Uh, Sony owned Merv Griffin Enterprises under Columbia Pictures in 1991, the Sony byline appeared in 1992.

Johnny said his name but Charlie didn't. Why was that?

Don't know why exactly, but I guess it was his preference. He even omitted his name from the traditional Mark Goodson signoff on Trivia Trap, simply saying "This is Trivia Trap... a Mark Goodson Television Production". I don't know if he did the same thing when he filled in on Card Sharks and To Tell The Truth.

He did say his name on the last daytime episode of WoF, and started saying it regularly for a while in the later 90's seasons of WoF.

*Okay, I just watched a 1981 Card Sharks closing with Charlie announcing and he did say his name... still don't know about Eubanks CS or TTTT '90-91 though.
