  • messy process? setting up cameras at multiple locations to film everything is unrealistic? they do it for sports all the time, psh...

  • Obama is a good Christian President, and he had to be applauded for all he has done so far.

  • @ProtestantsRUs kill yourself!

  • Obama's Health Care Reformation.... Do you believe in this government law? See my you tube profile page and Know exactly why Americas opinons matters !!!

  • Strong arm is not a nice game. I see only one way to solve this mess, remove all those that broke the law in passing this billing illegally and for every death that comes from it a charge of murder. Not even a national of America and did all this damage. Not much damage if removed and all he signed is stricken from the records. The bad debts of the treasury would be hold by the top share holders and founders (the queenie-poo and the bushes +++) and not the Americans.

  • How many ways can he lie about his facts?

He dares us all to call him a liar to his face, yet not one republican tells him directing to his face. Repubs are just too polite.

Fact one: everything obumer touches something ...this country looses,i.e. picks kansas to win march madness. Last time I looked, kansas got their ass kicked.

  • stop paying taxes!

  • obama=jimmy carterX100000000000000

  • Obama calling GOP "obstructionists?" Seems like he's taking "responisiblity" for obfuscation, hiding the details of the Health care plan, behind closed doors. Mumble that one out of your mouth, Obama.

  • President Obama . . . in all due respect . . . you are a jerk.

  • OPT OUT of blomacare...

    Its poison..

    Nobody wants it...

His own DEMS scattered after he asked them in his state of the blom speech ""Don't Head for the Hills""...and they scattered like mercury droplets on a tile floor....Even his own wants no part of it...The sleepin GIANT has INSOMNIA now......time to git out da way chumps...

  • The Dems would be in much better shape if Ted Kennedy was still alive. This president has so many good ideas, unfortunately those assholes in Congress (Republicans and undercover Republicans AKA Blue Dogs) won't agree to help the country.

  • This is a slight unmeritable man, meet to be sent on errands: and, though others lay these honors on this man, to ease themselves of divers slanderous loads, he shall but bear them as the ass bears gold, to groan and sweat under the business, either led or driven, as they point the way; and having brought their treasure where they will, then take they down his load and turn him off, like to the empty ass, to shake his ears and graze in commons.

  • > B O would LOVE to have the Fidel Castro or Hugo Chvez kind of power.

    > FUBO

    > O ne B ig A wful M istake A merica.

  • God you can say that again. Obama=Carter

  • The Obama camp has acknowledging that Barack Obama lied about his abortion voting record on the born-alive bill.

The New York Sun reported that Obama's campaign has admitted that the senator voted against giving medical care to babies born alive after an abortion attempt, a fact that the campaign originally dismissed as a "smear." The reality behind the Obama rhetoric is that he "worked against efforts" to ban the gruesome practice of leaving babies who survived failed abortions to die.

  • He "stood up" to someone??? Does this President EVER just answer questions?? He misdirects, accuses, rambles on,and even accepts guilt but he WON'T answer the question!!!

  • Good for President Obama for not backing to the GOP!! Considering what was left on his plate when he walked in the door!!

Just like after 9/11 when our country was "united" and Dubya ruined that sentiment by going into Iraq.........Our country was "united" after the election of President Obama and Sen. McCain "promised" to work with the new administration.....once again "dividing" the nation!!

GOP come up with some solutions instead of being the party of "NO"!!

  • Alex Jones is a nutjob.

  • Obaomao has shown his true colors, and he is a failure of epic proportions, just as many predicted he'd be. It's Time for O to go!

  • @Zile77: more lame hate-spew from a failed GOP troll.

Jeez, it must really suck to be as worthless and pathetic as you.

  • The Recession is over, nuff said.

  • News out now is the smooth talker Scott Brown than was so praised for the Massachusets win, well he is related to Obama and Bush and them, go figure, spirit oils anyone?

  • Spine LESS president...forked TONGUED president...waste of good mens time. Barack you are all done!

  • Our there any issues that you want to persent here, Or is it fact you realize the only thing you have is personal attacks?

  • LOL...have you not seen what has happened? the country is awake and this GOP bull-crap is no good anymore. You are no more a patriot than anyone else. I've spent four years deployed in service of my country and this is a man whom I am proud to call my Commander and Chief. So how about you get on a banana boat and go to wherever you want to go... I've been tired of seeing this crap since I've returned. People like you are who are actually ruining this country. Im from NY and u r the idiot..

