started practicing Satanism when I was 14 and read the Satanic bible for the first time when I was 14. I'm now 56 and coresponded with Anton Lavey and the Church of Satan back in the sixties. There is a part in The Satanic Bible that mentions organizations existing before the 1960's and one of them was called "The Hell Fire Club" which some of our founding fathers were suppose to have belonged to which one name it mentions is Ben Franklin, what was that?
@VenusSatanas Evidence? There has always been a contrary movement to the popular belief. Go back to the old testament, you'll see references to satan. There must have been a social movement TO OPPOSE the One God (satan=adversary, to oppose). Take some sociology classes and you'll learn about how to spot a social movement.
Here's an easy one. A contrary religion to Judaism and the One God? Let's try the Book of Exodus and the golden calf. CLASSIC satanism.
it seems to me that Satanism caters to the more primal aspects of the human condition and as such is devoid from maximizing that which is GOOD. Therefore it cannot be a good thing to practice it, as it makes a person in effect a mere animal without the divinity of their higher intellect and abilities.
@UltimoLatino - oh that would be the assumption, yes. If you dig deeper you will find that the intellect is also part of our being as well. Why not embrace all aspects of what it means to be human?
@VenusSatanas "Why not embrace all aspects of what it means to be human?" There is good reason for this. Because there are facets of human nature that are not conducive to maximizing the overall good. Consider, it has been argued that it is human nature to: rape, commit genocide, steal, kill etc... there are strong cases to be made that each of these things are a part of the human conditions however unlike animals humans have a choice and can choose to reject these parts of ourselves.
@UltimoLatino - I would disagree. It is also our nature to socialise, to love, to nuture our children and to take care of ourselves and each other. We also reproduce.
Animals are territorial and they also kill each other for ways that are not related to food. What does any of this have to do with satanism as a social movement?
@VenusSatanas well, he wrote "Torture Is what I love". I want to know what you think about that. the language seems very direct and to the point. you are a fan of Slayer - is he warning about torture, or bragging about it?
My understanding of Satanism from you is that it's not about deliberately hurting other people. How does the song lyrics "Torture, Is what I love" fit with that?
@ghoststun - i dont think much of it. I don't know what his intent was. I also dont recall slayer being the voice of satanism. They don't decide what satanists should do. So what they sing is really of no consequence to me, nor does it really have anything to do with satanism, in general.
@VenusSatanas Seriously? you tell us you like his music, he sings "torture is what I love" and you don't know what his intent was? You don't think that statement is straightforward enough?
My point is, I've met satanists and they all seem to be liars. LaVey seemed to enjoy seeing how many lies he could get away with. Liars are cowards, they are afraid of the truth. And here you don't understand one of your favorite bands.
Did You Ever Explain..in Video or SIte of which explains your Ideas on How The Earth(World) was created?..and for people who just believe it started from dust whom made that dust,,...anyway just really curious on the Satanic Idea of Creation..Not to knock it just Really Curious...Thanks and Keep up the Great channel...although I put My Faith In the -TEACHINGS- of Jesus...
@KyleRayKeith - great. I think science has a better explanation of 'creation', than religion does, anyway. Besides, out of the multitude of religions, which one is right about their creation story? Are the ALL right? NO? (wait, thats a rhetorical question, i already know by your 'jesus' statement that you only accept one view!).. thus why science offers us a more realistic view on how things could have occurred. No one was there in the beginning so all we have is speculation and theory, anyway.
@VenusSatanas ,,Wow so quick to judge me mam....Not True Venus, If you Read my statement it says the TEACHINGS of JESUS what i believe in .Im NOT sure If The Man from the Bible Was real or Allegory ,prob NOT mostly all Allegory I Believe.....I do not believe the Bible Creation story to be accurate...Im not positive it isnt though...but most likely not..and by you saying Science that could be a multitude of things?? Few months back I asked this and u said u woud make a Vid about..
