Ok, now for some constructive information about this device. If you can't open your mind you will never see the real potential for this technology nor understand it. yes they may be starting it on a bench with a power supply doesn't mean if it was rotated vertically gravity wouldn't get it started. even a small solar panel with a few capacitors or low voltage free air energy couldn't get it started.
Sorry if I am not getting it. But, where is the anti gravity, and free energy. I just keep seeing this thing rollers around, and if you open any electric motor it looks like basically the same technology? With all these claims of being a UFO and the technology of the Future, I still have not even seen a video of one SEG flying. @morphacoustic - you have not missed anything. The history of the SEG and claims of it powering a flying machine are all made up by J Searl and his fans. There are no news articles, BBC footage or anything of substance as claimed to back up the stories. Believe me I have looked and all I have found is zip (apart from the blurbs from Searl)
@LiamXaoh You havent looked. A cursory search of the BBC archives turned up a listing of Searl footage, and people in Britain over the age of 45 remember the Searl BBC programmes. THe SEG is the thing that flies, the LEVITY DISC, or IGV as it is called today, is simply a flightframe for control, so it is not lost to space, like the first six SEGs, icluding an Early one that punched thru the roof of Professor Searl's first landlady's house. You are living in the state of denial.

Photos of the magnetic bearing dmonstrator are on the Searl websites, posted yesterday, June 4th. The Runners are measured with the predicted airgap (no friction AT ALL) at 14,449 RPM!!! Yes this is a fine electric motor. It works on the same principal as the motor that runs your hard drive. A timed alternating current is fed through the series electromagnets that run around the device causing the magnets on the wheel to spin. It does not produce any energy but I am sure that consumes quite a bit. (that would explain the electric hum on the video) However it is very entertaining to watch.

ok, i see SEVERAL green LED's, those all use current. Those are electro magnets, there are many of them, and look at the gauge of the wires going to the dist block. I'm 100% sure it could be 1.5V, but it CANT be only 100mA cause, well, think about it. those coils prob take an amp each, and those LED's prob eat up like 250-300mA. (btw, finding an LED that uses less than 2.5-3V is not easy, and it isnt that large, or brght.

Without the benefit of the second ring to stabilise the movement of the rollers, a small voltage is applied to excite the rollers and provide a substitute magnetic force which would otherwise be available from a second ring.
Unfortunately, the "mock up" does not display the true Searl Effect as without the second ring, the rollers are attracted to the surface of the inner ring.

Hi Joebot1, unfortunately, in order to mass produce the SEG, it was necessary to redesign the device. Using new materials, some of which have never been produced before and building purpose made equipment not available off the shelf slowed down the production of the new prototype.

Professor Searl's business plan calls for LICENCESING of the technology (I've had a copy of the SISRC Searl business plan since 1995) and a complete legal team is part of the Team to handle any and all licensing agreements to various international energy concerns, gnerator manufatureres like HONDA, PRATT AND WHITNEY, GENERAL ELECTRIC SPACE, LOCKHEED, and many other companies who have made up the 99% of recent hits to swallowcommand dot com, according to Professor Searl. Look at the biz plan.
They probably would anyways.... from whoever controls distribution of the devices. The only way to absolutely guarantee that doesn't happen is to effectively open source the technology so that nobody can ever truly own it, and anyone with the resources to build it could.
Control of this information for the few of us who know, thru decades of study, is a question of National Security, in this day and age. It is essential that the SEG and IGV are used for electrical energy and manned-flight, and to HEAL people rapidly in hospitals, not to end up putting them there. No, I don't have a problem with inventors profiting from their inventions. All I'm saying is that it's still just another monopolistic control, and monopolies *ALWAYS* result in products being priced as high as the market will bear, which another commenter above was saying that this sort of invention would alleviate. It's that comment I was actually addressing, not criticizing Mr Searle for choosing to do that, because as you said, this is how inventions normally work.
That is why the business plan calls for annual licensing of the technology to a potential manufacturer and distributor, and the compay's performance and business-practices are examined constantly. By licensing to several manufacturers, the companies are competing with each other, and their reward for their performance at getting the Domestic and level-six-square flight- SEG's to domestic, industry and aerospace is to make money and stay in business. Competition. And the people of the World win.
Another poster had remarked about how the SEG could potentially result in people paying less for energy, all I'm saying is that there's no reason to assume that. There's nothing illegal (or immoral) about businesses making money, even outrageous amounts of it, so annual business practice examinations isn't liable to change anything.
You have a point, but you are only talking of the fossil-fuels industry, and that includes nuclear, or anything else dug out of the earth. Annual-licensing precludes licensees failing to perform, or attempting price-gouging, as the fossil-fules industry. Plus, folks using doemstic-SEGs can sell their excess-power BACK to the utility, just as folks who have gone all-solar do right now. So the domestic SEG will eventually pay for itself.
Actually, what I was talking about would apply to any business - private corporation or otherwise. The *ONLY* genuine guarantee against any possible price gouging would be if the technology itself were made public domain (effectively requiring everybody, including the inventor, to compete in the open market as equals). That is not about to happen, evidently, so there's no *REAL* sound and logical basis to assume using an SEG will actually be any cheaper, even in the long run.