  • @shalcall Lieberman is a RHINO! As in Republican-In-Name-Only. The guy is as spineless as they come and bends to the will of the Demonrats on EVERY issue.

  • Obama is a messy process, he and his Commi White House..

  • I'm gonna get some white girls pregnant for my kids to be light skin and have good hair cause it seems to be a big thing these days, LLOOOLLLL ! !

  • jeano:

LOL... on the kids. Sorry you're dealing with that. Not sure what's wrong with people.

I am a woman. It matters not about skin color. It's how people present themselves. If I was alone on a dark street, I would be afraid of a ratty-haired white guy --- but --- I shouldn't feel "guilty" for also being afraid of a black guy who acts like he's up to no good. Hell, I'm afraid of some of the big bad-ass white mamas out there too :)

  • @2010GOP - WOW ! ! You're a woman, my bad, I thought you were an old dude. LLOOOLLLL

  • jeanol:

Yes, surprise!! I am a little white woman --- I guess I just type like an old crusty white man :)

  • 2010 GOP, this is some pretty funny chit. I hope, for your sake, it's satire.

  • I'm keeping all of my big guns, all of my money and you can keep all the "CHANGE".

  • I see you hick teabaggers are still crying over that ass-whipping you clowns took yesterday....lol.

    STOP CRYING LIKE BITCH !!!

  • There's no middle class in America, George Bush make sure of that by destroying it. Right now, there are 2 classes in America, rich people and poor broke people.

  • jeano: Try pulling your head out of the sand & educate yourself. You are a prime example of what's wrong in this country --- ignorance.

Take note you're unable to explain "why" you believe Bush destroyed the middle class. That's because you're clueless

Who signed NAFTA which has crushed manuf jobs? CLINTON

Bush gave the middle-class a tax break; Democrats want more of their $. Democrats get creative on what they call it in order to confuse little minds such as yours

  • @2010GOP - Maybe I'm misinformed, I thought Republicans are against everything, they're even against raising the minimum wage, right? Bob Dole voted against it. What's the Republican agenda? What's their ideology? What's the republican belief?

  • jeanol1:

Take for example: Dems pushing for tax increases & spending. They rile their base up that this will help the poor, etc

    Reality: Businesses lay-off

Of course, Republicans get labeled as being for the rich, etc. No, Republicans, unlike Democrats, understand the economic effects & how it will affect your job

Meanwhile, while the poor are trying to make ends meet on unemployment, Pelosi's jetting around charging taxpayers $1000 per week for food & mix drinks (official records)

  • @2010GOP - I'm not pro- democrat nor republican, I personally think they're the same shit just different piles.

  • jeano: They're not the same as I've explained below. Their core beliefs are completely opposite which equates to how YOU live

    States w/Strongest Economies: REPUBLICAN

    Lowest Unemployment: REPUBLICAN

    Lowest Welfare per capita: REPUBLICAN

    Lowest Crime Areas: REPUBLICAN

    Top-ranked Public Schools: REPUBLICAN

    .... and Lowest Taxes: REPUBLICAN

Meanwhile, areas in the United States that are the poorest have voted for Democrats 40+ years in a row

  • @2010GOP - Why the republicans let the poor voted for democrats for 40+yrs? Where they went wrong? Why they let it happened?

  • jeano:

Republicans didn't "let" the poor vote Democrat. No offense to the poor, but typically they're not as educated.

Democrats use the poor's lack of understanding & promise them more bread crumbs ---- and yet, the same ghettos that existed 30+ years still exist today.

Meanwhile, Republican areas have prospered..... and they've done so with lower taxes. Businesses flourished, poor people got jobs... and so it goes

  • @2010GOP - What state are you living in?

  • jeano:

Transferred from Houston to Charlotte, NC 3 1/2 years ago

  • @2010GOP - I used to live in Austin, TX and they're so stuck up into that republican thing, they're racist downthere too and now I'm in PA and it feels even worse than TX, people in PA looked at you like they've seen a ghost or like you're going to rob'em or something.

  • @2010GOP - How can you explain that somebody working 2 full-time jobs and still can't pay the bills at all in the so called "Richest country in the world". If we were that rich, there wouldn't be hunger and homeless people at all.

  • jeano: 2 full time jobs & not make ends meet?

