  • he was 23 at that time!

  • FLAWLESS VICTORY!!! Oh my, it's so beautiful I want to cry! He is literally flying on that lotus kick...

  • The man at 0:02 with the blue suit standing behind Yuan WenQing is his coach, Pang LinTai; Shanxi Wushu Team coach, and for many occasions National Team coach and Olympic Team coach of China. Also coach of Yuan XiaoChao, Yuan XinDong, Liu ZhiRong, Wang DongLian, Wang AiZhen, Zheng WenHua etc. Longest running province coach in the history of Wushu, from the 60s till present, and arguably the most successful with a record breaking 130+ gold medals earned by his students (only counting big comps).

  • @FeiyueKell

  • I have never seen anyone do a better lotus kick than him.

  • I'm learning this form..

I have to learn more from this man..

  • The kick at 50 seconds is known to me as lotus kick haha!

hehe I know this form! Of course compared to him it looks like crap haha!

  • What the fuck!! At the 2.20 suddenly got basketball match..spoiled,anyway the performance is very XCellent!!!!

  • i think the kick at 0:50 is teng kong bai lian. btw i'm a newbie at wushu...would he have done better if his hands were straighter and his legs touch ground at same time--kick at 1:41?

  • Nope. That was a "butterfly" or a xuan4 zi3 (in Mandarin). It's supposed to be a light jump that makes the athlete seem to float. But nowadays some athletes have so much air time that when their legs finish the movement, they're still in the air so they land on both legs. Other than that there's no difference landing on 1 or 2 legs at a time. Hands don't matter, what matter's is how straight the leg is; as long as the angle is oblique it's still okay.

  • unless we meant the same thing this is a tiao yue (jump) it is teng kong bai lian or it is wad i was trained to call it...xuan zi is at 1:42

  • yup the kick at 0:50 is teng kong bai lian. i tot he was asking about the kick at 1:41 =]
