oh I feel ya. I guess you do need a little bit of all that in there. cause then it sounds like it has to much high end to it sometiems with certain style vocals
@BeatsByPeach most people do that, but when it comes to vocals it makes it sound more raw and warm if you dont roll anything off. It's personal preference really.
yo man i get that but when i try to export my final project and im done wit the song. the beat dosent sound as loud as when i put it in. its lower. is that normal i wanna get that good quality shit man PLEASE HELP
Hey guys, it would be great of you could check out my channel! I use FL studio too, and it would be great if you could give me your opinion! I you like my stuff, comment, rate or even subscribe! Thank you if you're even reading this! :D
Maybe it's just different technique but when I am EQ'ing vocals or any other instrument I ALWAY SOLO the track. You can't hear what's going on with the vocal when you have the backing music and/or drums playing with it. It has to be "naked."
Still a good tutorial bro I just disagree with that particular piece of it.
This is a pretty good tutorial, but I feel like it would be more helpful if you explain WHY you add/subtract from some frequencies, which does what, and the effect the Q has in each case. There's that adage that no two mixes are the same and you have to often do things a little differently for each song, so it's more useful to know "what to do WHEN..." than "what I did here."
@limajal uh... try turning down the volume in the headphones for starters. And also give them a basic mix, mute some of the tracks you won't need to hear to do the vocals.
@limajal You need to have the singer wear headphones (or earbuds), make sure they've got a good enough design that they don't let a lot of sound leak out, and keep the volume playing back low enough so that the singer can just hear the music and themselves without too much getting out. Also mute any tracks that aren't necessary for the vocalist to perform when recording. Pretty simple fix.
@slokaka no. you can not use VST plugins in Pro Tools it uses its special on type called RTAS. logic uses AU files. VST are not compatable with Pro Tools. The plugins are designed by the makers of Pro Tools and some come with it for free and others trials like in FL Studio when you have Image Line plugins.
the track is fire.

That has to be the most annoying use of an arpeggio i've ever heard in a song. I hope you don't really intend to keep that in there.

why wouldn't you jsut drop off low and mid low frequency cause it doesn't seem that the vocal is doing anything in that frequency anyway?
