Great song! As far as Catholic vs Protestant, If we recall, the Pharisee's were the religious Jews. They didn't start out that way, but they ended up turning it into rituals, all that stuff. They messed up what was right and just turned it into a show. Confess that Jesus is Lord, he's the only way. You don't have to pray a certain way, don't have to do lent. Just believe in him, read is word daily, and try to Live as Christ did. Check out Matt 6.

Catholics are no different from any other Christians. I am a Catholic myself , and one thing that i dislike the most are the assumptions made about us. Saints are our ROLE MODELS. We ask them to pray for us. If you ever hear us praying sometimes we say a Saints name and always ends with ex: St. Micheal the Archangel pray FOR us. they intercede for us and lift our prayer to God.

This was the theme song for the Kansas TEC (teens encounter christ) 230!!! It was a life changing experience full of tears, laughter, and love. And it added 80 wonderful people to my family who I love with all my heart. I just got back recently and it was only a 3 day long retreat but I miss them all so dearly. :') AGAPE JLUSDI!

This is my favorite love song to God and my Christian, Catholic, and Jewish brothers & sisters. I'm not in any way Catholic or Jewish. I'm totally Christian, but I love them equally. @funkypurplesocks Catholics can be concidered Christians, but they ARE both very different in some areas. I don't know too much about Catholics, but one thing I know about them is that they believe they have to pray to Mary instead of praying directly to Jesus. As a Christian, I believe God has designed prayer to be conversation with Him directly, not through Jesus' mother Mary, who was human just like us and is not perfect like God.
As for Catholicism, I don't know next ot nothing about it.
@thefamousartist7 I am a very devote Catholic and we do NOT believe you have to pray to Mary, worship Mary, or anything like that. That is a common lie spread about Catholics. Jesus is our brother, Mary is Jesus' mother, so then Mary is our mother also. Christians ask people to pray to Jesus for them. As Catholics we believe just because someone is now in Heaven we don't have to stop asking them to pray for us. Who better to ask for prayers than Jesus' mother? Jesus is the center of our faith!

I am a (Protestant) Christian, but I prefer the term "Christ-follower."

It's gonna be alright! ABSOLUTELY love this. Gives me encouragement to go out and help my fellow brothers and sisters. My seven year old son listens to K-LOVE with me in the mornings. He said, "Mom, I know what this song is about! It means we go out and tell others about Jesus and we help the homeless people." So sweet.

This is my favorite love song to God and my Christian, Catholic, and Jewish brothers & sisters. I'm not in any way Catholic or Jewish. I'm totally Christian, but I love them equally. As for the others, I love them as well, but I'm praying that they will see the Light, a.k.a. the REAL Jesus Christ our God who is worthy of all praise, because He came to earth, lived, suffered in death on the cross, rose again in 3 days, and then rose on clouds to heaven. :) <3

@funkypurplesocks Catholics can be concidered Christians, but they ARE both very different in some areas. I don't know too much about Catholics, but one thing I know about them is that they believe they have to pray to Mary instead of praying directly to Jesus. As a Christian, I believe God has designed prayer to be conversation with Him directly, not through Jesus' mother Mary, who was human just like us and is not perfect like God.
As for Catholicism, I don't know next ot nothing about it.

@thefamousartist7 I am a very devote Catholic and we do NOT believe you have to pray to Mary, worship Mary, or anything like that. That is a common lie spread about Catholics. Jesus is our brother, Mary is Jesus' mother, so then Mary is our mother also. Christians ask people to pray to Jesus for them. As Catholics we believe just because someone is now in Heaven we don't have to stop asking them to pray for us. Who better to ask for prayers than Jesus' mother? Jesus is the center of our faith!

Please don't be offended, because I have no intention of such thing, and please go too hard on me since I don't know all that much about Catholics.

@thefamousartist7: You do realize that Matt Maher is a Catholic, right? (well, according to Wikipedia). Be careful, just because someone is Catholic doesn't necessarily mean they aren't Christian. As long as they are relying on Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross for their justification (and not external works or traditions), it doesn't matter what "religion" or "denomination" they call themselves. I am a (Protestant) Christian, but I prefer the term "Christ-follower."

@anovelgirl I wasn't aware that Matt Maher was a Catholic, but I understand completely what you're saying! My mother was a Catholic up to her late teens, and one of my aunts is a nun. I also have a couple of relatives that are Jewish. Believe me, I completely know what you've said to me. :)

And it feels great to love--a heck a lot better than hating, and it IS better to love! When we love God, we love our neighbor! Hate tears us apart, but love holds us together! <3 :D

@doorshappen Not ALL Catholics are Christians. Many of them are. One of my aunts is a nun, and she's Christian. If you look at my previous comments with other Youtubers, you'll see I don't know everything about all Catholics. As far as I believe, some Catholics really are Christians. It depends on what's really in their hearts and what they really believe in, because you can be a type of Catholic and still not be saved. One of my good friends is a Roman Catholic, and he's not saved... :'(

You can SAY that you believe the Son of God, a.k.a. Jesus Christ bled & died on the cross for your sins, then rose from the dead 3 days later and rose up into heaven on the clouds, but you have to actually BELIEVE it, too. God said so himself that whoever BELIEVES in Him will not die, but have eternal life. Talk the talk & walk the walk.

@dayv18 While other "Christians" separated and started going away from what Jesus originally taught and making it their own and twisting it up six ways to Sunday to fit how they wanted to worship Jesus (which, everyone is on their own journey to God so I suppose that isn't entirely a negative thing), we "Catholics" stayed true to the original faith all this time. So... yeah actually we're the ORIGINAL Christians. :P DOING IT BY THE BOOK. B-|

@EvvydaDuckie Technically speaking...false. Original Christians had nothing to do with large buildings, which Catholics are notorious for. Not saying that the cathedrals are horrible things, but early Christians met in homes because it was too dangerous to meet elsewhere. Also, regarding doing it by the book, nowhere in the Bible does it mention indulgences, the horrible practice of offering "forgiveness of sins" for money, which the protestant reformer Martin Luther thankfully got rid of.

@cabooseJT There was corruption of the Church in the Middle Ages, not any more. Also, seeing as Christians are no longer persecuted in the way they were back then, we can now build great cathedrals to praise God. The evangelical churches I've seen don't even look like churches; they look like rooms with a pulpit up front. Have you ever been in a Catholic Cathedral and attended Mass in one? Until you have, I must say you have never fully experienced the majesty of Christian worship

@douglasdolly sometimes I wear cross to show others that I am Christian and proud to be! I also have them in my house and car for protection and to remind me that Jesus is always with me. I think it's okay to to that.