Democrats have proposed tax after tax after tax, calling some "fees". The list of taxes you actually pay is mind-boggling, yet many don't realize it

When Govt taxes a Corporation, what happens? While Dems are rallying to tax the "evil corporations", corporations just increase the price of what they sell you --- from fuel, sodas, gum, cars -- everything. Look at taxes on just your phone bill

That's where Pelosi's mixed drinks come from

  • jeano:

What happens when minimum wage is increased?

Due to the fact Democrats want to tax businesses to death, if employers are forced to pay more wages per person, they simply have less people working for them.

Wouldn't it make more sense for Govt to stop pathetic wasteful spending so they won't ask for more taxes from your employer? It would make your job more secure & a greater chance you'll receive a raise. Maybe your employer could expand so you can be promoted, etc

  • jeanol1 Why don't you try to educate yourself before you spew your liberal bullshit.

  • Just look at the people in the crowd, all you see is rich white people. I guess Obama was the only black there and he must have been scared to death. Maybe that's why minorities, blacks and latinos are pro-democrats. I understand the republicans were against slavery, they were against discrimination, they encouraged the civil right movement, black people supported them. Where did republicans go wrong by letting minorities to be democrat? Why the republicans aren't reaching enough to minorities?

  • jeano: If you've paid attention to politics, researched, or studied recent history, you'd realize how asinine your comment is

Virtually 100% of Democrats in office have NEVER even held a real job --- they're nothing but career politicians -- clueless on business/econ

Top millionaires in Congress are Democrat

Blacks have simply fallen victim of Dems brainwashing. GW Bush appointed more minorities than any prez before him. Poorest areas in the country have voted Dem 40+ years straight

  • jeanol1 FYI: Why do the minorities (blacks) vote Democrat?

Democrats created the KKK to beat or kill the black Republicans. If they (the blacks) were Republican, there beaten or hanged. That has stuck with the blacks - even though the Democrats' false promises of taking care of the minority class has NEVER been true: black people still are struggling and poor people are still poor.

  • Obama's version of negotiations and bipartisan. Is like him putting a turd on the table and calling it a candy bar. He trys to negotiate it as a candy bar. But when everyone wants a closer look at it, he hinds it behind a closed door. But what was seen from it everyone really knows it was just a turd. And being no believes him, they are called teabaggers, the party of no, blowhards, and unwilling to unwilling to compromise.

There's nothing to compromise, it's a damn turd.

  • lol!

  • How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg? Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg. -- Abraham Lincoln

  • Is that anything like the Army's "third arm" inspection?

  • He killed them.

Then buried them. Then he fucked them while dead.

  • As usual, Dems love Obama, stating falsely who controlled Congress and when, and completely disregard the catalyst for this meeting--A REPUBLICAN TOOK A DEAD KENNEDY'S SEAT! Dems no longer have a free-for-all. Even Pelosi said she would listen to the voters in response to the loss in Mass. 2010 is going to be a rough year for Dems. How quickly you forgot 1994. And I voted for Clinton the first time. Obama is nowhere near the caliber of Clinton. End of story.

  • This is going to be the year of lies. And it has already started.

Democrats are going be forced into reaching deep into the magic hat. They are now mading mud for all the slinging.

  • "What is true" @ 2:21 is very interesting. Why would you suggest in a lead in that THIS statement is true, but whatever I said before might not have been completely accurate, therfore I feel compeled to highlight the fact that this is a true statement.

  • Obama kicked their ignorant, baseless talking point asses. 1 against 140 and he didn't have a teleprompter.

ok, he didn't kick their ass but he definitely held his own w/ them point for point. I noticed Fox cut the show off to just talk among themselves.

  • jrubin22 Obama put on another show. It was all talk again. So far, that's just about all he has been. All talk. No action and no keeping of his promises. He has not helped our economy, our unemployment or the safety of our country.

  • Mr obama why can you not hold your on party together. Is it Bushs fault ?

  • "I'm not a member of any organized political party. I'm a Democrat." -- Will Rogers (circa 1935)

  • First of all i give Obama credit for taken up the invitation to listen to the Repub House thingy. Second this freshman house guy was so spot on about shutting the door on the Repubs. Congrats to this young man. I am a independent voter and this meeting confirms my beliefs. Cspan was not used the way Obama said it would be when he campaigned. Also that nasty House leader Polosi has to step down. She is a menace to the Dems and Repubs.

