Has anybody else heard Reichman's solo piano 78 that has Lover, Come Back To Me on it? I'm just a kid who loves old music like this and can't stop playing that 78.

Vocalist is Paul Small, who made dozens of dance band vocal recordings c. 1925-36.

Was based in Dallas in the 60's and used to hire bands from NTSU. I did a few gigs with him in 68-9...stricty droopy-drawers music. He was minor pain in the ass...probably wierded out having a band full of hippies in tuxes. Last time I saw him at the Hotel Texas in late '69 he'd had somebody write some rock charts. Mel Bay told me he'd worked with him in the 30's. He died in the early 70's I believe.

I have the 1934 sheet music "Dancing With My Shadow" by Harry Woods (American Composer) but the cover also says "England's Sensational Song Hit" From The Musical Comedy Success "Thank You So Much" Maybe your unknown band is an English Orchestra?

Published Joe Morris Music, 1619 Broadway, New York City. The cover is green and pink, and there is a dancing couple in black silouhette.

A new thing for me to hear! a 30's amercan band. First I tought it was a german band because of the Reichman surename. But thit is complete new for me! I am only used to Benny hoodman and Glenn miller and Artie Shaw and many more 40's bands.

Fantastic tune! Reichman, an American pianist, is not a pseudonym. His band operated in the 1930's. He mostly played the 'hotel rooms'. He recorded 80 sides for ARC and Victor between June 1934 and February 1942.
