  • I know a guy who shot the floor during the 9mm. 3 times

  • i love great lakes

  • I shot expert my first try on live fire. Only person in my division to do it too.

  • @FilmMaster1001 this is an honest question and I was wondering, when using live fire, is the experience different from FPS games?

  • @CAiCoN0WisdoM Very

  • @FilmMaster1001 Yeah, my cousin shot expert for his right and left hand... he was deployed shortly after...

  • @XxRushx Thats bullshit they dont let recruits shoot with both hands in boot camp and they only get to shoot multiple times if the fail the initial course of fire.

  • Man ,all we did was classroom instruction ,out to the indoor range to shoot converted .45's to shoot .22lr . Didn't care if we even hit the target .they expected you to get more training when you went out to the fleet . This was back in 88' when they had a navy bootcamp in San Diego .

  • @leslyclaypoolio we are trained to use all of those too in the fleet, do a little more reseach guy

  • @ARMA365 Someone has anger issues.....

  • One person Fail to past the S.A.M.T test.

  • @NavyBoyLT When I was at "Great Mistakes" I believe we only fired rifles. Anyway I really sucked. At the indoor shooting range I shot a hole clip never once hitting the target. LOL. The Company CPO, gave me a little shit over the matter, then gave another fellow a second crack at my target. The CPO responded , you don't need to know how to shoot as your going to be a Corpsman anyway. Never had to retake the shooting test. And yes I became a Hospital Corpsman.

  • @20031200 don't corpsmans go with marines into combat? so you would need to know how to shoot ..

  • @terryispro isn't it corpsmen?

  • @EricRmd Perhaps they've changed the spelling since I was in LOL It was quite awhile ago.

  • @terryispro That's what Marines are for to protect you ass. LOL. Anyway I went to be stationed for my 1st and only active duty station at the then Naval Academy Hospital in Annapolis.

  • @20031200 i know a guy who's a corpsman and he told me that he learned how to shoot with marines but yeah of course they want to protect you cause your the medic lol.

  • @terryispro It's fortunate for me that I wasn't into guns and shooting as I likely wouldn't be writing this now. Likely an Ex wife would have taken me out.

  • @20031200 oh. see im really into guns so i kinda wanna do that.

  • @terryispro It's funny in a way I spent 20 yrs. in the service. 2 active as a HM in the Navy Reserve and 18 active as a SK in the Coast Guard and never once did I have to use a gun in performance of my duties. I suppose one could classify a "Bed Pan" as a weapon. LOL

  • @20031200 lol

  • @20031200 Just a question, I'm trying to decide between joining either the Navy or the Coast Guard and I'm doing lots of research, seems interesting that you have been in both, why didn't you stay in the Navy and moved to Coast Guard? Was there something you didn't like about the Navy? Please give me your input on that and what is the best service in your opinion. Thanks!

  • @TheCamerafreek Both Services are great in their own ways. I did want to return to active duty as a HM after doing 1 yr. reserve time. Viet Nam had ended and the Navy Recruiter said since I hadn't any sea duty I would have to go to a ship. I was ok with the ship idea, but not the ship he had in mind (USS Ranger), Had I gone Active duty Navy I would have lost my HM rating the recruiter said. Reason the need for them was very low. Going to a carrier as a Non-rate to me sucked.

  • @20031200 Cont'd. The CG Recruiter said since I didn't have any Navy Sea duty, I would have to go to some sort of ship. Here's the difference I could select any ship that was avaliable at the time. I would have to go as a No-rate, but still could choose where I wanted to be stationed. Also didn't have to attend Boot camp again. My 1st duty station in the CG was aboard the USCGC Gasconade (WLR75401), Home ported in Omaha, Nebraska on the Missouri River. The whole crew consisted of 21 guys.

  • Seriously, military fighting with each other over self pride....wow guys

  • @xxAJaegerxx relax its like sport teams, you have mostly driven, cocky, competitive people who, especially on a navy ship, are bored, so they brag, they boast, and army and marines brag and boast, because they compete with each other all the time, from shooting skills, to who can eat the crackers the fastest, really it keeps them training and sane

  • @leslyclaypoolio Cool story 11Bro. This is just boot camp, it isn't like combined BCT and AIT. Sailors that need to learn how to use all that extra shit do that in their A-school, everyone else just learns what is necessary to act as an armed sentry if necessary.

  • We are on the same team you jackass @ARMA365 and its guess* if you are in the army obviously its for your lack of smarts....

  • @Maxlaxflow1 He's just a fs he don't know what he's talkin about

  • @leslyclaypoolio haha thats great but guees what if the army and navy fought who do you think would win.....

  • damn, wish the AF bootcamp had trained us on shotguns and 9mm. also, i think i could have been a little more proud of calling myself a recruit over a trainee.

  • @ARMA365 In the 21th Century an enemy will never get close enough to even put his hands on our ships, the closest Navy to ours is China and there's is aweful. We are Second to none, no one can hang with us. There really is no point to have weapons on a ship unless we were to go ashore for some reason. And I don't count Spec Ops were different, I would know I am part of the Search and Rescue division.