@KyleRayKeith ..You said you would...but if not the time fine...and if you dont feel comfortable telling how you believed it started fine..but If you say Science how could if was Big Bang...Someone or thing or God or Gods would have to have created Ingredients for this big Bang..and The First Microbe that split..someone had to have created it or whatever it began as...You should find out how one trully feels b4 assuming..ANd I folllow Jesus "Teachings".And Have REad Satanic Bible....
@KyleRayKeith ..ANd How All is So Scared of it I dont know, Its a Great Read With many Great Points...Its not at all what most "Christians" think..but with all Respect I STill find the teachings of Jesus more Profound..and Again..I love your Channel and I think It Has GREAT info on it and you have done a Very Good job with...I like it..But I dont Agree 100% but who does with anyone really...Just Didnt know if there was A Satanic Creation type Ideal but I guess i got my answer, I guess..PEACE
Satanism began in America?? Surely you're not suggesting Satanism stated in the 60s with La Vey? What about the 17th Satanists in France? What about Crowley?
Satanism began in America?? Surely you're not suggesting Satanism stated in the 60s with La Vey? What about the 17th Satanist in France? What about Crowley?
@ChAoTicReverence As a Satanist myself, I'm not sure when Satanism began but yes I know that it did not start with LaVey, sure LaVey began another branch of Satanism known as LaVeyan Satanism, philosophical Satanism. But 17th Satanist in France? What's that? elaborate please.
@VampirePraemium Satanism was rife in 17 century France and much practiced by the nobility and the court of Louis XIV. Look up Catherine Deshayes, a.k.a La Voisin. The LaVeyans may dismiss such theistic Satanism as devil worship and thus reveal themselves. If worship of Satan is not Satanism then what is? But following this, Satanism was well established even in the 15th century.
@ChAoTicReverence I am a LaVeyan personally and no I don't see Theistic Satanism as devil worship(though I believe Satan demands study not worship). Satan and the Devil aren't the same, that's a Christian misconception. Satanism in general is about self-empowerment and individuality both in Theistic and philosophical Satanism.
Worship of Satan is a broad area, some of it is just reversed-Christianity, which is rare, just gets a lot of attention.
@ChAoTicReverence - are you sure that wasn't just a sensationalist tale? Are people going to believe that the DaVinci Code is TRUE centuries from now, too, even though its a work of historical fiction?
@gokusondbz Aleister Crowley actually know Satan and he actually know power of Magic, the two knowledges go hand in hand and the will is the essential ingredient. For the true followers of Satan your Satanic bibles are like books for kids. The philosophy of Satan is focused on I and everything else is to be used and abused for the purpose of I. When you begin to actually know Satan and want to become like Satan, know that in the process you will become less a human and more a beast.
Venus, your videos are an inspiration to me. From watching your videos I have become a stronger person, and I look forward to each and every video you post. Hope to see more soon. I hope you are well. I send many blessings your way. Hail Satan!
It just hit me, how did I find you? I find your confidence in your faith amazing to watch (Aka no bullshit, and take it for what it is) tho I am not a Satanist, I do enjoy your here making your point, and learn a little more about the world I live. My only gripe. Stop smoking, it's killing you, it would suck to lose you to cancer. (I know you didn't ask, so I apologize in advance).
Dnt worry venus dnt mind the people thats saying that u didnt bother reading the bible and that ur going to burn in hell because i started reading the satanic bible and at first i got a little scared but it my scary feelings fade so easily which means i have read the bible and now i am starting to read the satanic bible.
Hello, Venus I been wacthing your videos and I want to know if you would be willing to help me with some personal questions, please let me know as soob as you can, I really do need some help.

