Molly Hatchet is currently an "authorized tribute band". I'm fairly certain that any Drifters &/or Coasters currently touring probably don't have any original members either. Paul Revere hasn't had any of the classic Raiders in his group for at least 30 years.

It seems you're missing the Point Aidan,,the reason ppl go on abt Wilko and Lee is that 'Dr Feelgood were nvr a 3rd rate pub band like this lot and for them to use the name is quite frankly embarrasing..with respect to Lee's memory the band went downhill after sparko and figure left and this was the best he could pull together..shame on Chris Fenwick..but then I'm sure it pays his bar bill...;o)
I sounds great but.. you know.. despite some people being in the band a lot longer than Wilco was... it's really a tribute band. Can't be many bands playing with NO original members. Lee, we miss you.
On the Pete Gage debate, if I hadn't heard the band with LB I'd say he was a great singer with a lot of stage presence and drive (and he is), but for me Lee was the voice of Dr Feelgood and you just can't replace something like that, its priceless!
Well said 40harb, I had the pleasure of meeting the great Lee Brilleux on a couple of occasions and I'm sure he would have wanted the Band to continue. Personally, I liked Lee's replacement Pete Gage better than Robert Kane but having seen the Band with Robert a few times now I am warming to him. No individual Member is greater than the Band and players come and go but the Spirit of Dr Feelgood will always continue. The best live R and B band ever.
mr thompson this lot were lee's longest sewrving band so if anyone should be dr feelgood it's them noone can replace lee and robert doesn't try to do that he's fantastic in his own right
when they played this song in madrid back in 2006 steve walked down the stage and played the first solo among the crowd. but he walked too far from the stage and his guitar cable wasnt long enough, so he unplugged his guitar!!!

These guys are a good enough pub R&B band but they should not be calling themselves Dr Feelgood. Only Sparko, Figure and Wilko have that right now.