  • @arthurdperez So true.. I actually just took my ASVAB and I'm looking to do SAR. What kind of score did you need for that?

  • @rockettransam911 Actually its not so much your ASVAP,you need to pass whats called a PST its a physical stamina test. The test consists of a 500 yard swim that you need to finish in under 10 minutes, more then 70 push ups in 2 minutes more then 60 something sit ups and more then 12 pull ups and also finish a 1.5 mile run in under 10 minutes. Then if you pass all that then they send your numbers off in a draft and if there good you will get picked up for that new contract.

  • @arthurdperez wow, well thanks! I'm sure after basic that will all be much easier.. well than it is now anyway lol

  • @rockettransam911 Well don't forget you need to get the SAR contract before you leave for basic, if you want i can email a special workout routine that can really help get you ready for the test.

  • @arthurdperez ok! I will. Umm I'd rather not post it here on youtube loll

  • @arthurdperez wtver...im a future sailor actully :3

  • @ARMA365 Yah so no disrespect but iv'e been there done that, I know what i'm talking about.

  • The Navy doesn't need all your m16's and rifles, we have Destroyers and Nuclear subs...

  • @arthurdperez special warefare operaters use em and what hapends if an enemy boards ourship huh??...we have asault rifles on our ship

  • I put my first mag all in the chest.........

When i switched hands I was lucky to hit the target:-(

  • Cease fire cease fire take your finger off the trigger, wepon on safe!

  • I hit the deck...needless to say...I didn't earn a ribbon. Lol.

  • My favorite part of RTC.....especially the shotgun during live fire..........BANG

  • Im 30 and i just enlisted cant wait

  • @CynicallyObnoxious Congrats! I'm 19 and i leave for boot camp in 7 days :) im supper excited... but kinda nervous too

  • @Buick70GSX Ill be the old man in the barracks boy cant wait for those jokes im nervous to an extent but your there for a reason and everything they do is too prepare you and transition you from civilian life I scored high enough for military police so ill have all the time in the world on ranges cant wait

  • @CynicallyObnoxious I know its just like those pregame butterflies. That's really cool, I made it to being an Operation specialist.

  • @Buick70GSX oh damn lol thats cool i cant wait to get into military code and laws bi laws etc. throw drunk idiots in the brig good times

  • @Buick70GSX Me to I signed in as an OS aswell. I leave for boot camp july 18th when do you leave?

  • @Buick70GSX congrats and good luck.

  • depends on your rate how often you'll get to shoot but regardless of rate you'll get a chance to qualify yearly for both rifle and pistol usually toward the end of the fiscal year when they push out all of last years ammo to meet budget requirements (ie "If we waste all our ammo then we'll get a bigger check for ammo in the next fiscal year"

  • @snakeshit077 im american.... and i wish i could say you were wrong....i really wish i could

  • @imrobert101 PENIS???

  • at :40 that girl definitely had corn rows. That's coo these days? or only for women?

  • NOT the best trainer in the world. FATS is a much better trainer than SAMT. The Navy does have FATS but not at boot camp, unless they changed it since I've been there.

  • Bad news, they're getting rid of live fire in RTC soon to cut spending, so you'll only be able to get qualified when you get to the fleet! Hooyah no money!

But don't fret, they rush you too much through this in RTC, in the fleet you'll learn better and qualify as expert not just a marksman Hooyah?

  • @esiosan Do you they just give you the fire training once you get to the fleet or do you have to request it?

  • @1amJ35u5 you don't "request" just ask anyone once you get to your command where to go to get your Expert M9 qualification and your shipmates will point you in the right direction :)

  • looks like fun =D

  • haha iremember this. when i had my shot i had 2 m9s jam on me in a row.. then i got to fire 16 rounds in a row which was pretty awesome

  • Accelerate your life. Chip paint and mop floors. Go navy.

  • Are you putting down the NAVY? you don't just chip paint and mop floors, the cleaning of the ship is important because it not only maintain the ship's structure but it also avoids fires. I for once I am an engineer in the NAVY how would it be to work on a ship which the paint is cracking and the floors are dirty? Need to keep your workplace neat hooyah?

  • @esiosan HOOYAH!

  • man i remember i fell alseep in samt and that same guy chewed my ass and make me mop, sweep, and dust every room in the building....then i fell asleep again lol

  • this was my favorite part of bootcamp. we had fun those two days.

  • The uniforms are cool

  • Navy gets everything the easiest...

  • @cashnougat210

that's the airforce, fool. and navy has the longest deployments just fyi.

  • @directorbeau Actually Army has the longest deployments. Even if we didn't, our deployments still have alot more danger than a Navy deployment. Not saying all Navy guys sit behind us, but I havn't personally fought alongside any. Anyway, Airforce is actually more difficult than the Navy to get into now.

  • @cashnougat210

im in the navy and having a 3-year overseas tour with no time to go home unless you take leave and pay for a plane flight home, i can honestly tell you that you wont see that often with the army or air force.