Dagon684 1 year ago
@Dagon684 In my vacation to North Holland 2 years ago I had met and spent some hours with a man and a woman who by word of mouth called themselves chaos-gnostics. Unlike your American style of Satanism from what I had gathered it was very polytheistic in the sense it uses many notable and recognizable deified beings that come from the two sources mentioned earlier, and that allegiance to the 'dark gods' if you will can go so far as self sacrificing your life through death if necessary.
Dagon684 1 year ago

@VenusSatanus what do satanists think of the illuminati and have they played a role in its upbringing?

... such a secret is the light, as white as the snow that kills the grass.
The moon... grey.

Even the "Brotherhood of Satan say their belief in Satan goes back to the old country.
timishardcore 1 year ago
@timishardcore Just had to chime in here; the Yezidi are only Satanists by Islamic standards and other fundamental religious standards. They do not see Melek Taus as Satan or any other form there-of. Not being a dick, just sayin'.
ProphetWolf 1 year ago
@ProphetWolf I do not see you as anything other than a commenter with an opinion. The Yezidi predate Islam and the story of Melek Taus is a story line along that of Satan's.The Al Jilwah would indicate they are.Have you done any study of them?????? mine is minimal but I would say they are.
timishardcore 1 year ago
@timishardcore Yeah, I've studied them for a while now; from what I've been able to gather is that while the Yezidi do in fact predate Islam, they have since incorporated much of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism into their beliefs. Much akin to the Gypsies who take on the religion of whatever people they are surrounded by, except of course the Yezidi aren't travelers. They do believe in God, but they consider Malak Taus to be the one who takes care of things here on Earth, that's why he is so
ProphetWolf 1 year ago
@timishardcore (part 2) important to him. There is also a reoccurring theme or mantra amongst the Yezidi and that is "Good and evil exist in the heart of every human" (or some variation there-of). Their connection with Satanism is only because the Muslims considered them Satanists (but then again, to them, who ISN'T?!) and I think LaVey may have indeed fallen for some of that hyperbole on his eager search to find anything remotely "dark" or "Satanic". An interesting religion, but not Satanic.
ProphetWolf 1 year ago
@timishardcore Keep in mind that what i typed is a VERY rough and brief understanding of the Yezidi. If you find some more info on them I'd love to hear it; I could be wrong on some of the things I have stated, though I'm only going off of what i have read and what I have heard in interviews and so-on, and they are not my primary theological interest; just one I enjoy doing research on...
ProphetWolf 1 year ago
@ProphetWolf I find them to be of interest myself. My knowledge rests on the same as yours, interviews, videos, books and so on..what do you think of the Al Jilwah??? Just remember that "Satan" existed before mankind as it were. The Al J is a source for some Satanist organizations for theology.
timishardcore 1 year ago
@timishardcore The Al Jilwah, I personally believe, has a LOT of mystery behind it. The main reason being is that no one (to the best of my knowledge), aside from the Yezidi, are allowed to read it. This of course opens up the flood-gates for authors wishing to make a quick buck. I recently ran across a book by Isya Joseph published in 1919 I think that talks about the Yezidi. He even has a line in his book that says "...by means of this book, Al-Jilwah, which the outsiders may neither read nor
ProphetWolf 1 year ago
@timishardcore (part 2) behold." which of course leads to the logical question of "Then how the fuck did YOU get a hold of it?" Also there was apparently a large influx of other works published around 1911 to 1913 that all claimed to be the Al-Jilwah and most scholars agree that these were published for the sole-purpose of exciting tourists or some such horse-shit. I think it's important to keep in mind that anything not of God or Allah or Jesus can easily be considered "Satanic" by the devout.
ProphetWolf 1 year ago
@timishardcore (Part 3) I personally don't know how much credibility I lend to these Satanist organizations who use the Al- Jilwah as their main source of theology. I know that the Joy of Satan uses it (just went to their website - they're so "Satanic" they still use angelfire, lulz) but I'm not wholly familiar with them. I personally believe in nature as being the supreme being; and for that, if you've seen the movie Antichrist, I'd be considered a Satanist, though I certainly don't see myself
ProphetWolf 1 year ago
@timishardcore (part 4) that way. It is easily the same with the Yezidi; what some consider good, others may not and visa-versa. But that's my take on it. You?
ProphetWolf 1 year ago
@ProphetWolf Yep what you posted is true. The Yazidi are not satanic, and satanist's acceptance of them as satanic comes from christian/islamic cultures who labeled them as satanic. It is akin to the christian labeling of muslims as evil, and then satanists worshiping satan as iblis through the koran. Now that would be funny, indeed.
VenusSatanas 1 year ago
@VenusSatanas Which does bring up a question that I've never thought about before; are there Satanists who worship Iblis who come from a Muslim background?
ProphetWolf 1 year ago
@VenusSatanas To a degree YES Prophetwolf is correct. We need to understand that the Yezidi belief is older not only than the Muslim belief but that it is older than Judaism itself. The Hebrews are the descendants of Jacob/Israel(yes I know that Abraham/Issac are as well Technically). The Yezidi claim a 6,000yr old visitation from Melek Taus.
timishardcore 1 year ago
without darkness, the light cannot exist, because one cannot exist without the other - balance is the key. same with the christian notion of thinking the light of God will overcome the darkness; this is illogical since light and darkness must coexist, or either will cease to exist