Unless you have the money and equipment of the Midlands lectric board, and the financial and heavy-equipment infrastructure, and knowlege of the technology (Law of the Squares), and skill-sets necessary, for others to attept to build the SEG would be unfeasible. This is not a DIY-project. Only big-companies and manufacturing-concerns would be able to build the SEG, and then only if they are conversant with Square-theory, and forget about the 500kW magnetiser!
I said that if it were opened right up and released to the public them anybody with the resources to build it could. The fact that not everybody would necessarily be wealthy enough to have those resources doesn't change the veracity of that statement.

Have you ever tried flipping around the way the plates and rollers are manufactured? That is, instead of using 8 different segments for each roller, have each roller be just one piece, and instead the plates be composed of multiple layers?
Hi markt1964, the design is dictated by the application of the Law of the Squares. Many other configurations are possible and many experimenters have tried 'their own version'. Unless the device is constructed as precisely as the design of an atom, it will fail.
As far as the machine goes, visualizing it is a fun process, as it is an extremely beautiful looking mechanism. I have worked with geometry for fun, and some of these shots of the SEG are exactly what I had drawn. Copper is the most beautiful metal in my opinion as well. Though beauty does not always get the job done, it is nice to see that in this case, we could have power generated by something aesthetically pleasing to the eye as well.

Here's a genuine query for anyone who knows how this all works: If a roller segment is designed using Square 4, level 2 (which it seems to be, according to the documention I've read so far), what squares and levels could be optimal choices for designing each of the three plates?
The very same square. Level-4 square: 4 elements. Minimum-number of elements required. In a random-square 3, level-1, the sum of any row is 12. 12 is the smalles number for smoothe operation of electric-current. Linear motor uses 12-phases for drive-unit. Since 0 is never used in the work, that square and ALL SUBSEQUENT SQUARES start with level-2, which starts with the lowest number=1. I'm assuming a group-3-square, which oscillates, except for the cetre-cross which rotates.
Okay, so a 4x4 square is used throughout, and you say that all 4x4 and subsequent squares start at level 2. Okay, I follow you so far on that. But given that you use a 4x4 square (at level 2) to design the roller segments, what levels for the same size of square would be optimal choices for designing the each of the 3 plates? Also, do you use a level other than 2 for the rollers around any of the other plates, or do you also use level 2?
Uhmm... but the row value of a level 2 square 4 is 34, which is my understanding of where the 34 grams comes from per segment, the plates are obviously considerably heavier than the roller segments, so how can they use the same square and level?
I am NOT an expert on the squares, despite appearances, but I gathered from 18-years of Square-study that all components of the SEG, including magnetisation-parameters, come from the very-same square and level. In addition, all the runners and plates in the batch of sinteered powders had to be the right grain-size and all plates and runners from same-batch. That limitation in manufacturing has since been overcome.

