  • Now I'm wet. This monster-console will blow away all the other stuff on the market! Crazy hardware... *like*

  • Thumbs up !!!!!!

  • What`s the dynamic range?

  • @anointed01 It's digital.......facepalm.

  • @anointed01 24bit xD so... 196ish dB from noise floor (sampling floor) to clip. Could be 170 something, havent done the math xD

  • @Panicoad: Would you be able to use those "shorted" insert cables to get direct outs from the input channels for more recording options?

@Behringer: I'm also interested in DAW control for editing the tracks you upload and remixing them using the X32.

  • DAW controller? If not, will there be a DAW interface option via FireWire (e.g. HUI) in the future?

  • Where the hell is the X32 Digital Mixer at the NAMM 2012 Show?!!! This vid is from 2011 and the NAMM 2012 show is happening now with one more day left, but not one word or video up here on the progress of the X32 Mixer?!!! C'mon what gives?!!! Is the unit VAPORWARE or what? For an April 2012 release date doesn't seem this X32 is ready.

  • @thedragonb We had three fully functional X32 prototypes with us at NAMM last week. We appreciate your patience, and we know that the delays are frustrating. The X32 will indeed be shipping out this spring.

  • Nice..

  • But... Will it blend ?

  • @TheCrazyNuggetFR We lol'd.

  • 1. He says the X32 can record 32 channels of discreet tracks via the USB, but the Berhinger site states 16 tracks of USB recording direct to a hard drive/flash drive. Which is correct?

    2. I use MOTU's 24i to get 24 simultaneous discreet tracks of recording to my Mac w/ Cubase. What expansion card/s do I need to record 32 discreet tracks simultaneously from the X32 to a Mac w/ Cubase? Behringer expansion cards? If not, please share the make/model of cards- Trying to get a real cost projection.

  • @thedragonb Sorry about the confusion. AFAIK, there are indeed 16 tracks. As far as the expansion cards, we'll have more info on those as we get closer tot he end of the X32's production run and closer to its ship dates.

  • @thedragonb I'm afraid that recording outputs are hardwired to the 16 buses just the old DDX3216 so no more than 16 channels could be recorded simultaneously by any means...

  • Behringer!!!! I love bcr2000, hopefully u guys can somewhat integrate feature from bcr2000 like having lots of presets!!!

  • This dude is killing me with the way he keeps pronouncing Console sounds like Cow-n-sole the way he says it

  • Just wondering about the availability of the "optional" firewire card for hooking up your DAW to the X32? I can't find any details of this at all online. Also, is there a spec sheet for the pre-amp's and the X32 in general?

  • @DarkMedievalTimes1 We'll have more details on the FW cards as we get closer to the end of the X32's production run, so stay tuned for more info. Cheers!

  • @behringer Motorized faders?

So you can also use this as a controller?

  • @hardstyleaddictedNL Just to clarify, as a MIDI controller? I'm not exactly sure about that, will check with the team.

  • @behringer Okay,

No need to hurry, it's way to expensive for me.

    I will get the BCF2000.

  • @hardstyleaddictedNL Depends whether there is a built in HUI (Or similar midi control architecture). The motorized faders are mainly for jumping between banks of faders. Which brings up a good point, aux sends can be flipped to the faders right?

  • I'm just worried about the quality of the AD/DA's. I've used behringer gear in the past and it's always been lacking. Very low signal to noise ratio, very chinsy construction very unreliable. I want this thing to be the bee's knees, i'm just a huge sceptic.

  • Holy crap!! 16 AUX sends. That'll cover all my hardware effects units and still have sends available for monitoring (PowerPlay HA8000).

  • I've been dreaming of this feature set for years, can't wait to see AES50 stage boxes. Hope to see rack breakout box for aux sends and i/o options. In addition, mic pre amp with features would be unbelievable. Way to hit it out of the park, game changer style! Freaking Awesome!

  • Can the faders be changed?

