One awareness, different perspectives. The amount of awareness you "have", is dependent on the ability to stream that energy, or awareness. A bug is aware. Possibly this awareness, streaming into us, is what we perceive as the passing of time. That is why when we get excited time literally slows down for us, more awareness streaming would do that. So the awareness a bug has is the same as the awareness we have, but we each channel that awareness differently... possibly:)

two things I don't really understand about this theory:
1) Even if we are all essentially impersonal consciousness witnessing personal psyche (needless to say I have read some of Tim's books!), how does that make us all one - why not just millions of identical but nonetheless different impersonal consciousnesses
2) If the brain somehow produces consciousness (and no-one can say for certain it does not) then is this idea not really just words?
Did I just create Tim Freke and his entire life and history. Is Tim just a new character in my dream as all of you and myself are. In my present form typing this I do not have the "persona" to spread this idea of mine so I create a more credible persona to advance this perception of our (collective consciousness) existence or awareness of such

I don't agree that most people haven't played w/ these notions or dont regard daily the ambiguity and ambivalence inherent in all their relations with life. They can't articulate it but they see it. And go on living and playing their parts. The ultimate realization at which Freke arrives is "taken for granted" by the everyman, not because he is oblivious, but because he knows too much. We know our words are ostensible yet charged with meaning. We know THIS is it and THIS is everything. Now what?
NDE is Metempsychosis, the seperation of one's Concience from one's body bringing one to Conscious awareness of the self, only guilt stop's you from this experience, plus Morphine based Heroin!

I had a profound NDE OBE Abduction, but I had deep outside awareness in this place of all/no time. I saw future and past events unfold in time-lines. Different dimensions if you will. At the end, I didnt want to come back, but was told (its an instinctive knowing) "You must play the game"! That was profound. That we are here to play this role/game of life
Thats weird..and neat..about the likeness with the dream.. That you think you are the one in the dream, but you are actually the dreamer.. I was thinking the EXACT same thing yesterday.