But something that confuses me however, is as I said before, that the mass of 34 grams for a roller segment appears to come from the row value for a level 2 4x4 square. I can see that you could change which row you use and thereby change the proportions, but any row that you use will have the same sum of 34, so I can't see how that could be used for the plates, which are _clearly_ much heavier than the roller segments. Again, it's an open question, I welcome an answer from anyone who knows.
Four-square is minimum for SEG. 4-elements: Electron Reservoir (Rare-Earth), Gating-system (polymer, pref w/neg. charge), Electron accelerator (magnetised ferrous-layer), electron emmiter (Titanium), and a paramagnetics-layer of Aluminium or copper flots the rollers friction-free-also conforms to the Squares. If you look at a group 2 square, random-state, you see that the numbers switch position throughout the square. That shows oscillation of the energy-pattern swithin the square, or between atoms. There are three and only three groups of squares, 1. Rotate, 1. Osillate, 3.Oscillate Except for the Centre-cross which rotates.
The plates and runners must all come from the same square. For domestic-SEG, you use a level-four square, group 2 or group 3, and for fantastic-power for a flying VTOL craft, you use a level-six square (6-chemical elements).
I'm confused. On the one hand, there apparently are tiny N/S poles arranged circumferentially around the plates and rollers, but on the other hand there are sinusoidal waveforms magnetically imprinted on them. Could somebody please explain a resolution to these apparently mutually exclusive descriptions?
Sine-wave is on the plates. Cosine is on the runners. The two placed together form a traveling-wave that carries the rollers along with it, because the waves intersect at every 90-degrees, and are 90-degrees out of phases vis a vis plate and runner. This is also how to make a linear-motor. It is same as a 2-phase induction-motor, but with permanent-magnets instead of externally-energised electromagnets, pulsed 90-degrees out of phase.
Right... that's the sinusoidal waveforms I mentioned before. Further, if that's all there was, consider that a sine and cosine wave may always be 90 degrees out of phase, but that's because their respective origins are fixed. The rollers, being physically movable, would have their own origins independent of the plate and simply twist themselves into being in-phase. Obviously, there must be something more to it.
Its also the choice and proportion of the chemical elements according to the square you are using to what you want to achieve, and what volume of space you want filled with SEG: 18", for domestic and automotive-use, or gigantic, 80-feet in diameter for a manned starship like Swllowcommand's STARSHIP EXPLORER manned aerospacecraft- a slender-disc - designed by John Searl from Dream TWO.

Well, I wasn't so much asking for blueprint information as much as just more clarification on the magnetic topology. I'm sorry if I'm actually asking for more information than what can be publicly released, but I'm just trying to get a mental handle on how this all works, and had thought that might not be a bad place to start beyond what I've already learned. I would *deeply* implore Mr. Searl to reconsider his decision to keep this information secret until the device itself is available.

12 is a basic minimum-number in Nature. 12 Months, 12 signs of Zodiac, 12-positions on a clock, 12-major scales in the circle of Fifths (music-theory), 12-phases to get a smooth-running electric-motor, etc. You need a minimum of 12 rollers on the inner 1st plate for a smooth-running SEG.
Each octave is made up of eight notes. There are eight squares in hopscotch. The Rollers are comprised of eight-sections. The IGV has Eight landing-legs. 8 SQUARED is 64. The IGV is comprised of 64-basic vertical-struts 7.5 degree angle. There are 64-flight-cells, 64-load-cells, 64-rim-discharge needles. Cabin-cupola on P-11 craft has 8-sides.

Ok, now for some constructive information about this device. If you can't open your mind you will never see the real potential for this technology nor understand it. yes they may be starting it on a bench with a power supply doesn't mean if it was rotated vertically gravity wouldn't get it started. even a small solar panel with a few capacitors or low voltage free air energy couldn't get it started.

There are no news articles, BBC footage or anything of substance as claimed to back up the stories. Believe me I have looked and all I have found is zip (apart from the blurbs from Searl)

THe SEG is the thing that flies, the LEVITY DISC, or IGV as it is called today, is simply a flightframe for control, so it is not lost to space, like the first six SEGs, icluding an Early one that punched thru the roof of Professor Searl's first landlady's house. Photos of the magnetic bearing dmonstrator are on the Searl websites, posted yesterday, June 4th. The Runners are measured with the predicted airgap (no friction AT ALL) at 14,449 RPM!!! And of courcse all the runners are separate little generators, passing on electrons to the next layer, radially outward. That is why the rim is heavy negative-charge, and positive charge is the innermost layer.

Yes it is! Very astute. Some few have intelligent and free minds, and have opened up physics and transportation texts. Good. Professor Searl has also proposed SEG-trains that can fly over the track ("Plate") with no fuel or pollution. The SEG was originally a linear concept. Reason the rings are called PLATES, and the rollers called RUNNERS.

Yes this is a fine electric motor. It works on the same principal as the motor that runs your hard drive. A timed alternating current is fed through the series electromagnets that run around the device causing the magnets on the wheel to spin. It does not produce any energy but I am sure that consumes quite a bit. (that would explain the electric hum on the video) However it is very entertaining to watch.

