  • Angelina Jolie as Modesty

    Daniel Craig as Willie

  • See, you Hollywood hacks! Just follow this story. It's not that difficult!

  • Modesty Blaise is the most inspiring female female character of all time. The writer peter o'donnell has created a fantastic everlasting star - stories and comic images that I have been entertained by time and time again. She will live forever.

  • @123456788569 Thanks, I feel the same.

  • She is so cool

  • Modesty Blaise er SÅ flot tegnet.....

Jeg er stadig en fan i en alder af 42 !!!

    Hej Bent,,,,,,

  • Modesty Blaise er SÅ flot tegnet.....

Jeg er stadig en fan i en alder af 42 !!!

  • We want Modesty movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i nominate RHONA MITRA to play Modesty... she's british, and is edgy and hardcore.. and DANIEL CRAIG is rugged enough to be Willie...

  • @lynx218

you should be in casting! excellent picks for those two characters.

  • @lynx218 I agree, Rhona Mitra would make a great Modesty but I lean towards Jason Statham for Willie. Sadly (apart from the existing option with Mirrormax) there will be no Modesty Blaise film made.

  • If it remake the film, it should be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, directed by John Woo, and should star Elizabeth Hurley and Jason Stratam. The movie could be edgy and hardcore.

  • Bravo!!! Thank you comicpencil

  • Can anyone tell me exactly what the title of the book is here, and the publisher? I did send comic pencil an e mail but he didn't remember as he doesn't own the book anymore.

  • @denberg2 I think you can find this among the re-releases of the titan books graphic novels. If you're stuck you can try The MB Compendium by Laurie Blackmoore (a close personal friend of O'Donnell and family)

  • Charlize is great but when I see Modesty ,I see Jolie. Her big eyes, lips ,konfidence even her age is more apropriete for role.Maybe it is just me lol.I need to get life lol.For Gavon....I have a same problem. There is no too much guy's guy in Holywood. They are all sooo cute.blah.Maybe some unknown actor from Britain. Some real heterosexual guy lol.

  • zninbgky, did you read the books too? Or just the comics? I read all the books, which gave me sort of impression of Modesty which did not quite harmonize with the comic drawings. I pictured her more girl-like all of the time though at many occasions she appears as grande-dame. But had I seen the comics first, I would also say, that A. Jolie matches better.

It would all depend on how Jolie is able to personify all the many aspects of Modesty's personality.

  • just looked at Charlize once more, you are right, Jolie matches better.

But let's hope there will be Modesty films at all!

    ;-)

  • ...and - additionally - let's hope they don't choose Jolie's husband for Willi Garwin. NEVER!!!!

  • Angelina Jolie would be perfect Modest Blaise

  • I'd prefer Charlize Theron, with black hair of course. Jolie looks fantastic, I agree, was rather a fan of her in the beginning but got tired of her thick lips.

But there might be some other promising young actresses not yet so famous.

I cannot think of a good Garvin. All those young actors look sort of too babyish, and the more manly looking ones are too old.

  • to tonkehar A backstory was told, not peter o´donnells, though it was quite good and close to it´s orgin

  • modest blaise is one of the best comic strip series in the world ever. too bad it stopped.

  • @24aaa Titan books are currently reprinting every strip from 001 onwards in graphic novel form. The introductions up to and including a few flowers for the colonel have been penned by O'Donnell who sadly passed away last year (3rd May 2010)

  • I loved reading the comic strip. Modesty is the best.

  • All of Modesty Blaise back story and history is explained in the movie Quentin Tarantion who presented but did not directed The adventures of Modesty Blaise.

  • But it's a travesty of O'Donnell's original! Worse than the Joseph Losey version, which is at least great fun in its brainless way.

  • Thank You!!!!!!!!