  • On the counsole

  • Oh Boy....Wow

  • and where is the cup holder ?

  • @mikepmh5000 I lol'd.

  • @behringer is there an exact release date yet? i really need two of these and if all goes well i will buy them for all my production companies!

  • I see a fan :/

  • That crazy Charlie Sheen! Now he's bleaching his hair blond and hawking audio? Why not?!! Go Charlie, GO!!!

  • "I can't believe you memorized the specs from every other mid sized digital "counsole" in the industry!" I didn't know Edgar Winter worked for Behringer? Amazing product offering.

  • As long as it can be used to record 24-bit 96KHz to Firewire or similar, I'll buy it.

  • This is not a Studio Live contender, but rather a SSL Matrix/Yamaha LS9 alternative.

  • There's 2 points i'd like to know :

    1) size details ( Height Width Depth Weight) Just for the pleasure of drawing the future case I'll build for mine (spring 2012...sigh !)

    2) Infos about a possible Behringer digital snake ?

    Tks. :-)

  • @MrGregARIA We don't have those specs or info about the snake available QUITE yet, but we should as we near the end of the production run. :)

  • how much $?

  • it's beautiful

  • Is it out yet? And if it is where can I buy one looks great! !!

  • @kontratiempo6 Unfortunately it's not out yet, but will be Spring 2012! I assure you it will be worth the wait! :)

  • @behringer i planing too buy one, but, i need to know... which DAw will be the most compatible with it??

  • @TrochezCovers Compatibility should be very very similar across the board. It wouldn't work in our best interest to play favorites. :)

  • @behringer Could this mixer be remotely controlled by either a tablet pc or iPad? That would be awesome :)

  • @behringer Will it be possible to remotely control this with either an iPad or a tablet pc of some sort? So i could put it by the stage where its out of the way and stand in the audience or sit at the bar and mix the show remotely.

  • @KayGee9345 Don't drink and mix!

  • @behringer I wouldn't do that lol, just wanna put the mixer out of the way so it won't get broken. Gigs where I live are crazy.

  • Hey isn't there a 16 channel version of this too? Just checking for those of us on tighter budgets, smaller scale venues, and project/pre-production studios...

  • @WDJDigital There are no plans for a 16-channel version at this time, but I will let the product development team know that there is an interest!

  • is this guy, god?

  • @TheAdamMcdowall Which guy? Ryan or Joe?

  • why do the controllers roll up at 5:28

  • @trickster203 That's to demonstrate the fader automation.

  • @behringer It looks awesome ¬

  • @behringer i love the way behringer comment back to people and treat them more like humans !

  • @behringer hi, i want to know, which DAW will be the most compatible with this mixer, for recording and controllin.... please i need to know.

    Thanks

    Joel

  • Where can I buy this?

  • @InstantReverbPro Unfortunately, it's not available until early 2012, but it will be available in stores and online!

  • will work whit cakewalk ?

  • this mixer will never be released....

  • @desedas1 why do you say that?

  • The Behringer people probably need some security because this mixer is going to destroy the competition. I expect a lot of lies and rumors to come out against this mixer but I'm going to get it anyway because I know how the competition might feel

  • From what I hear and see this mixer is a must have. I'm saving right now for mine. Im thinking I should get a audio interface like a presonus firestudio or RME whatever to record multiple tracks to my DAW but if the firewire or usb option is what I think it is then I may not have to even get those either.

If this mixer does what I think it does then I would say its better to get this mixer than a protools HD system. This mixer will be the end of the line. All you have to get are the accessories

  • Can you save a mix from from one event and pull the same mix up the next week after you've had other events using the board? I need a board that will allow me to bring back the mix from the following sunday.

  • BEHRINGERRRRRR, PLZZZZZ make FL Studio TEMPLATE for thissss!!!!!!!! Come onnnnnnn!!!!~~~~ REply behringerrrr....thumbs up to get a reply!!!~~~

  • Wow

  • Coooiollll

  • I see that this has a usb and soon to be firewire, will it work with Mac?