@8Ivion8 - Michael Ford also has very poor editing and research for his books, thus why they are never cited when others write about satanism or the occult and they need a reference on Goetics. Started in America? This must mean you regard Satanism as a literary construct before the 1960s; I believe there was a Satanist in Norway in the early 20th century who shot and murdered a taxi driver in order to express non-dualism/transcendence of morality! The reference is in a book Pilgrims of the Night, but I have mislaid my copy, so I have only a hazy memory of the ref.
nargargole 1 year ago
@nargargole - really> You consider the acts of one who is mentally ill as something that represented pre 60's satanism? Come on now, i expected more of you!!
VenusSatanas 1 year ago

Anyways keep up the good work and keep posting your videos.
dvharris75 1 year ago
@dvharris75 - people interpret his work in whatever way they see fit. They also lionize him. that does not take away the fact that he was an addict, and that there is not one student that ever succeeded him at what he taught. Where are crowley's original students? What did they accomplish in life?
VenusSatanas 1 year ago
@VenusSatanas Calling Crowley and addict is just focusing one part of what he did.
Thats not even close to the whole story. As for his original students a lot of them did go on to have success. Isreal Regardie was one of students back in the 30-40's. Plus plenty of people have followed up upon his work especially the work involving his Thoth Tarot deck which is a occult masterpiece all unto itself.
dvharris75 1 year ago
Venus, if by saying Satanism didnt exist before the 1960's you mean Lavey's Athiest secularized form, I can agree with that. But if your telling us that Devil Worship didnt exist before the 60's, with all do respect, That just isn't true. By "Devil" worship im referring to any evil archetype from any spiritual practice, not solely christianity.
kalieda 1 year ago
@kalieda - archetypes? An idea created by Jung? What does that prove, that Jung could fit any idea into a pre-made system? There was no satanic group prior to the 1960's. Saying that 'this was evil, that was satanic etc', hardly proves anything at all besides the fact that we can label ANYTHING as satanic. A satanic movement would require a source, documented evidence, a group, books, teachings, leaders from that org, a structure, and - a continuance into the future of their works in society.
VenusSatanas 1 year ago
@VenusSatanas This make a good point.Maybe evil "paradigms" is a better word than achetypes. Yes we can label anything as Satanic, but on the same token, Lavey took pagan deities and incorporated it into reverence of Satan even though they have nothing to do with each other. See how that works both ways? I have a question that maybe you can answer for me. Why go through the trouble of calling oneself a Satanist if they're really Athiests? This is something ive never understood about Laveyanism.