This magnet mockup SEG gyrocell is set spinning by only 1.5 Volts at 600 milliAmperes current. Roller-sets will then spin at 200 mph, and produce energy, as shown, even in this crude magnet mockup of an SEG.

ok, i see SEVERAL green LED's, those all use current. Those are electro magnets, there are many of them, and look at the gauge of the wires going to the dist block. I'm 100% sure it could be 1.5V, but it CANT be only 100mA cause, well, think about it. those coils prob take an amp each, and those LED's prob eat up like 250-300mA. (btw, finding an LED that uses less than 2.5-3V is not easy, and it isnt that large, or brght.

Hi wbeaty, ....The electrons then pass through whatever is connected to these coils and after flowing through the light/hi-fi/fan heater etc, return to the centre of the SEG for 'recycling'. It is a closed loop system unlike a standard battery, where the chemical reaction causes flow in one direction only and unless the battery is rechargeable, is used once only.

Also without the benefit of the second roller, the rollers do not run at equal distance from each other as a result of insufficient cross magnetic interacting fields.
In answer to your question, in the SEG the energy (electron movement) is being produced by the interaction of the fields of the moving magnets.

Hi wbeaty, The answer is yes. However in this demonstration you see a 'mock up' of the technology. Without the benefit of the second ring to stabilise the movement of the rollers, a small voltage is applied to excite the rollers and provide a substitute magnetic force which would otherwise be available from a second ring.
Unfortunately, the "mock up" does not display the true Searl Effect as without the second ring, the rollers are attracted to the surface of the inner ring.

Where is generation of energy, where is levitation? If there is an effect why you haven't demonstrated it yet? All I see is simply an elaborated electric motor powered by AC.
What takes so long to get new physical phenomena demonstrated or you just simply collecting money from people?

Hi Joebot1, unfortunately, in order to mass produce the SEG, it was necessary to redesign the device. Using new materials, some of which have never been produced before and building purpose made equipment not available off the shelf slowed down the production of the new prototype.

They probably would anyways.... from whoever controls distribution of the devices. The only way to absolutely guarantee that doesn't happen is to effectively open source the technology so that nobody can ever truly own it, and anyone with the resources to build it could.

No, I don't have a problem with inventors profiting from their inventions. All I'm saying is that it's still just another monopolistic control, and monopolies *ALWAYS* result in products being priced as high as the market will bear, which another commenter above was saying that this sort of invention would alleviate. It's that comment I was actually addressing, not criticizing Mr Searle for choosing to do that, because as you said, this is how inventions normally work.

That is why the business plan calls for annual licensing of the technology to a potential manufacturer and distributor, and the compay's performance and business-practices are examined constantly. By licensing to several manufacturers, the companies are competing with each other, and their reward for their performance at getting the Domestic and level-six-square flight- SEG's to domestic, industry and aerospace is to make money and stay in business. Another poster had remarked about how the SEG could potentially result in people paying less for energy, all I'm saying is that there's no reason to assume that. There's nothing illegal (or immoral) about businesses making money, even outrageous amounts of it, so annual business practice examinations isn't liable to change anything.

You have a point, but you are only talking of the fossil-fuels industry, and that includes nuclear, or anything else dug out of the earth. Annual-licensing precludes licensees failing to perform, or attempting price-gouging, as the fossil-fules industry. Plus, folks using doemstic-SEGs can sell their excess-power BACK to the utility, just as folks who have gone all-solar do right now. So the domestic SEG will eventually pay for itself.

Actually, what I was talking about would apply to any business - private corporation or otherwise. The *ONLY* genuine guarantee against any possible price gouging would be if the technology itself were made public domain (effectively requiring everybody, including the inventor, to compete in the open market as equals). That is not about to happen, evidently, so there's no *REAL* sound and logical basis to assume using an SEG will actually be any cheaper, even in the long run.

Unless you have the money and equipment of the Midlands lectric board, and the financial and heavy-equipment infrastructure, and knowlege of the technology (Law of the Squares), and skill-sets necessary, for others to attept to build the SEG would be unfeasible. This is not a DIY-project. Only big-companies and manufacturing-concerns would be able to build the SEG, and then only if they are conversant with Square-theory, and forget about the 500kW magnetiser!

Have you ever tried flipping around the way the plates and rollers are manufactured? That is, instead of using 8 different segments for each roller, have each roller be just one piece, and instead the plates be composed of multiple layers?

Hi markt1964, the design is dictated by the application of the Law of the Squares. Many other configurations are possible and many experimenters have tried 'their own version'. Unless the device is constructed as precisely as the design of an atom, it will fail.

