  • Amazing rescue. What skill and nerve!

  • I think the ships a bit new to be scrapped.

  • the next morning at like 2.00am

    the winds!

    i was shitting myself.

  • Newcastle could have a new shipbreaking industry to give Alang a run for its money LOL.

  • That will put a dent in that Captains' career.

BTW Its salvage rights from there on in. I'm claiming that sonbitch

  • I bet newy harbour would of been of its head them few days.. too bad the breakwall was closed off so there was no acces to it unless you paddled from stockton.

  • haha this is at my local beach, this was during the Newcastle Floods a few years back, Pasha Bulker was meant to go out to sea but tried to get into the port but failed, it did damage the bottom of the sand a bit, resulting in ALOT of the surfers leaving because since Pasha Bulker has been freed the waves have never been the same...

  • What's the name of this TV show?

  • angels of mercy

    (facepalm)

  • Thanks.

  • The ruder was left on the reaf!

  • didnt the propellor get bent?

  • Awsome to see some of the worlds best rescuers at work Great work!!

  • i saw the ship when it was grounded, it was totally crazy weather for a few days. there were floods all over the city with cars abandoned everywhere all over the streets. we got stuck in traffic with water rising around us, it was pretty scary. actually, it was the captains fault for not anchoring and going further out to sea as directed the night before.

  • that shit was pretty crazy, kinda ruined a good surf break.

  • yes in live in newy and yes got it out week or 2 later and on high tide

  • that ship was made in Cebu Philippines.

it was made by the japanese company here. i could still remember they test that ship back and forth to the sea near my house. late 90's it was done.

  • hey i'm in newcastle. i got to see the boat! it was HUGE!

  • the water around the boat was 11- 15 meters deep. thats about 40 feet of water. Very very dangerous when its choppy like that in a middle of a storm.

  • These guys are surf rescue!!!

  • so did they get the ship out?

  • I would have a bum full of "shit" being whinched into the chopper and god bless all rescuers police life savers etc etc etc who all have balls of "Titanium" :)

  • Another one nearly got beached at Redhead, it only just made it out in time.

  • these guyes are real hero`s!

    !!!!

  • Winky for the win! Props to the Angels, true life savers!

  • who are these Angels? Navy? Coast Guard?

  • Hells Angels...

  • So a civilian company?

  • More like an organization

  • ah, ok.

  • man hes shitting you

Hells Angels is a motorcycle gang.

these guys are probably Australian CoastGuard

  • Sorry "Its Baywatch" BAHAHAHAAH!!!

  • Karopoulos, They did get it back off the beach eventually. They had a team of 4 tugs (3 aussie and 1 from singapore) to tow it away. The first attempt, the cables snapped, but i think it was done correctly the second time.

  • Is this in Newcastle Australia?

  • Yes

  • I knew it! I used to live there, I studied there when I was in Uni. I went to the university of Newcastle. I sometimes surfed that beach, once I hit up the A frames right where the jetty meets the beach. My friends and I walked down on that pier on a similar day. It was intense, the ships looked like hell too.

  • Hey! Change your subtitle! You the smart cookie that got the angles...and they were the angels ;)

  • That's insane!! Hello? How did you get the 'copter footage on the winch????!!! Good job. Fine edits. Love it. (Boobies for the boys...are you in sales?!)

  • kik arse! : )

  • is it all on pasha bulker cookie?

  • there is the second ship being given assistance from running aground as well.

  • did they ever get this ship back off the beach? and if so how did they do it?

  • christ cookie your day job must be fun

    OMG great footage!

  • nice work cookie, certainly without the services of the westpac chopper the crew of the vessel would be in risky situation.I also have respect for the chopper and it's crew.I have a film which i know you know the drama I was involved in.... Respect to the Westpac Rescue Services.
