  • They put the shorts line in the show

  • susan almost seems afraid of him lol

  • However nice and normal he might be, you'd still shit yourself if you met him.

  • Susan Aston, He gives credit where it's due and I respect that.

  • is he in the mafia

  • in pilot tony wasnt don....

  • @Podrecje Yes but he is acting street boos in the pilot

  • @johnnyboy13131 no he wasnt, junior was, or it wasnt clear who was acting boss

  • @Podrecje it doesnt matter because he wore shorts again on another cook out much later on when he was don

  • @Podrecje Jackie was clearly the boss.

  • @JohnGolbunny no the old man in the can is the boss..

  • @Podrecje What the hell are you talking about? What "old man in the can"? This is the Sopranos, not Dr. Seuss.

  • @JohnGolbunny isnt not called the Sopranos family but Tony was runing Dimeo crime family, and the boss was Ercole DiMeo, a.k.a. "Old Man" and "Eckley", is the founder and the longtime Boss of the DiMeo crime family and he is serving life in prison.

  • @Podrecje at which point Giacomo "Jackie" Aprile became acting boss of the family. Though Jackie already had full control in 1999 (the first season of The Sopranos), at one point he said "I may be acting boss while the old man's a guest of the government" out of deference to DiMeo

  • @Podrecje No. Ercole died in prison and Jackie was the boss.

  • @JohnGolbunny When the death of Giacomo "Jackie" Aprile is reported on television in season one, the newsreporter states that; he was the Acting boss for the 74-year-old Ercoli "Eckley" DiMeo, which then makes him over 80 years old at the end of the series, assuming he is still alive at that point.

how the fuck u know he died in prison?

  • @Podrecje I know him in real life.

  • @JohnGolbunny wowo cool how do you know Mr Gandolfini? i think he will be great in cogan's trade due out in dec

  • @johnnyboy13131 no fucking whey hes a street boss .. he is Capo and if is street boss thats not compered to DON, never

  • @Podrecje Ercoli Dimeo was the first boss of the Dimeo crime family in the show, he goes to jail and jackie aprile is acting boss. Then jackie dies and tony and the rest of the family let tonys uncle Corrado soprano be boss, in reality tony is running the family behind his uncles back, thats why his uncle tries to have him killed in the first season. for the rest of the show tony is street boss while his uncle is on house arrest. After his uncle gets dementia tony is official boss of the family

  • He should have talked a bit about that particular scene.

  • @bugsymafiaangel Reading her interviews, listening to her speak, along with her selection of film roles leads me to believe that she's not only totally uninteresting as an actress, but that she also moonlights as an idiot in her spare time.

  • i wanna work with James! He seems like an interesting guy to work with!

  • lol Julia Roberts being smart.

  • at about 0:38 he was sooo Tony !!!

  • thats funny how they put that line about the shorts in the first episode of season 4.

  • stop figiting james! nah ur the man tony!

  • best actor of all time!!!

  • ye that interviewer is a douche, how plain can you ask questions my god. but now i know that this is the guy that will ferrell impersonated, i liked him waaaay more then this dude

  • @JohnnyLoco23 actually james lipton is hosting a class, the crowd is made up of students. The whole thing lasts over 4 hours and his job is to ask simple questions about acting that can benefit his students. By asking simple questions he gets the guests talking about acting instead of him making speeches. This isn't 60 minutes it's simply part of an acting course at their university.

  • Gandolfini seems like such an honest, genuine guy. I

  • when was this made?

  • a little tony soprano came out @ 5:10

  • That's not true about the british not using "Jim". I know 4 "Jims", one being my Dad!

  • "I find they give me advice"

reminds me of a joke by Dara O Briane where an ex-IRA guy has put on a play, and current IRA members "advise" him to watch it, when he misses the first showing, they come back again and "Persuade" him to go lol

  • the guy calls him jim. wtf!!

  • ofcourse... as jim is the short nickname-version of james!

  • ofcourse... as jim is the short nickname-version of james!

  • Comment removed

  • James - Jimbo - Jim..........never heard of that? we've got that thing here in germany we call "school" where we also get teached culturel stuff from other countries!

  • I live in London. James is a very popular english name. I have had many friends called James, and not once, have they asked me to call them Jim.

  • that's true! it's an american-thing! as the british are more "proud" of the name james (because of the kings) so it's more a traditionel name in Britain than in America! and as the Americans like to have nick-names for everything they do it with james! for example you might remeber the guy from "American Pie"? His parents call him James sometimes... his friends call him Jim!

  • Nice American Pie reference. Yeah I suppose your right, I just find it strange. Sos bout the German comment, i really like Germany. Peace.

  • yeah... mr. gandolfini is more a james than a jim ithink! :)

  • "the don never wear shorts...never never never" rofl.

  • There is so much Tony Soprano in James' personality, that if some of you people don't see it you are BLIND.

  • Of course idiot, cause he plays hiself.

  • "This reminds me of Lewis the whatever's finance minister....THE something"

  • a don never wears shorts

    hehe

  • @FuriousGeorge1985 Tony Soprano isn't a Don at any point...

  • @dsan89dk season 6

  • @FuriousGeorge1985 thats what Carmine Sr. told him in an episode, when he was hosting a barbeque

  • @FuriousGeorge1985 what about Trafficante in the florida weather?

  • You narrowminded SOB

  • .. It was Carmine for sure, I remember

  • James is such a good guy. I notice he has a hard time with eye contact when he does interviews.. anxiety issues?

  • Is that Frank Sobotika from the The Wire at 2.39?

  • it really looks like him...could be

  • definite looks like!

  • defo look like it

  • I cant help but think of Will ferrel as james lipton on snl lol

  • the thing about " a don never wears shorts" was used by one of his capo's in the first episode from season 4.

So that's how they got that line....

    brilliant show

  • actually it wasn't one of his Captains but another boss told him that...still to use it and other things like that was what made the show so great

  • i think it was actually carmine

  • does anyone know the year?

  • Probably sometime in 2006 or before considering the Sopranos went off the air in 2007.

  • thanks a lot

  • we're currently living in the year 2009, according to the masses

  • that's not what i asked

  • well, you're asking a pretty vague question there, ranger

just thought I'd light up your life with some sarcasm

  • what a morons in that audience. laughing at every word. retards

  • well you should watch the interviews with will smith and robin williams...there's a stupid lardy bitch with a really bothering laugh...

  • aaaahahahaha, why the hell does this have a thumbs down?

  • hahahaahahhaha

  • HAHA, i'm going to hell

  • lol

  • ugly mofos you aint lyin

  • lol

  • did dr.melfi wack tony soprano "alotta weird shit happens"?HAHAHAHA

  • james Lipton is a douche bag. I can't believe Gandolfini made it 40 minutes. Best actor in years, worst interview ever

  • I think he's the perfect guy to do the interviews for this show

  • Yeah and Gandolfini was great too! It was great how honest and open he was. To me that makes a great interview, with an actor.

  • He's one of the best actors I've ever seen, and I like that he's very selective with his work

  • He is so different than his character in Sopranos, which makes him a great actor.

  • tanks for da uploads

  • where da Sha of Iran>!>!>!

  • LMFAO!!!

  • thx for the uploads
