The Libera support system must be great for these kids! I mean to have older kids still in the choir who have experienced the voice change and the step-down from the solo spotlight has got to be a plus.

I was never of their caliber, but I sang as a boy. I was 12 and off at church camp when my voice changed. One day I was singing alto and the next I could not even talk for 5 days. When my voice came back I was a high baritone (second tenor). I also shot up 6" during those 10 days at camp.

Great video, Michael had one of the best sound and a fine pitch when he was young it's a shame his voice changed so early. He is still one of my favorite voices.

Michael is still a member of the choir, however he is 15 or 16 now so he sings a low harmony now. his voice unfortunatly change very early - around 13 or so. such a pity - as Tom Cully is almost 15 and his voice hasnt cahged yet!!

It must be somewhat difficult for a boy like Michael or Ben, who is a soloist and used to being the center of attention, to being relegated to the back of the stage when his voice changes...and to hear "your" song being sung by somebody else!

He is the singer of the Ska-Reggae Band "Jimmy the Squirrel"~The name of the band is really funny...I heard that Chris&Anthony has changed alot too...Recently I saw some of their pictures taken before long,I couldn't recognize these boys at all!They are not the angels I've known for long.:( By the way Ben Crawley and Steven,haha they still looks like before in someway... They sing in an eccentric band named "Fronting Vocals", funny music style~

I'm really going to miss Michael when the time comes that we no longer sees him on LIBERA'S CONCERT. I remember those days when he was just a little kid and sings with libera. It is not just michael that talented, all the others are as well. He just stands out among the group, thats all. Don't forget others also have to be fussly picked to get in. I also find it very ironic that such lovely voice will soon fade away and replaced by the younger ones. If you've been looking through this web i'm sure u'll know Liam O'kane who was the most successful one but now i guess he's gone somewhere we on't know of :(

I too have only recently discovered the music of Libera, though I have listened to many of the songs from the St. Philips Boys Choir days. Michael has been a heart grabber in every video I have seen, especially the Far Away movie. An angelic voice on an angelic face with an angelic smile and personality. Truly he is one of God's angels and I am sure the King smiles on His throne when Michael sings. Thanks for videos, and thank you Michael for sharing your gift with the world.

I know, you wish every year, could be four, when a boy reaches thier peak at being a treble soloist. It's a cruel twist of fate, that just as they singing their best songs, and delivering the goods for all those years learning their trade, their voices break. Such a shame that the song Far Away looks to be Michaels final song as a treble and treble soloist. He has reached that age that treble singers like Michael hate. Whats more the pity is that ive only just discovered Libera and Far Away was the first song i heard by this group of singers. Everytime i hear this song i get very emotional and sentimental. very nice, especially the live version of Far Away at the end. The only thing that was distracting was the URL/credit that kept mysteriously fading in and out. Might be better to have it a little more discreet at the bottom during the entire thing rather than have it appear and disappear. I just find it distracting.