  • pardon me ,,he looks like a dumb fuck ape.......

  • he looks like an ape with his dumb ass ears, just watch that coward monkey bfucker.

  • welll hes black , think before you shoot

black and white just hand it over and be done with him

  • @ulstermandc and @angrybob1970 thank you very much for your comments. We are Americans. We are patriotic. Listen to the words of the President, he's making sense, these items in the bill will help Americans. They're rational and fair. Health care problems--costs--could bankrupt the country soon. Listen to this speech, he's trying, against opposition who did nothing about this problem when they were in power at all levels of government. We have to work together. God bless the USA.

  • yes yes yes and lets tax the living hell out of the american people in the process of making sence and helping americans.... cheers cheers, drink it in

  • And you really think Obama care about you worthless live in this nation. His says there's nothing wrong with useing government money to kill unborn American citizens by the 100's of thousands, and you really think Obama is worried about you well being.

If you are wanting to work togather, work togather at ridding this nation of a people that are so willing to destory it. Just as Obama said he wanted to do 5 days before the election.

  • Exemptions for unions are fair?!

  • @munseym Me being in a union, I say no it's not fair.

Obama is the president of all Americans, not just the unions. What one gets, we all get.

But then again that is how it is in Kenya. Support the government in Kenya, the government will support you.

  • It's obvious that health care reform can't (and probably shouldn't) be passed without Republican support. The Republicans have refused to participate and/or have been shut out of the process, but claim they have a better plan that was ignored by the Democrats. Fine. Why not use the Republican plan as the point of departure, and see what can be worked out from there?

  • Because the country is broke you fuckin idiot.

  • Scott Brown after MA win: "...we're past campaign mode. I think it's important for everyone to get some form of health care, so to offer a basic plan for everybody I think is important...I think we can do it better. And to just be the 41st senator and bring it back to the drawing board, there are some very good things, as you just pointed out, in the national plan that's being proposed..."

  • not downing anything you said, but they are not on different teams. wink wink nudge nudge....

  • Shhhh!!!

  • Communist and Chief?!? You're obviously a damn idiot or too blind by ignorance! For any president to attend a conference of the opposite politicial party/affiliation speaks volumes about his/her character. I don't understand how people can't understand that the man is trying to quell some of the same ol' Washington political BS! I don't recall your boy Bush doin' anything close to this in the 8 years of his presidency! Stop the NONSENSE!!!!!!

  • bush sucks, obama is no better.... if you cannot see it is the same deal then you have not payed even a little attention. this is not about bush or obama, it is about the people, look at what you pay, look at what you get, look at your debt(or the countries), look at the big picture. Ask yourself, is any of it getting better?

  • hancockification In Feb. 2009, Obama signed $787 Billion Stimulus bill, saying it would "fix the economy". He also claimed the stimulus would create 3.5 million jobs by the end of 2010.

-- Obama and the rest of his clowns need to create 6.3 million jobs to meet Obama's promise....

2.8 MILLION JOBS HAVE BEEN LOST since Obama signed the $787 billion stimulus package!

That is NOT INCLUDING the 85,000 lost last month (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics_1/8/10).

  • i didnt disagree with you one bit. in fact i agreed with you....

  • hancockification Oh. Well, I gave some information that shows how much better Bush was than the one who's in office now.

Now you have some more fire power.

  • all i am saying is that he is the same, they are all the same, its not all about jobs, its about giving us just enough to keep faith in them. there is no faith in them, look at all they point on us and take away. we cannot rely or trust gov. to do work for us. just sayin

  • hancockification Small business owners account for 80% of all private sector jobs in our economy, and 70% of all jobs now being created, but the are not playing a huge role in this phony summit? The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, one of the biggest proponents and supporters of free enterprise in America not invited?

  • Here's who Obama is trying blame. Any company making over $250k. But words them as "big business" or "large corporations". Making it sound like companies the size of Microsoft, but it's anyone that hires people. A small business owners to Obama are self-contractors. As of his speech, Obama is waving a tax break in peoples face at hire new employees. But not for the exsiting employees. They would first have to be layed off to hire new people to get the tax break.

  • (cont) so what do this do. Causes employors to lay off older workers or really anyone they can't get the tax break from. And hire all new employees. But yet the liar will claim to have created new jobs. When really it was just a rotaion of employees for tax breaks.