As far as the machine goes, visualizing it is a fun process, as it is an extremely beautiful looking mechanism. I have worked with geometry for fun, and some of these shots of the SEG are exactly what I had drawn. Copper is the most beautiful metal in my opinion as well. Though beauty does not always get the job done, it is nice to see that in this case, we could have power generated by something aesthetically pleasing to the eye as well.

Here's a genuine query for anyone who knows how this all works: If a roller segment is designed using Square 4, level 2 (which it seems to be, according to the documention I've read so far), what squares and levels could be optimal choices for designing each of the three plates?

The very same square. Level-4 square: 4 elements. Minimum-number of elements required. In a random-square 3, level-1, the sum of any row is 12. 12 is the smalles number for smoothe operation of electric-current. Linear motor uses 12-phases for drive-unit. Since 0 is never used in the work, that square and ALL SUBSEQUENT SQUARES start with level-2, which starts with the lowest number=1. I'm assuming a group-3-square, which oscillates, except for the cetre-cross which rotates.

Okay, so a 4x4 square is used throughout, and you say that all 4x4 and subsequent squares start at level 2. Okay, I follow you so far on that. But given that you use a 4x4 square (at level 2) to design the roller segments, what levels for the same size of square would be optimal choices for designing the each of the 3 plates? Also, do you use a level other than 2 for the rollers around any of the other plates, or do you also use level 2?

I am NOT an expert on the squares, despite appearances, but I gathered from 18-years of Square-study that all components of the SEG, including magnetisation-parameters, come from the very-same square and level. In addition, all the runners and plates in the batch of sinteered powders had to be the right grain-size and all plates and runners from same-batch. That limitation in manufacturing has since been overcome.

But something that confuses me however, is as I said before, that the mass of 34 grams for a roller segment appears to come from the row value for a level 2 4x4 square. I can see that you could change which row you use and thereby change the proportions, but any row that you use will have the same sum of 34, so I can't see how that could be used for the plates, which are _clearly_ much heavier than the roller segments. Again, it's an open question, I welcome an answer from anyone who knows.

Four-square is minimum for SEG. 4-elements: Electron Reservoir (Rare-Earth), Gating-system (polymer, pref w/neg. charge), Electron accelerator (magnetised ferrous-layer), electron emmiter (Titanium), and a paramagnetics-layer of Aluminium or copper flots the rollers friction-free-also conforms to the Squares. This will be my last comment for a couple of months; I am just too busy with the 3-meter IGV.

If you look at a group 2 square, random-state, you see that the numbers switch position throughout the square. That shows oscillation of the energy-pattern swithin the square, or between atoms. There are three and only three groups of squares, 1. Rotate, 1. Osillate, 3.Oscillate Except for the Centre-cross which rotates.

The plates and runners must all come from the same square. For domestic-SEG, you use a level-four square, group 2 or group 3, and for fantastic-power for a flying VTOL craft, you use a level-six square (6-chemical elements).

On the one hand, there apparently are tiny N/S poles arranged circumferentially around the plates and rollers, but on the other hand there are sinusoidal waveforms magnetically imprinted on them. Could somebody please explain a resolution to these apparently mutually exclusive descriptions?

Sine-wave is on the plates. Cosine is on the runners. The two placed together form a traveling-wave that carries the rollers along with it, because the waves intersect at every 90-degrees, and are 90-degrees out of phases vis a vis plate and runner. This is also how to make a linear-motor. It is same as a 2-phase induction-motor, but with permanent-magnets instead of externally-energised electromagnets, pulsed 90-degrees out of phase.

Right... that's the sinusoidal waveforms I mentioned before. Further, if that's all there was, consider that a sine and cosine wave may always be 90 degrees out of phase, but that's because their respective origins are fixed. The rollers, being physically movable, would have their own origins independent of the plate and simply twist themselves into being in-phase. Obviously, there must be something more to it.

12 is a basic minimum-number in Nature. 12 Months, 12 signs of Zodiac, 12-positions on a clock, 12-major scales in the circle of Fifths (music-theory), 12-phases to get a smooth-running electric-motor, etc. You need a minimum of 12 rollers on the inner 1st plate for a smooth-running SEG.

Each octave is made up of eight notes. There are eight squares in hopscotch. The Rollers are comprised of eight-sections. The IGV has Eight landing-legs. 8 SQUARED is 64. The IGV is comprised of 64-basic vertical-struts 7.5 degree angle. There are 64-flight-cells, 64-load-cells, 64-rim-discharge needles. Cabin-cupola on P-11 craft has 8-sides.
