Penn State doesn't exactly suck, and Joe still knows football. In the past six years, they've only been blown out three times. I like Illinois and I'm glad to see that they are improving, but if you think Penn State is washed up and that JoePa is too old to coach, remember the 2005 game. But I am glad to see your program improving, because I hate to see any team down 56-3 at halftime. I wouldn't even wish that on an SEC team.

I know that, but I was pointing out that an SEC team can lose big to a non-SEC team (the Pac-10 is another conference that's ragged on alot). Mostly what bothers me about the SEC is the crazy fans who say that Penn State and Ohio State would finish with six conference losses in the SEC and miss a bowl game and act like the SEC is the third conference of the NFL. It's not so much the teams, but the delusional, bandwagon-hopping, trash-talk obsessed fans (who were Miami fans in the 80s and 90s).

i went to this game.. it was insane.. ive been following the illini's insane season.. been to 2 or 3 of thier games so far... vs penn st. and northwestern.. go illini you have won the bid to the dowl so you gotta make it to the end!.. like the song says keep pushin until you finish!

Really? Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State (who's going to the national championship game), Wisconsin, Iowa, and Indiana are cupcake teams? I'll admit Florida International and Buffalo were wimpy, and Notre Dame is having a bad year, but the rest of them are decent to good teams, even Temple who actually didn't suck this year.

I know Illinois is a good team this year but come on, you're not a Rose Bowl team either.

That was a sarcastic question, I know Ohio State is a great team. Usually there's the Big Three (PSU, OSU, and UM), the two who sometimes play at the top of the conference (IOWA and WISC), the middle (Illinois, MINN, Purdue, MSU, Northwestern), and the punching bag (Indiana). This year was a little different, Illinois played amazing, and Minnesota was the punching bag.