I'm telling you Obama is a totally dumb ass, and anyone believing his B/S are too.

  • Comment removed

  • Work together guys get over your personal agendas. Obama is making the attempt here.

  • stockjonebills Obama is not making an attempt to work toegether. He's just putting on another show. He claimed if the Republicans had a better, less expensive idea on health care, dealing with terrorists or anything else, he would have used it. He lies. He doesn't listen to the Republican's ideas because they go against his agenda of "changing" America. They have sent letters to Obama with not response. They have been locked out of discussions and while the health care plan was being written.

  • @CasperCee Do you know how silly that sounds Casper? He showed up at a Republican only meeting to take questions (and barbs) and answer them. Listening to an idea is not agreeing with it. It is listening and then forming your own opinion. Are not clever enough to know that or are you just a tool of the elephant machine?

  • ulstermandc You don't get it. The Republicans have put forth many ideas that are cheaper and better ways to take care of our health care and economy. Obama has ignored them. Their ideas do not follow Obama's progressive movement.

Bill Clinton had it right: Listen to the people.

Obama said, when he addressed the Nation: "I did not explain my health care plan well enough."

Which means he is not listening to people. He wants people to agree with him, NOT him agree with the people.

  • just having an idea is not good enough. They have to be good ideas. The truth is they have made many concessions and included republican ideas in the bills, but it has not garnered even one vote.

Where is the republican leadership. They produce a budget with no numbers and a healthcare plan that doesn't insure even one more person.

The people agree with Obama, that is why we elected him with an overwhelming majority. The republicans are putting their agenda above the needs of the people.

  • @ulstermandc

Had a democrat won in Mass, none of this would be an issue. It literally took a smug democrat candidate and a dead Kennedy to cause Obama to even dream about being in a room with a Republican. Otherwise, it would be business as usual, more rhetoric, and a continuing campaign.

  • isnt that what he said there? "work together"? so blaming every other person but yourself is working together??

maybe its not the PEOPLE who need to get over themselves and agendas.....

  • hancockification In 2006, over 2.1 million jobs were created (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics_1/6/10).

-Pelosi said Bush policies "favored the privileged few at the expense of America's working families."

By 2007, 5.7 million jobs were created by Bush (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics_1/6/10).'

-Harry Reid said Bush had a "shameful history of losing American jobs."

  • hancockification In 2003, 87,000 jobs were created (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics_1/6/10).

-Dem House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the 2003 job creation was "far from enough"

in 2004, over 2 million jobs were created (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics_1/6/10).

    - Sen. Dick Durban (D-IL) said Bush "Created a climate... where the number of jobs is not growing."

In 2005, over 2.5 million jobs were created (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics_1/6/10).

-Pelosi call the 2005 job creation numbers "Anemic."

  • cant rely on gov. statistics but yes no jobs created by gov. if there were it was gov. jobs, nothing good there, just bigger gov.

  • hancockification Correct. Government jobs are jobs where you have a limit to how much you can make.

Obama's job summit in late November:

    - small business owners, not invited

    - U.S. Chamber of Commerce, not invited

    - National Federation of Indpnt. Bus., not invited

    - Opponents of Obama's stimulus spending, not invited

    - Andy Stern, Pres. of the Service Employees International Union, invited

    - United Steel Workers union president, invited

    - Anna Berger with SEIU, invited

    - Obama donors, invited.

  • either way gov. jobs = bigger gov. more money to gov. less to people. besides that the money gov. contributes to there gov. counterparts goes mostly right back to gov. or there favorite potential reps. so either way you look at it, the economy suffers. dem/rep its all a waist of time and money. less gov, more priv jobs = better economy and more profitable jobs for people plus more money to the people. sad more people dont realise this; instead they just believe all they hear from there reps....

  • hancockification That makes a problem. Businesses are just creating jobs as in previous recoveries. In previous economic recoveries the very businesses we relied on for new jobs weren't being threatened with huge tax increases. What smart, small business is going to expand at a time when the political party in power is talking about tax increases that could increase that business's federal tax burden by as much as 15%?

  • that goes into our currencies stability. which wont last as long as things stay on the current course.

  • hancockification Something else people don't realize is that tax cuts mean more spending which creates more jobs. Raising taxes does the opposite for both.

