  • Be sure to take the RX with you, tell them when they send you to get it done after getting the job, & you may avoid test alltogether. The ADA is a good starting point. Also the Family Medical Leave Act.

  • You're not worth hiring then. Go collect your disability like you really want to do.

  • @upinflamezzz You obviously don't have a clue about chronic pain. Jackie just has honest concerns about her future job outlook considering her chronic pain, and needing to take pain meds. Jackie obviously wants to work and have a career, or she would not have spent the last four years of her life going to college to better herself and her chances at getting a job. You should really think before you type anything, because it just makes you look stupid.

  • @upinflamezzz Wow, you give piece of shit a whole new meaning and it's worse. Here's hoping that karma gives you chronic pain.

  • @FromBoomTown I've had chronic pain all my life you yum yum. That's why I'm allowed to make a comment like that. However, I've never once called out on my job. The pain sucks. Sometimes my blood pressure is so high my head starts spinning to go along with the pain. Most people at my job think I'm distant, but in reality I'm just dealing with the pain. I was born with a venous disease. Also, I can't even get a full nights rest any longer and refuse to be another oxycontine addict.

  • Honesty is the best policy. When I began opiate pharmacotherapy for chronic pain, I immediately told my employer because they did random drug tests, which I would have failed. They were fine with that, but might have sacked me had I kept it a secret until discovered by screening.

  • I have this very problem!!! I am very reluctant to apply for jobs where I know I'll have to stand or be on my feet a lot. You'll never have to tell your boss about your prescriptions. But if you want to wear a back brace you can lose a job - factory, restaraunt jobs, etc. I could work in a doctor's office, but I never got certified because I couldn't pass the math. Life is horrible right now.

  • you cant get in trouble for drugs prescribed to you