  • @bradn7 Yes!

  • Only 32 channels of processing, that is such a shame!! 32 physical inputs, and 64 channels please, that's what is expected from a digital console of this type. It's a digital console, and we need splits for FOH and MON. Could have been so good :( Hit and miss IMO. Any chance it's gonna come out in a version with processing/channels for 32 channels and 32 split channels for monitor mix?

  • very nice !

  • Sounds Good no disrespect but behringer is know as a cheap products it's a great price but before I make any decision I need to see this in a Live setting! In my opinion presonus is the console to beat in this price range it's more $ but it has more mobile features I think. Currently in the market to buy 2 Digital consoles!

  • @DjStaxx202 For the things that this mixer allows you to do for the price in my opinion, far outweighs a lot of things simply because you can do them now.

  • AES50 cool now add Thunderbolt and your gonna get er dun

  • If Behringer wants to really shake things up they should design a Thunderbolt connection on the optional card - Macbook Pro ready to go. Very smart unit I hope the mic pre's are decent. It would be funny if they beat Apogee to the Thunderbolt Light Peakpunch.

ThunderBook and the X32 with dital snake Crazy Cheap and could change the

image of Behringer. The B3031A Ribbon monitors are very interesting as well.

    Tommy Hollister

  • Thanks for posting this, very nice.

  • After watching this, there is no way I would spend money on the Presonus fw16. Can't wait for this to hit the stores. Thanks Behringer

  • can i use that for dj with my technics turntables?

  • The X32 for $2500. This is a crazy price for a digital console.

Now there is no excuse for making hits records and putting it on itunes.

  • exelente, cual es el precio

  • Is it a 'counsole' or a console?

  • This thing is perfect for me but I wish it had a VGA output for that monitor but it doesn't matter I like using my ears. I have a SL3242FX and wish it was digitally controlled so I could recall the pots but keep the sound.

I tested my SL3242 against some grade A digital plugins and it was as good. So all I needed was some recall and this seems to be right for me especially for the price.

  • @ColdGripHandle VGA output is a great idea indeed! Hmm... :)

  • 1. There's a LOT of lag with the motorized Faders.. Will that be fixed once released?

    2. When will this be released?

  • do want

  • will the option card (fire wire ) allow you to send more than the 16 outputs to your daw ?

  • @kiddkubi I believe so, but the expansions for the X32 have not yet been finalized.

  • That thing rocks and gonna ba state of the art in near future.. fuck the overpriced mackies

  • can i use protools with this

  • @xsistor1 Yes!

  • @behringer can you use... say, FL Studio with the X32?

  • It looks pretty damn good for the money, an optional external redundant power supply would be a good additional feature. The blurb says inserts on all inputs etc, it appears they are only internal though so you can't use your favourite compressor etc on individual channels unless 6x I/O or the optional expansion cards allows it using Adat. Despite some drawbacks I'm still pretty keen on the desk at the moment, can't wait to look at closer when the manual comes out and they're finally released

  • I gotta have it! Don't sleep on this company! This is the game changer. I got one of there mixer and it sounds great. I have a whole Pa system from them and I will put it against anything that's out there. That EP2500 amp are the greatest, the Master digital EQ. The1800 compact subs hit really hard and respond to Low freq very well!!!! I gotta this mixer!

  • I was wondering if there is really a difference in the XLR inputs versus the TRS connections. Doesn't seem so, but I use keyboards mostly. A ton of them. So if phantom power is ingaged on those XLR areas will it be disastrous? Or are they independent per channel. Thanks

  • quiero unaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I absolutely need this. and for $2,500 it beats any price for any console out there for the features it offers ! I'm curious how the Pres sound....

  • I was just about to get the PreSonus StudioLive 24.4.2. I'm at a loss now. Gonna dl the manual.

  • i almost cried when i saw this............this is more beautiful then anything i have ever seen

  • I haven't got a clue what he's talking about, but that thing looks cool-as-fuck!!

