Stefan needs to realize that he still loves her. His love for Elena stemmed completely from her. I mean she left him in 1864 COMPLETELY in love, and when he saw Elena, he came back to fall in love all over again. But Elena is not Katherine, she's Elena. And when he realized that, here's Katherine, with the face he already loves, minus the bad parts. He loves Elena because she's Katherine, but she isn't if that makes sense. Just a thought.
