The "Face Of Forza" is a Formula 3 driver; Daveyskills (a top leaderboard guy) was on Top Gear; Formula D drifters came by to play the game; PD came by to play the game, take notes, and exchange ideas... What does that mean? DROP THE FANBOYISM, and play and enjoy each game for what they are. In short: GT5= Massive car collectability and strong history, Forza 3= Massive online community with nearly limitless createtivity. I love both games and see the point in both, unlike fanoys from both sides.

i'm a huge forza fan. can't wait to get the game. i am jealous of the shifting animation though. It does add to the realism. I think it was just lazy on T10's part. Even GPL has shifting animation. But at the end of the day, it doesn't break the game , so its all good. Love the 458 by the way.

Maybe if you played Forza, you'd know that every upgrade(engine/body/wheels) has a REAL effect on the physics. The physics run at 360fps WHILST the graphics run at 60fps.  Forza priority=physics. GT priority=graphics.

Gran turismo car tuning is 100 times more indepth than Forza. I played forza its not even close to how realistic Gran Turismo 5.

Why do you think GT5 is so popular it's not popular just because for their graphics it's also the physics. If it was just graphics the game would be reviewed as an arcade feel. When I tune up cars I feel the difference and also the engine sounds changes. Most people says that the cars doesn't sound real. But I disagree I actually compare the cars from reality to virtual. The cars sounds exact no difference. Especially with the Lancer Evo X. GT5 physics are awesome.

As far as shift animation is concerned, it was LAST priority in Forza. Imagine an old 4 speed musce car, the shifting would be slow, what if you upgrade the tranny?, will the extra gears actually appear in the car?, will the driver shift in split seconds?

Like i said before the inside cockpit or in car view looks like it was done by a 3 year old at the last minute.

I also stated the grafix on GT are superior to that of forza, And the word you are looking for is inertia.... Yes forza has minimal inertia, Gt is beter on that front.

But inertia is only a grafical computation and has nothing to do with physics.

Physics in forza are aimed directly at car performance and road reaction relative to that specific car. They are not a grafical prop.

At the end of the day the the physix in forza are unmatched, if your going to make a sim you have to make it a sim in every aspect posible, In my opinion GT is not a sim, its an arcade game and allways has been.

Although really fun to play its not like the real thing.

well you can't spell physics, so you can't know that much about it. Forzas engine is just a bucn of parameters that they change for each car. Only polyphony get the real cars and drive them before deciding what ARE the parameters. Thats why forza's engine is just well...shit.

I agree on the graphix front mate, the grafix are very "livable" [if thats even a word]. The in car view looks like a 3 year old painted it with chalk.

But the physics are unmatched.

In GT your cars just glide around the walls, sliding on rubber tyre walls, bounching off of steal railings.... etc...

And im sorry but thats far from reality.

I personaly dont like damage in a sim, i think it takes away the fun once you have rote your car off.....

There is no such thing as dynamic weather in this demo. It isn't even confirmed by PD. Don't start making up things or ull have a chance of getting disappointed when the game is released. Your wish of setting the time in game according to real time is something hard to produce. Take things easy and just enjoy how the game is looking right now :)

Anyone notice the time of day kinda looks different than the original it looks more like afternoon than morning. It's so cool they DO have dynamic weather changes that will be in GT5.