  • But, guys, you did put a pan-pot there, didn't you?

It's quite a popular knob in the FOH engineers community....

  • I don't under stand all this not to DAW stuff. It is AES50. It is a digital protocol that is used by MIDAS. Behringer owns MIDAS. Plus they say plainly on their site that they are going to have expansion cards, probably ASIO. And why do they say no DAW control. Their is USB, MIDI, and ETHERNET control plainly on the back of the console.

  • PUOP - Dude Cakewalk is owned by ROLAND they will never work on a solution. They are trying to get Cakewlk users to use their own snake protocol REAC. This is based on AES50 which is the standard that MIDAS uses, which Behringer bought MIDAS. Only way it will work with Cakewalk is if this is a true ASIO protocol via USB or if you by a AES50 card to ASIO.

  • I have to say !!!!! W O W !!!!!

This company has really come a long way. It's great they are keeping budget in mind.

I really hope this is a solid mixer because I would consider buying one.

I will be checking in on this piece of gear.

  • dose it work ableton or cubase

  • @glennandsusie Yes, it will serve as an interface and work with nearly any DAW!

  • Record to flash/usb drive is cool. Direct to DAW would be better.

  • @thatgtrguy It does that too!

  • @behringer requires an expansion card? What's the price on the card?

  • @thatgtrguy I don't believe that's been finalized yet.

  • @behringer

What DAWs does it support? can it be used as a control surface for mixing my recordings? I am currently using an M-Audio delta 10/10lt to get sound into my pc with cubase 5 do I need any extras to get this to replace the 10/10lt? I also need to know if it will record at 48khz as I do a lot of film work and 48 is the normal rate I'm asked for? all info welcome please

  • @FlorryMc Hey, I've submitted your questions to the product development team who worked on the X32 and expect to hear back soon! Stay tuned!

  • @FlorryMc

    Hey FlorryMc!

    From the development team:

1-2: The X32 Remote mode allows emulation of HUI, Mackie Control and Logic Control protocols.

3: Recording via USB-host connection requires optional expansion card, which allows for ADAT, Firewire and USB 32 CH interfacing.

4: 48 kHz recording is supported.

  • Too bad it can not be used as a control surface or an I/O for a DAW, (I was kind of expecting to see it when I saw this video). Adding a fire wire or USB conection to a computer would be a great addition and improve the versatility. Also having that many inputs to an interface for a DAW would be very useful. Recording a whole miced drum kit and still have enough mic inputs for the rest of the band would be killer. Maybe talk to cakewalk and form a hardware surface like protools has.

  • @puop yeah. nobody would buy a bigass unit like this though and just use it for a daw. pro tools has midi boards specifically for their software

  • Say COUNCIL once more god damn time please!

  • @TWANSONFOH

HA HA HA..."I double dare you, MF!"

  • Very nice, but it was mentioned that this was behringer's entry into the digital console market. I think he forgot about the DDX1632.

  • @nmckin3289 Actually, you're right. I did! :O

  • pretty cool now what does it sound like?

    also... dude... it's NOT a "counsol" it's a console!

  • ils ont pompé le design de la iLive allen&heath, c'est la même a plat....amon avis sa sonne pas pareil.

  • Amazing !

  • Reminds me of the controls you'd find on the bring of the old USS Enterprise. hehehe!

  • @MustacheVerra It boldy goes where no console has gone before!

  • @behringer Hahaha! Good one Ryan. ;-)

  • They should send one to my college so we can evaluate it in several different uses including live sound, theatre sound, and recording.

  • Awesome.

  • I'm drooling...

  • @rpyne53 actually I think with the expansion cards it will be able to do that theres no reason it wouldn't be able to

  • This is at the top of my most wanted list! It can't come out soon enough!

  • i'll take one, go ahead and send one to me. You have my adress. :)

  • wow...........

  • Omg! Can't wait to have that!

Can you please gift it to me, Please???