TrppyTV 1 year ago
Good to see you back, Venus...In my opinion , modern Satanism started here in the USA, of course with Anton La Vey.
However, the worship of Satan was going on back into the Middle Ages when disgruntled monks were performing the Black Mass as a rebellious act against the Catholic Church.
Personally... La Vey made Satanism into something that is more of a intelligent and rational philosophy, and less of a mindless worship of some dark god.
mari66101 1 year ago
As a satanist i must dissagree with ur statement that satanism started with lavey in the 60s. Yes what we lable as satanism today most certainly started with lavey. But my research shows the worship of Satan goes back 1000s of years.
darthvadermisfit 1 year ago
@darthvadermisfit More than thousands of years and it did not start where you would expect it to.
so6tansayaso16el 1 year ago
@darthvadermisfit I believe the same thing. There is evidence of satanism going back to ancient Israel. LaVey merely organized it, but he didn't create anything new. Satanism has always had a certain aspect of deception going for it - satanists don't always identify themselves, and when they do they don't come clean as to what exactly their beliefs really are.
ghoststun 1 year ago
@ghoststun
we don't have to come clean and declare it. in many professions we'd be ostracized by management and co-workers if we did.
we don't have to go around defending it on a daily basis and by being somewhat secretive about our beliefs we don't have to debate it daily. we are not the one's on the corner milkcrates trying to get donations. LeVay espoused this discretion as well.
ave satanas!
MrNytn2001 1 year ago
@MrNytn2001 No, I don't mean "come clean" about being a satanist. There's no need to tell everyone "Hey, I'm a Satanist/Christian/Buddist/whatever". I mean, come clean about the TRUE NATURE of the satanism they practice.
Most satanists will admit to being a satanist but will lie about it's true nature.
For example, Anton LaVey invented modern satanism for the money. There is a lot of deception in LaVey's life. In the end, Satanism is about "theft of energy".
ghoststun 1 year ago
@ghoststun - Who cares if he did it for the money. We all work for money does that mean our lives are worthless? We have satanism today as a SOCIAL MOVEMENT because of lavey. Like it or not! You dont have to like lavey at all to realise that fact.
VenusSatanas 1 year ago
@ghoststun - REalyl? Thats SO funny, where is this evidence? Saying that something WAS satanic does not make it so. There is no evidence of any SOCIAL movement that is even remotely related to SATANISM until the 1960's. Evidence would be publications, people, organizations, members, hierarchies, etc.
VenusSatanas 1 year ago
@VenusSatanas I started practicing Satanism when I was 14 and read the Satanic bible for the first time when I was 14. I'm now 56 and coresponded with Anton Lavey and the Church of Satan back in the sixties. There is a part in The Satanic Bible that mentions organizations existing before the 1960's and one of them was called "The Hell Fire Club" which some of our founding fathers were suppose to have belonged to which one name it mentions is Ben Franklin, what was that?
redheart54 1 year ago
@VenusSatanas Evidence? There has always been a contrary movement to the popular belief. Go back to the old testament, you'll see references to satan. There must have been a social movement TO OPPOSE the One God (satan=adversary, to oppose). Take some sociology classes and you'll learn about how to spot a social movement.
Here's an easy one. A contrary religion to Judaism and the One God? Let's try the Book of Exodus and the golden calf. CLASSIC satanism.
isn't that SO funny?
ghoststun 1 year ago
it seems to me that Satanism caters to the more primal aspects of the human condition and as such is devoid from maximizing that which is GOOD. Therefore it cannot be a good thing to practice it, as it makes a person in effect a mere animal without the divinity of their higher intellect and abilities.
UltimoLatino 1 year ago
@UltimoLatino - oh that would be the assumption, yes. If you dig deeper you will find that the intellect is also part of our being as well. Why not embrace all aspects of what it means to be human?
VenusSatanas 1 year ago
@VenusSatanas "Why not embrace all aspects of what it means to be human?" There is good reason for this. Because there are facets of human nature that are not conducive to maximizing the overall good. Consider, it has been argued that it is human nature to: rape, commit genocide, steal, kill etc... there are strong cases to be made that each of these things are a part of the human conditions however unlike animals humans have a choice and can choose to reject these parts of ourselves.
UltimoLatino 1 year ago
@UltimoLatino - I would disagree. It is also our nature to socialise, to love, to nuture our children and to take care of ourselves and each other. We also reproduce.
Animals are territorial and they also kill each other for ways that are not related to food. What does any of this have to do with satanism as a social movement?

@ghoststun - i dont know, i wont try to interpret their lyrics. we all see what we want to in song lyrics, anyway.
VenusSatanas 1 year ago
@VenusSatanas well, he wrote "Torture Is what I love". I want to know what you think about that. the language seems very direct and to the point. you are a fan of Slayer - is he warning about torture, or bragging about it?
My understanding of Satanism from you is that it's not about deliberately hurting other people. How does the song lyrics "Torture, Is what I love" fit with that?
ghoststun 1 year ago
@ghoststun - i dont think much of it. I don't know what his intent was. I also dont recall slayer being the voice of satanism. They don't decide what satanists should do. So what they sing is really of no consequence to me, nor does it really have anything to do with satanism, in general.
VenusSatanas 1 year ago
@VenusSatanas Seriously? you tell us you like his music, he sings "torture is what I love" and you don't know what his intent was? You don't think that statement is straightforward enough?
My point is, I've met satanists and they all seem to be liars. LaVey seemed to enjoy seeing how many lies he could get away with. Liars are cowards, they are afraid of the truth. And here you don't understand one of your favorite bands.

Crowley was not a Satanist, he was an Occultist.
VampirePraemium 1 year ago
@VampirePraemium Satanism was rife in 17 century France and much practiced by the nobility and the court of Louis XIV. Look up Catherine Deshayes, a.k.a La Voisin. The LaVeyans may dismiss such theistic Satanism as devil worship and thus reveal themselves. If worship of Satan is not Satanism then what is? But following this, Satanism was well established even in the 15th century.
ChAoTicReverence 1 year ago
@ChAoTicReverence I am a LaVeyan personally and no I don't see Theistic Satanism as devil worship(though I believe Satan demands study not worship). Satan and the Devil aren't the same, that's a Christian misconception. Satanism in general is about self-empowerment and individuality both in Theistic and philosophical Satanism.
Worship of Satan is a broad area, some of it is just reversed-Christianity, which is rare, just gets a lot of attention.
