Lol, lol. What the other two said on the top of the comments(killifish2000, sangoPwns), I totally agree with them. The era, the religion, the world - in which this story is set, and in which belief is not entirely forgotten - intertwined with economics and survival, makes a good feeling in my stomach, if you know what I mean. Always searching for opportunities, and enjoying the profits, if you do a good harvest: It's simple, and I like it.

because when you go to trade it in, since the falling curency is worth less you'll be able to get more of it. and then the switch comes along all you have to do is trade it in for the new higher quality curency and they reward you coin for coin so you get the same amount of money, you just have a big deference in value. and thiers where the profit is. thats what the anime was about so far.

say america and japan have exactly the same quality of curency. japan is about to change it's curency to 10 times it's curent value. an american sees his opertunity. he flies to japan and transfers his entire savings into japanies yen. (about 10 million dollars we'll say for example). you see the value of the yen cant efect sales prices in it's own country so when the change occures you get awarded coin for coin the money you submited.

so when the currency change comes he will have 10 fold his old value of money. now all he has to do is transfer his money back to american dollars and wala! he has went from 10 million to 100 million dollars by simply paying a visit to japan. of cource subtract the money it'd take to fly to japan and food and a hotel to stay in, cab, and intertainment during the day, but all of that can be aranged. all the american will seriously need is to know how to speak nihongo. that make it clearer for ya?
