@JablinSaeve my dear, it depends on how you perceive the statement. They just want you to stop recording, some talk and some say get out. If your freaked then stop. I guess you are acting exactly the way they wanted you to. dont trip, human beings, alive or dead are still human beings. some nasty, angry, folks you wouldnt invite in your home, but most are just like the rest of us, decent. You make the call. You'll get what you ask for i guess.

@zandj710 And you have to consider, if human disembodied spirits remain on Earth after death (I do not believe they do...I believe they exist, just that they do not hang out here), they are made of the same stuff our own "living" true selves are made of...spirit. We're the same thing...we just happen to still live in the vehicles of our flesh and blood bodies. Nothing whatsoever to be afraid of.

Now demons...that's another story, but even they are merely flies and gnats.

@czkp - Sorry, I know it's a year later but, yes of course you can. My advice though.... make sure you really, really want to "open that door". Some regret their decisions later on, and don't know how to "close that door" back up. Spirits don't give a crap if you know them or not, and some can be VERY pushy and become aggressive as well. I would recommend the book, "Beginner's Guide to Mediumship" by Larry L. Dreller. He'll give you the tools needed to start, or stop contact with, "them". :)

Well the one evp that you had first played back the long one I have recorded some one here at my house sounds just like her. I have been doing evps for a long time I talk to dead people in my opinion there are not the same voice. Please watch my videos I have some truly amazing evps a lot of class a evps talk like you and me do.

What is that noise that sounds like the pitch is screehing? I have experience with EVP work and most of it has not been good as the entities were negatives. Anyway, I recorded a phone conversation in which I was conversing with a Medium and the electronics went haywire and that sound was all through it. There was cracking, breakups and that sound which sounds like a recordi needle on a record slipping. Any info I would appreciate. It was the exact same sound.

Yes my love, it is and can happen. Ive experienced it personally just this very evening. I am fortunate that i have a spiritual protective shield around me or else wot happened to me couldve been alot more serious. The energy that came thru, i believe may hav belonged to a person who hung themselves and i was at 1st overcome with a chill begining at the crown of my head n then a feeling of restriction around my throat which made me feel like i could pass out had it continued.

Going through your videos is making me antsy to get back to my EVP work...but the novel must take precedence for now.  Awesome captures, Brandi. Good explanation of why they are genuine as well. Being a former A/V guy it's easy to take for granted knowing about the technical aspects of this stuff...but it's best to remember that most people don't have a special interest and therefore have no specialized tech knowledge.

I know that seeing Joseph was a bittersweet experience for you, Brandi.The loss of time is an unusual occurance,but perhaps not as rare as you may think.I hope that in time you will become more amazed and amused rather than frustrated or frightened.The fact that quantums may have been manipulated during your experience shows signs that Joseph is a very strong spirit.Some folks just "ooze" strong energy when the're alive, so why would they not do the same after they've passed on?

This is so true, PRICEparanormal. We have to share our experiences and remember NEVER TO EXPECT anything, but take what comes. No preconceived notions can enter the mix. For example, when I saw Joe the apparition at the Haunted House on Cleveland's E. Side. I did not know what happened UNTIL AFTER IT DID. This is an uncommon experience-losing time like that. There was a time slip or something unique happening. I don't expect it to happen again, but it may. But I can't discredit the experience.

Listening to an EVP in video or from your audio or any device for that matter can open a portal. A lot of Paranormal investigators will testify to that.

Also, conducting an EVP is like conducting an Ouija Board session. You just need to know how to protect yourself.

Hi angelinsatin, I'm not sure HOW or WHY it may be dangerous to listen to evp at home, but it makes sense to me it's possible. As you'll learn in my video about this spirit (soon to be released), she visited me at home when I had not yet connected the poem evp to the spirit. The visit is what made me make the connection. In this case, no harm from the visit. It was a visit. She gave me the message I needed and left. But what if she had stayed, or was evil, I wondered?
