Please don't buy asus OPlay Gallery it is dame slow and hangs some times when you put 1.5 TB hdd inside the OPlay gallery. Be Careful Asus support people does not help on this issue. they say that there is some problem in HDD. While I have put new Hard disk in it.
I am giving this information because you people should not lose your money.
Hey I just bought a new 3TB western digital Elements hardrive, and when I hook it up to my Asus Oplay HDP-R3 it comes up with this message: " Device not supported" Does anyone know why this is and if this can be fixed. do you have to update my asus oplay. I bought this 1.5 years ago. Is it out of date or is western digital HD Drive not compatible?
Quick question...does anyone know if it upconverts the quality of the videos? I have a PS3 and a AppleTV. PS3 shows the videos in better quality than the AppleTV since it has the upconvert fearure like many newer DVD players have.
@sausagenmuff .iso in the case of converting a DVD movie in to an image. Most of these devices can play an DVD/Blue-ray .iso image file. I was wondering if this one did. Turns out it does.
If you use a program like KM player on the PC and open a .iso DVD movie image it will play it as if the DVD is in a drive.
You're right it doesn't make sense by saying this is a video format. But it does make sense that I was just asking if it could be played.
@stickwithahit Just shudup ya face .. nice actor, not so good product. Only device with full format support? dont make me laugh. ACryan, Wdtv live, xtreamer and many others support more formats, in more flexible ways. Shuffle the only music play? how about album play, or playlists?
Sorry but in the video, you repeat the same Access to HDD, and wen mentioning the LAN playing you repeat the same screen, and not the LAN network setting and uses. Sorry but it useless for me, the mediocre demo. Fix and upload again.
did i see fat32 on the drive list view? this wont play hd movies over 4gig and hd needs to be 8 plus to be any good .. butt in if im missing something here
Anyway, it looks a very good replacement for a mediacenter (with all the stuffs of having dedicated hardware, case etc. This should costs less), expecially if it has DLNA compatibility (and you already have a PC on your network with DLNA streaming and mediafiles into it).
Unfortunately it doesn't have wifi connectivity :( but if it'll cost few bucks, i'll probably buy it anyway :)
God damnit, i saw a DIR-655 from dlink at around 2:05. God i nearly barfed in my mouth. It's cost me 40 hours of my life and 30 bucks for a fucking rma.

Does it have these 1-2 second "black pauses" between the different takes like the WD TV does?
If you watch a list of clips (in the same directory) from e.g. your camcorder, the black pauses are very annoying...
