Genesis Coupe 3.8 on race track

This car drops the s2000 like it's nothing (hondas sports coupe) aka faster then the turbo si. The only thing honda has that can keep up is the NSX. 3x the price of a Genesis. Hyundai is making a come back from is late start in the car company world. The genesis is taking down super cars on tracks as well as the best drifting cars on the D circuit. You can't argue with the engineering of hyundai's latest creations.

What mods have been done to the car? The 3rd gear (sometimes) downshifting grind and that 5th gear grind kinda suck :-/ time for some upgraded internals? Lol

The poster of this video is not a driver/owner of this car shown in the vid. The driver's is masaki, a professional jap driver who was hired by a Korean racing team to compete in spec-gen coupe races. This is a heavily modified (seem welding done)non-street legal race car. Other cars shown in the video are driven by amateur drivers with much less prep done to the cars. It's a shame that nice race car like this runs on such a crappy suspension done by Korean sus company who don't know shit.

Hey dude...I was a Yota man for YEARS!!! Even had the opportunity to get an Si Civic too...but look at it like this Toyota and Honda haven't been too good to us lately... Hyundai has though for a good little while now. I think it's time that we give them a new respect. It only kills it in turns...lol I love the Genesis. It's my dream car but hell let's keep it real-the Acura NSX is a mid engine rwd car-of course it's not gonna take turns as well as a front engine rwd car. Most of the weight is in the back so it will spin out easily. I'd like to see this car against an AE86 on steroids on this particular track-then the race would be actually be fair. The 3.8 is a start but I'd love to see a turbo with at least 16.75 psi. This car has sooo much potential!!!

It will have more of a 50/50 weight balance than a car with the motor over the front wheels.
