Even though am a big yankee fan, I kinda enjoy that we are not going to the playoffs just to prove a point that Joe Torre was the reason we won all those championships. since Hank took over we've had: A change of manager, a change of stadium(why?) and all we've had is a terrible season. I really miss joe, I grew up with this guy. :(

I have almost the same feelings here. im 15 so i grew up with mr.torre, i was spoiled. best manager ever, and when he was fired i was honestly heartbroken. but im not happy how the playoff situation is looking. but it pisses me off how hypoticritcal hank is being, joe torre was fired becaause he couldnt win the world series, but its okay that joe girardi doesnt make the playoffs? if this was torre still in ny, shit would be hitting the fucking fan. so im happy that torre doesnt have to deal

no kidding he wasnt fired, he walked away but they were pushing him out the door. i mean a one year contract? imagine the enormous pressure torre would be under in the circumstance the yankees are in if he was still in new york. fuck steinbrenner. i miss torre.

i saw this sason as a learning one, we didnt do the way we normally do, i still think we should have dumped a-rod, kept joe and worked on a more productive rotation. we weren't all bad, moose got 20 wins, jeter took yankee stadium hits, and we were able to notice mistakes made by our team, so lets hope '09 is better, no lets know it will be.

I have to admit I love the way Little Joe has handled Giambi. Big Joe wouldn't have had the patience with him early in the year when he was stuggling. Little Joe has a good feel for the vets and this year may turn out better than I thought.