Obama is going to be raising taxes to cover his health care plan, his Cap & Trade and his many other policies.

  • your a smart person. great work thinking for yourself. its not easy in todays society, to much to cover, to much people dont have time for. hell once a week people study the bible, study your gov. 1 hour a day shouldnt be to hard. hell gov. directly effects the person right, lol.

  • hancockification People today don't have their priorities straight. They don't educate themselves about what effects our country or who is going to lead our country. The writing was on the wall about Obama. As soon as he was elected the Democrat candidate, I started to study his past. The best way to get to know how a person really is is to see who they've been surrounded with & who they studied. Obama has been been surrounded by people who hate America & learned from Marxists & Communists.

  • Oh Look! Theres the Communist in Chief! Where is the politburo and his financial crime syndicate buddies?

  • Out pillaging and plundering your all-white community

  • Obama & Bush it's all the same

    Ron Paul is your answer.

  • MrStandforAmerica...The very nature of your reponse and name calling of others leads me to believe that much of your venom is masking a deeper issue...I never comment on these sites...and now I know why...like my daddy says, "Boy...never argue with a fool...because from a distance no one can tell whose who." Farewell and good luck in life.

  • @angrybob1970 Just show you know. MrStandforAmerica gets paid to make venomous comments all day long on venues like this.

  • @ulstermandc Then where's my money? Damn Obama lied again. He said the check was in the mail, and that was last year.

    You dumb ass.

  • @MrSTANDFORAMERICA . Only a dumbass would spend so many waking hours trying to denigrate other people and make that his sole purpose in life. Honestly, I wonder how so many people, whether left or right, could spend so much time calling people names they disagree with on Youtube. People they have never met or will, from the anonymity of the Internet . I think it is a small mind, a hollow soul, devoid of love, with nothing else to do in life that would do this. I am sorry for you.

  • @angrybob1970

You have fell pry to Obama and all his lies. Now thatyour have made him your God, you pry that he;ll keep the war he is about to cause somehow finds a way of never happening. Because the 5000 dead in iraq will be nothing compared to what Obama is soon to be starting in the USA.

All this has happen in the past and you Democrats didn't learn the last time.

The next one there will be no quarter, there be no surrender at Appomattox.

Making sure it never happens again.

  • Single payer is a dead issue...which is a good thing!

  • Funny how Republicans now have all the right answers for solutions to the mess they created over the past 8 years...maybe they do....guess it takes a crook to catch a thief.

  • Funny how liberal twits rewrite history to suit their own needs. Forget about who controlled Congress for the last 2 years of Bush, forget about Frank, Dodd, etal, forget about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and you know what else.....forget about controlling anything in 2010. Wasn't a dead Kennedy's seat overwhelmingly won by a Republican a wakeup call for you? It was for Obama and his destination for lame duck status.

  • It was Bush who set the policy for regulators to not regulate banks and investment firms that caused the financial melt down. Now that Obama wants to get our money back, guess who's against it.

You must be learning history from Fox News.

  • I think you forget that deregulation of Wall Street started under President Bill Clinton not President Bush. Still you make some good points on the fact that its not enough to have ideas, they must be good ideas. That's the overall problem in D.C., there are a lot of ideas but not all of them are good so I suggest you not only direct that toward the GOP but towards both parties because not everything Democrats are proposing are good stuff.

  • With a Republican Congress lol. Bill was a good guy, I don't pretend that he was perfect lol, because he was far from it, but on the whole he wasn't so bad.

The deregulation under Bush makes Clinton's look atomic.

Oh well, I try not to play the blame game, I just want to fix it, and to do that we need an actual Liberal in office, not the corporatist "Republican in disguise" that Obama is. Bernanke is a useless prick.

  • Gramm Leach Bliley never deregulated financial institutions that give loans.

Then Fannie and Freddie were the main problem and the Bush administration said they were and the main resistance to regulating them was Democrats including Barney Frank who said they should do more.

So in the end it was not deregulation, but government intervention. Without the government offering to buy loans, it wouldn't have happened. Give bad loan > sell to government > government sells it and screws other banks.

  • "Obama want to get our money back". this is priceless he gave out half of that money, without any constraints, conditions or proper accounting, same as Bush. Now he want to impose tax on somebody, anybody just to get it back. Another priceless phrase " banks and investment firms that caused the financial melt down" - can anybody name them except for obvious 3? Can anybody describe what actually constituted that "financial melt down" ? Reps and Dems use this phrase as a scare crow.

