This is not the "Instrumental version" [wich is the name of the original instrumental], this is the the "Instrumental Disco Version", which came from the remix vinyl. If you want listen to the original vocal and original instrumental, i've uploaded them both.

i can´t stop listen to this song since 2 years... with "blue monday" one of my all time classics...
an sinstumental-version also have background-vocals. nowadays pop-tunes has it too ;)

This ISN'T instrumental!! I hear some guys singing chorus, and a vocoder (which has someone speaking or singing into it).

As a matter of fact alot of the Italian 80's records B-side reads Instrumental when it, as you say, actually isn't and should read remix/re-edit etc.
Why, who knows?
Even so, fact remains that this for sure is a Timeless Top Tune that very few or none of today's music producer/groups can match! :)

@VoiceEncoder The "instrumental" versions include the auxiliar voices, chorus, vocoders, sometime added fragments the main singer voice.
