This is great I've been looking for a cover of this but everyone was all so soft and kinda shallow. Not very satisfying. But you have that soul that just kinda wakes someone up in the morning you know. Thank you.

you gotta give props to whose soul and lyrics are in that song. cupid is by sam cooke.
im sure you know this. iunno it just rubs me the wrong way. cuz all the shit that they went through, and the pain thats in those songs. and people miscredit it. if you like that style of music check out both of their work. chain gang especially. (sam cooke.) good job tho. nice voice.

I'm sure you have already, but please check out Smokey Robinson's original (he also wrote this masterful song). The original chord progressions are even nicer than Gavin's, imo. and it's always nice to know the original spirit of the song you're covering, yes?