  • No, I have yet to learn anything from Fox, only that liberals are insanely anti-Fox. I ate today and Fox had nothing to do with it. OMG! But Fox makes non-democrats do and say bad things!!! Naturally, it has nothing to do with failed policy, empty and broken promises, and a continuing campaign that never seems to end. You even unwittingly stated America voted overwhelmingly for Obama. No. Most stayed home. Check your facts. 2010 won't repeat 2008. It will repeat 1994. It's already started.

  • if your not involved get involved

  • All Obama has to do is fight for a single payer system in which all government employees elected or unelected get the same health care as everyone else and he has a winner... And there would be no fear on being on Cspan.

  • @FlopSideOfLife2009

Ah the old single payer system, but to do that America would have to become aCommunist nation first.

Sorry didn't see your profile, you are a Communist.

  • If Obama can't get what he wants by lies and bluffs he resorts to fake humility and ass kissing. He's like a spoiled mama's boy and a sicko that will do anything to get what he wants.

  • Bipartisan means twice as bad! I want them to fight it out tooth and nail!

  • We had 8 yrs of Republican failure & during the time they were in the majority in Congress, they held closed-door meetings & always excluded the Democrats. Republicans swindled the American people out of trillions of dollars & never worked with the Democrats. They shut them out. Now you all act like we didn't have 8 yrs of Republican self-destruction and you say Obama is a "liar."

Obama is the greatest president ever. You're lucky we bother to listen to crybaby Republicans at all.

  • @calebbaojia LOL we have had 4 years of Democrat control. With one year witha Democrat president. And the nation is about to go belly up.

I'll take those last years anyday of the week.

Obama says he has the power to make That which is unequal equal and that which is imperfect perfect. This is the "hope" Obama offers.

And you are dumb enough to believe his bullshit.

  • Least Republicans can't blame this ass kicking on a teleprompter

  • There are three things you don't do:

    1. Never sword fight with Zorro.

    2. Never piss on Superman's cape.

    3. Never debate against President Obama.

  • The Republicans really fucked up--they started out trying to make this adminstration fail and openly saying so.

  • @mopsius Yes, this is a classic case of careful what you wish for. Transparency will expose the lies, from either side, and the American people will be able to decide. Republicans are in a big trap now. If they refuse to keep doing this, they will be called as hypocrites. If they keep doing it they will be caught in lies, if they keep telling them. If you do not fear the truth then you will not suppress the truth. Lets see how they react.

  • Mark my words this is the turning point in American democracy. Obama reached out to Republicans in a public open forum, where they could vent all they want. If Republicans truly wanted open debate, they will continue these open forums. If they decide to no longer do this, they will loose all this momentum that they think thye have.

  • Obama and Emanuel and Carville just ran the Republicans into a swamp.

They are now identified as obstructionists.

They are not going to be let out.

    This could get brutal.

  • Give it till November--some Republicans will be down on their knees pleading for their lives.

  • This is a liar that will concede to whatever to push his death bill because he is losing and refuses to hear the PEOPLE he make broken promises to knowingly which is out and out lying to the people to get elected. That is called fraud and should be charged for such. I don't want to see you Impeached, I want to see you in JAIL for criminal actions you took against the people. Removed by the Supreme Court you just BIT.

  • Did you even watch the video?

  • Comment removed

  • BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!

Republicans nationwide are buying up all the steaks and first aid kits. It's mass hysteria in the streets. They're trying to bandage up and get the swelling to go down from that beatdown they took today. Details @ 11.

  • I can't afford $60 a month for cable so if any of you have more and longer videos from the meeting today between the president and gop I would like to watch it.The parts on the news they showed made Obama look bad but I would like to see the unedited version the media doesn't want the public to see

  • I happened to find it on CSPAN today and watched it in its' entirety. I think CSPAN offers it on the net. Just go to CSPAN and look around there.

  • and truthfully it was great to watch today because living in Illinois I dont know many of the other members of congress that well. By watching today I did get to see the perdsonalities and forms of questions the republicans in the audience asked. I think it helps us to get to know all of them actually. Id like to see a eeting like this even with Obama with all the democrats too discussing their thoughts on decisions as well. Would help us all get to meet some of the members from other states

  • Obama has been avoiding that for over a year. He wants no transparency. None. He slipped up a little here under pressure because of the intensity of watch dog groups now starting to plague him. To dog him. It is a growing phenomenon. Thank God

  • Obama agreed to this over a month ago. Who was our last president that agreed to meet with the opposing party's caucus for any questions they might have? Especially a minority caucus AND do it on camera?

