The cpu cars just pitted under caution, while you didn't...not a glitch...just weird. You start at the back because you're at the tail end of the lead lap.
@sousisc couple issues with your theory. 1) I was a lap down from going backwards. 2) Yellow Flags were off, so that's a glitch in itself. 3) Cosmetic Damage was on, they shouldn't have pitted. 4) Why would they put the leader at the tail end of the lead lap? I should have only gotten my lap back and been in 43rd still.
@MrAeroHD 1) You're not a lap down until you're passed by the lead car. The lead car did not pass you since the caution came out before it had the chance. 4) Well, no. The caution came out before you were lapped. So then in theory, the entire field could pit and you could become the leader by not pitting.
@CodyKerr56 1) I was halfway through the pack before the caution came out, since it wasn't immediate. 4) Though I wasn't given the option to pit, I don't believe. So I don't understand why everone else would.

@Treetop64 I was testing the damage model by pushing it to it's extremes, not to break the game. :/ And thats my question. if I was a dev looking for bugs that'd be the firs thing I would do.
@PatRyanFTW You would think that would be something they'd test. As a game developer you have to think of your entire demographic. I did this to test damage, which also doesn't work well. This game is riddled with glitches that render it unplayable.
with Yellow Flags OFF, that means I should be able to do whatever I want with no restarts. In past NASCAR titles, I could drive into the field in reverse all I wanted and nothing would happen. In this game, the yellow flag comes out.

@DisturbedHornet Dude do you know how Nascar works? Caution laps count towards the actual laps. So crash on lap 1 - 2 caution laps, then boom. Coming to lap 4. and it STILL doesn't explain how I start the race from the end of the caution in 1st.
@ManuGinobili1977 I'm not trying to be like Black Ops. This game has so many glitches and bugs I can't even count them. Just because it's not CoD doesn't mean I'm not allowed to say something.
@f1racingmad It's pretty realistic. I've been playing with no assists except a bit of ABS (you can adjust how much Traction Control/ABS you want), and it's pretty good! The only thing that's exaggerated is the drafting. You might as well have NOS.
