whats up, with that youtube gay thing? leave youtube as it is, and stop fucking post some old youtube thing on every fucking video.. what are you? dr phil..
Nice try, but The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) is much, much scary than all these movies. The Exorcist can easily replace Carrie. And The Shinning deserves a better place, always; not 4th. Just my opinion, of course. ^_^
@HermonieG1 Well I'll check it out! haha Thank you for the recommendation! And yes I think the real world is much more frightening than a horror film. Rapist will truamatize you for life!
@HermonieG1 Actually No this movies are more of a comedy to me. Yes The Shining was good, but not good enough to make me shit. It takes alot of imagination to get scared and shit my pants. So far no movie has done that to me. I really need a good one that will make me shit, can you recommend me one?
okay seriously, all the movies listed here are all a joke!!! I want something that will keep me up at night cause i want to feel like i'm being watched by something inhuman. I want to be scared to go to the bathroom because if i do i'll get killed the moment i touch the floor! i want something that seems so real, not bullshit 80's movies!!!
i humored you when i saw nightmare on elm street 2nd but no....your an idiot. lol Freddy is the number on scary movie of all time and will never be beaten. Freddy vs Jason was awsome too, but still...
When i look up scariest movie ever made im looking for a movie that wiil make me jump out of my seat. none of those movie made me jump ever. like paranormal activity its not scary at all. so guess the scariest movie ever is [[(insidious)]] because that shit was scary, creepy, and fuking scary!!!
@Huntingsun007 im twelve and i laughed at that movie, it was not scary at all the only 2 parts that made me confused was the old chick and him having sex and a bear giving a dude a blowjob
these are just classics not the scariest, if you do real research you find films that aren't what everyone knows about but there really scary such as japanese horrors they really frighten people, these sort of films are just slashers and are predictable. those that have some thought put into them such as the ring, the exorcist and others that make you really think about what is going on are good horrors because there un-predictable
@cazza841 I have to agree on all except the Shining. The Shining while I think narratively lacking in comparison to the book still maintains what made the book so creepy. It is both a haunted house movie and a slasher with one of the most frighteningly portrayed psychos of all time, merging the two seemlessly. Similar to the Others it is also the kind of movie where the more you think about what's going, the more terriffied you are by the movie. In short, work of brilliance in horror.
prtty good i seen all of them but i say carrie is the scaryest in my opinon and the exorsist should of been there but it wouldent have been #1 porobly like #5 batut other than that i agree
Halloween is the perfect slasher film. Great use of suspense and atmosphere rather than blood and gore. Friday the 13th imitated it and it was more for entertainment purposes. Tom Savini's special fx are great as always. Nightmare on Elm Street has a great concept of a man who kills you in your dreams. It has the best mix of horror, surrealism, and mild comedy.
The concept for Friday the 13th was actually spun out of control by the directors and producers. The original idea was to never have Jason be the antagonist. Friday the 13th was meant to only hold ONE part that was to fool everybody into thinking that Jason was the killer. If you know your cinematics, Jason's mother being the killer was the twist at the end. Friday the 13th isn't good because of Jason. If anything it was ruined by him because it stopped making sense.
i mean friday the 13th,nightmare on elm street,halloween,the txs chainchaw masscre they're faar better and scarier for example the old nightmare on elm stret was a fucking comedy i was lauphing all the time the new is scarier and freeddy looks like a real burn victim. and acting is a lot better.....

The original film was great because it brought a logic sequence of feelings for the viewer without making it too easy. The writing for the original was far better because it wasn't ONLY jump-scares and simply written roles for actors.
halloween is always # 1 on everyones list but it really is the best great list halloween.friday the 13th.carrie and a nightmare on elm st. would also be my top favorites the shining was good too but not one of my favorites but some other great movies on my top 5 list to be a little different are.
@Frysgirl3009 yeah...look I didn't understood your comment...did you said I my comment is good or it's bad...sorry i didn't understood I'm a lil'bit stupid
@residentevilfan131 really, fuck...i really wanted to be scared with that kind of movies, but i cant, i enjoy them, but nothing new since pet cemetary
@penguino004 I'm not scared by the halloween and friday they 13th but i must say halloween created an impact in the horror movie industry. The only downfall of the two are most (not all) of their sequels.

@BobdaLobsta the remake i thought was good, but of course the original was better, but the remake was def one of the better horror remakes, jackie earle haley made an amazing freddy except for the make up.. the dvd for the remake is released october 5th!
no horror movies scare me, its crazy but they dont, someone give me a good scary movie, and nothing like the excorcist or halloween.. i didnt find those scary at all no joke
same here, i don't think that's as rare as you think it is... mind, there's some scenes in the grudge that were actually "scary" rather than just what horrors do usually and make you jump :/
for horrors i like them to be just as disturbing as scary though, good combination imo!
if the movies wasnt scary then remember its hes top five...

@LABROSkris1 I disagree. A Nightmare On Elm Street (the original) was meant to have comedic backing by Freddy because the psychology of the viewer has an extreme range. Where some people will think it was a comedy, it's all in the perspective of the individual. The original film was great because it brought a logic sequence of feelings for the viewer without making it too easy. The writing for the original was far better because it wasn't ONLY jump-scares and simply written roles for actors.

no horror movies scare me, its crazy but they dont, someone give me a good scary movie, and nothing like the excorcist or halloween.. i didnt find those scary at all no joke

@CaNxYuxDaNcE
same here, i don't think that's as rare as you think it is... mind, there's some scenes in the grudge that were actually "scary" rather than just what horrors do usually and make you jump :/
for horrors i like them to be just as disturbing as scary though, good combination imo!
