Of course Sr could have handled business with his son(s) more appropriately. But I think Jr really doesn't fully appreciate how much that was already established by Sr. Without that, he couldn't have concentrated more on his creative abilities and would have to work for a living until he could afford to exercise those ventures.

That's is! That's all there is. He wasn't prolific, well known and would have never gotten there without media attention and his son's vision. I don't recall seeing any SR built or designed bikes on TV. All that other BS about work ethic has nothing to do with popularity.
As far as based on character I think none of them should win because they lack professionalism and act like 12 year olds. But I don't understand why Sr. didn't make a chopper bike rather than that 3 wheel thing. Jesse made a good bike you can ride, and most parts by his own hands (though he needs to have more respect for his fellow builders) and Jr has made some great designs but what he presented is something most people wouldn't realistically ride. They should had added a 4th contender.

The popularity of the early Jesse programs like motorcycle mania spawned everything else including OCC's tv show. Paul Jr designs would not have existed had it not been for Jesse. period.

Everyone keeps talking about the bike being rideable cross country and so on. To my knowledge, there was no rules for the build off, which is obvious since Sr brought a snow machine. PJD and OCC as well have built bikes that can do what JJ is claiming his can do. I liked JJ bike, I thought it was cool, I liked OCC's machine. Make another show with rules set in place, have another build off and let the industry vote. Which by the way happened on the live show with PJD taking 2 out of 3 votes.
By the way, I will say this, I really didnt appreciate the beauty of JJ bike until I saw in on TV, it really was a bad to the bone bike and I dig the style. I like OCC's creation, but i'm disappointed it wasn't a bike. PJD's bike, wither you like him or not, is really a thing of beauty, it may only get you 20 miles(which I think was a joke when he said it) my guess is more like around 50 to 75 miles if the tank really is 1gal, but the fact remains, every head will turn when they see it coming.

If you ride, you don't want to have your head at bumper level. You don't want to sit on a metal seat, stretched uncomfortably out there til your arms and back ache. Jessies bike is the real thing for riding long, short or bar hopping. It works and looks good. Who else builds frames and does all his own work? The other two are different and nice, but I wouldn't want to ride them to Sturgis.
Junior's bike is the best. Senior - it just doesn't fall into the "bike" category. Great looking toy though. Jesse - you just need to grow up and get over it - whatever IT is.

Actually James is his REAL last name. I worked his his cousin at General Electric Aircraft Engines here in Cincinnati about 10 years ago. Got to meet him one day when he was still at the top of his game.

I have also ridden across the USA from Ohio to California and back 4 times on 3 different motorcycles and 1 with a sidecar and a dog, and I can tell you that JR's bike wouldn’t make it out of the state either mechanically or comfort wise. That's is! That's all there is. He wasn't prolific, well known and would have never gotten there without media attention and his son's vision. As far as based on character I think none of them should win because they lack professionalism and act like 12 year olds. But I don't understand why Sr. didn't make a chopper bike rather than that 3 wheel thing. Jesse made a good bike you can ride, and most parts by his own hands (though he needs to have more respect for his fellow builders) and Jr has made some great designs but what he presented is something most people wouldn't realistically ride. They should had added a 4th contender.

Everyone keeps talking about the bike being rideable cross country and so on. To my knowledge, there was no rules for the build off, which is obvious since Sr brought a snow machine. PJD and OCC as well have built bikes that can do what JJ is claiming his can do. I liked JJ bike, I thought it was cool, I liked OCC's machine. Make another show with rules set in place, have another build off and let the industry vote. Which by the way happened on the live show with PJD taking 2 out of 3 votes.

By the way, I will say this, I really didnt appreciate the beauty of JJ bike until I saw in on TV, it really was a bad to the bone bike and I dig the style. I like OCC's creation, but i'm disappointed it wasn't a bike. PJD's bike, wither you like him or not, is really a thing of beauty, it may only get you 20 miles(which I think was a joke when he said it) my guess is more like around 50 to 75 miles if the tank really is 1gal, but the fact remains, every head will turn when they see it coming.

Jr. builds nice bikes, but in my opinion, Jesse's bike was clearly the big winner. You can ride Jesse's bike while it looks like Jr.'s bike will never see the outside of a showroom floor. I don't know, it wasn't his best to me.
I'd like to see a rematch between all three. This time build a bike. Not a snow mobile, not a themed bike, just flat out bike that you will ride. That's how all the other bike build offs have ever gone. I wonder if Jr. can even build a bike without some kind of theme.

If you ride, you don't want to have your head at bumper level. You don't want to sit on a metal seat, stretched uncomfortably out there til your arms and back ache. Jessies bike is the real thing for riding long, short or bar hopping. It works and looks good. Who else builds frames and does all his own work? I have also ridden across the USA from Ohio to California and back 4 times on 3 different motorcycles and 1 with a sidecar and a dog, and I can tell you that JR's bike wouldn’t make it out of the state either mechanically or comfort wise.
