  • @iamkaven Cool. nice one mate. me and a mates just made a chopper with a pitbike engine. Iv got a vid of it on my main page. Youv probably done it by now or sold the bike but you can make them wiring looms really simple. We have put the engines in a few different things now. if your still havin probs drop us a message I should be able to help you get it sorted fella.

    Cheers

    Tom

  • thats sick man! bout the wireing what you should do is for now forget bout all the unimportant parts like headlight and stuff so u have as little wires to work with then you can see what your doing, if there is no spark then it could be the coil, idk if its called that its the part on the flywheel that produces the electric spark haha

  • @iamkaven....I think you're right about the wiring, I still haven't got it going, the spark plug is new and it was going when it was on the original pit bike. I think I need something that measures electricity, so I can see which ones are key.

  • @wsterfred get a multimeter and check the spark plug holder is putting through a spawk. If not check the wire that goes into that (hold that up to the frame and hit the starter) , check the HT coils have throughput , take the ECU/CDI unit down to a bike dealershi that does repairs and ask for them to test it for you. If all those bits dont give out a spark , check the wires coming from the stator coils in the engine (most likely the only wires coming from it). If theres no cont , get a new one.

  • lovin that silencer XD

  • thanks dude.

  • my recommendation as for your foot pegs is to attach some non-folding pegs. if you have to lay it down (for that bike, you probably will), your legs will be safer, you won't rip your ankle to the bone at 50 mph! As for the rest of your problems, try to find some professionals, the internet is a good place to meet some, try to find some locals though, someone near you.
