Actually 100% in Metroid Prime 3 is not that hard since you can get marks on your map that show you where the items are. I think it was somewhere in Elysia. But the 100% ending is not really worth it in my opinion. It was kind of disappointing for a 'secret' ending.

I did 100% on my first run of MP3 without trying, I also finished the fetch quest as I progressed through the game so that I didn't need to backtrack at all when the time came.

@ManjyomeThunder1 I think they did a more of a "wtf" kind of ending because they weren't trying to add on more to Prime's storyline, what with it being the last Prime game.
