My Bose 3-2-1 system just died a couple days after the Fukushima power plant disaster (I live in California). It ate a DVD and refused no matter what to give it up and was locked in a mode of reading and nothing else. I had to open the unit up to get to the manual eject (they hide it well). In there I noticed an optical prom added to the DVD unit. Any coincidence that the unit died from minor radiation? Now Bose wants $139 to fix it. Arghhhh Should be a free fix. Bad Bose.

They are okay. I'll stick to the Lifestyle systems though my self. I mean, they are just a few notches better then the Companion 5 speakers, but not by that much.

All newer Sony tv's have the same technology. It's just simulated surround sound with a sub. I have demoed the 321 and I prefer real speakers but that's just me. Besides it is just a dvd player there is no blu-ray and no way to make it blu-ray. And I go to Boston Globe magazine for all of my audio needs. don't you?