  • @directorbeau Eh, theres always exceptions. Anyway good luck and get home safe bro.

  • @cashnougat210

yea that's true and thanks bro.

  • @directorbeau bullshit i traveled a lot when i was in the U.S.A.F

  • @megga0

exactly, you traveled alot. I'm stuck on a fucking island for 3 years. cry me a river.

  • @cashnougat210 thats why i had to loose 40 pounds to get in and it took 8 months of pure hard work..really easy that was

  • @ohreally517 Navy training may have been difficult for you as an individual, but that doesn't mean yall don't get it the easiest...cuz yall do.

  • @cashnougat210 ...training isnt shit, my body wouldnt allow me to loose weight fast no matter what i did, so i worked out in hopes i could enlist if i lost enough weight, you have to have no criminal record, perfect eyes, no doctors, no surgery, all that....army will take just about anyone. navy is a good lifestyle, dont be stubborn about this.

  • @cashnougat210 uh boo. get out of here...

  • @mamasgirl597 Its true. Plenty of sailors I've gotten to know completely agree with me.

  • Its funny how at the end the instructor was cleaning up the casings in the Armyyou have to go back a clean up your self such a shame that the navy gets treated like that :/

  • fuck, i learned better marksmanship in hunter's safety when i was 12....

  • @TheGstream001 This is not watered down at all. I work at both buildings and they shoot the entire qualifying course of fire with the M9 pistol. It used to be 5 reload 5 but its not anymore.

  • Well my defense for the navy shooting program is.. when would you shoot someone with a sidearm on a floating city? Other than if you go postal.

  • your an idiot, your program sucks. you shoot one real gun and the rest is fake. once again the navy is processing pussy sailors…..

  • my jrotc summer camp was harder than this

  • so much BS.......Talk about waterd down...Give U the wep and a small brief, then shoot... 8 rds in 20 secs.. yeah... They are trained.......What a joke..

  • @TheGstream001 do you have a problem with the navy?

  • @TheGstream001 u mad?

  • when you leave boot camp do you keep these blue digital uniforms?

  • @docroe528 yes you do, those are the navy working uniforms now.

  • What's Ludacris doing in there?

  • i miss utilities =[

  • @ewwarizzle Why?

  • @Foucause27 hate sweating my ass off in this thing, humidity is not your friend..

  • @Bilsy for all...

  • I LOVE the new uniforms, are they for all enlisted or just for certain jobs?

  • @bilsy28 For all enlisted its the new work uniform.

  • @TweakTheNameless /@jericho927

Awesome, yet another reason to join the navy!

  • @bilsy28 nope, they for EVERYBODY!

  • @bilsy28 everyone.

  • pistols? shotguns? i only got to shoot the m16a2 in air force boot camp.

  • Damn they shoot pistols in Navy bootcamp??? In Marine bootcamp we shot only the M16A2...

  • @KillerXify The navy shoots m16s too. What is your point?

  • My point is that we endured Marine Combat Training, and all the hiking and shooting machine guns and throwing grenades...but they won't even let us shoot the pistol as a basic weapon. You have to have certain rank and job billets for it.

  • @KillerXify Lol

  • all recruits from all branches are trained with the m9 service pistol, the m16 or m4 variant carbine, and whatever 12 gauge shotgun is the preference of that particular camp.

  • do they show you how to shoot the M16 in the navy?

  • @AmericanGMS Yes If it is required that you need to carry the M16 as a sentry you will be trained on the M16... however ....the navy no longer trains on the M16 in bootcamp

  • @AmericanGMS no you shoot the 9mm, 12gauge, and when you go to your ship after bootcamp the gunnersmate will teach you how to fire the 50cal

  • @69warbeast69 if i join the navy i plan to do master at arms arms, they learn most weapons right?

  • @AmericanGMS if you just want to shoot guns the best jobs would be gunnersmate or fire controlman

  • @69warbeast69 no thts not all i want to do, i hope to become a detective after the military if i dont stay in for a career

  • @AmericanGMS ya then ma is best for you

  • love the new uniform I had to wear the utilities, never liked them ever

  • We shot the .45 rebored down to .22. It was silly. This was in the late 80s though. No more prison dungarees? The recruits now get BDUs how cool is that!

  • You actually get to shoot real guns in the navy? Is this the same in bootcamp? Or just air powered?

  • @markb16a The electronic guns are just for training, after you get the basics in you move onto live fire exercises. When I was in bootcamp in '07, we trained in the M9 and 12 gauge shotgun. Afterwards, depending on where you're stationed, you'll be trained in other weapons. I was trained in the m14, which is an awesome rifle IMHO.

  • I went to boot camp in 1984, and we did get to fire small arms. But it wasn't nearly this nice!

  • Hey I didn't get to do this when I went to bootcamp in 99. Not fair.

  • Tucked NWUs?

  • @831Aviator they tuck in thier NWUs to allow the recruits to be addresed by name insted of "HEY RECRUIT".

  • @831Aviator for SAMT, the recruits have to tuck in their NWU's. It's the only time they do that during boot camp.
