Cool, but not very cool. When I get my millionaire pool, I want solar powered fibre optic imitation plants sprouting up from the bottom so that I can swim through them and have them change color as I touch them. I want friendly programmed robotic fish and crabs etc, that activate and power themselves from solar and water movement. Some of the robots will clean the pool, and some will also have automatic bug and animal rescue programming.

The lights are paterned too, for the price he paid, you would expect a little bit more effort at hiding the "Main Bundles" too. Turn it upside down with brighter fbre optics and you would have a great ambient light effect especially if you did the "Collected sunlight" during the day and powered lights at night. why fibre optics? wouldnt RGB LED's be cheaper? they are like £15 for 200... all you need is a few hundred shift registers with a good micro controller and a basic computer... then you can do a whole lot more

A single optic fiber with almost a kilometer can be tested with a 5$ flashlight. So I'm guessing that you could do that lightshow with RGB LED's and not spending a lot of money on that.
