@arximidisxeno@Carterofmars in capacitors with a higher capacity it will damage the leads a bit. I did it a couple of times with one quite big capacitor, there were holes in the leads after a while. It's also wise to use eye protection, since sparks could fly in all directions.
a long time ago I used charge a 3 or 4uf cap and throw to my work mate asking him to put it away!!!!