  • oops yes I did mean the republicans...I miss typed on that first post!

  • absolutely. Im a true believer in ALL major decisions in congress to be aired on a cpan! And I do think these types of discussions will help all! They need to work together instead of these far splits. We are more split now in america then I can ever remember before...and its terrible! And no I thought the rpublicans looked more today like they wanted to work together. Obama came across to ME as he believes his way is the only right way

  • for the person below who said the democrats got their butt whooped...I found just the opposite and Im in independant. I thought their points were very good and the President completely ingored what they said and just kept saying his way was the only right way. In this clip I thought Obama lied in each of the responses to each of his questions. Today showed me the man is basically a liar. . His speeches are very motivating and excellent, but they are proving only to be words. He lies.

  • @DaLizardLady I assume you meant Republicans got their butts whipped. Well then surely you will support these continued open forums where Republicans are able to challenge Obama and his facts. Then if he lied, and the facts support that, he will be called out. If you want transparency, you will surely want this televised on CSPAN, speaking as a true Independent.

  • I'm sorry, but exactly what lies did he tell?

  • This meeting restores my faith in Obama. If you wanted transparency you got it. An American President addresses his opposition in a public forum. Where everyone can hear. If you truly believe in Democracy, you would completely support these forums. But my guess is the Republicans will realize this does not help their politics. And never agree to it again. Which underscores their hypocrisy. If they agree to continue to do this, which is very healthy for our democracy, I am wrong.

  • @ulstermandc We are not a democracy and we should all be thankful for this. Every democracy, in the history of the world, has failed! The framers of the constitution wanted to avoid a democracy at any cost! A democracy is three wolves voting to eat the sheep!

  • @VictoryCough With respect I disagree. We are a democracy and it is a very messy business. Because most democracies end up having political parties whose main intent is survival, democracies end up being very political. Someone once said, "Democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms.." I chuckle when I heard this because it is so true. But it works when we have open dialog like this. This is what democracy is about. My faith in America is restored.

  • look at the core groups of politcians, they are fragmenting, something big is going on in the background,...what can it be???its so complicated ....

  • The Right has been suckered--they just walked into a quagmire and Obama is going to make sure they go down there.

  • Obama is a gifted liar, but his lies, like the one about tort reform being in the democrat health care proposal are easy to check if you are really interested in the truth. in fact, most of the lies he tells are easily checked and refuted. There are more and more people doing that now that the word is out on Obama

  • Sure, why don';t you write book documenting them all in detail, NotEasily Regimented.

  • A televised Q&A with the President. The first time that has ever happened. Well it was televised on MSNBC and other networks. Fox News cut off the Q&A after republicans were getting their asses kicked. Nobodies suprised by that.

Republicans wanted a Q&A with a President. He didn't have to do it but he did. Be careful what you ask for.

I'm waiting for Sarah Palin to address the house democrats now. Or whoever the GOP leader is. Like that will ever happen.

  • The Gop had 8 years to fix HealthCare and chose to do nothing. Now they're accusing Pres. Obama and the Dems of ignoring their proposals. What a bunch of hypocrites !

Pres. Obama schooled these GOP neoclowns today. Tee Hee Hee !!!!

  • The Democrats controlled the Senate 2001-2003. The Democrats controlled the House and the Senate 2006-present. Which 8 years are you talking about?

  • I doubt the person you are responding to knows what you are talking about. Many of these people here just ferry back and forth between mediamatters or talkingpointsmemo and copy and paste.

  • Saying the Democrats controlled the Senate 2001-2003 is a bit disingenuous. It was 50/50 until Jim Jeffords left the Republican party and became an independent.

  • @shalcall Which was in 2001. Until Jeffords left the Senate in 2003. What is disingenuous about that?

  • Jim Jeffords voted democrat more often than not. So that was no loss to the republicans. But I am glad quit posing as a republican!

  • How many democratic bills were submitted during the last 8 years?

  • wisdumcube No pure Democratic bills were passed during the Bush administration. At least, none that I know of.
