Oh, I know. Nancy is great in her own right. At times, she sounds eerily similar to Ann when she sings. She doesn't have the power that Ann has, but she has a pretty singing voice and harmonizes beautifully with Ann.
Few women guitarists look as cool and commanding on stage as Nancy does. She's always had this amazing presence and strikes the perfect balance between being feminine and tough. Plus, her playing has this great, percussive quality to it. What she plays isn't technically that difficult, but her playing is essential to the band's music and makes the songs what they are.
I think this was Heart's best line-up (with the 3 guitarists).
So funny to hear Ann talk about talk about their "natural" look. Backstage right here, is the best I've ever seen them look actually. I <3 the way Ann seems to so often, here and other times, pause and ask, "You know?"
Nancy, anything you do with your guitar makes me go crazy. You sure got guts and are strong! I wondered how you decided to change up your playing, and I'm amazed that you just improv it. This intro always reminds me of "Hijinx." I've listened to this performance so many times!
@Omniculler Very reminiscent of my own behind the scenes efforts,I can relate to Michael as it is crucial stuff.But its all good as the sets were written out I am sure.I take the show prep a little too serious I guess. : )
@lovesheart I don't doubt that they should have listened to Michael; I'm just laughing at his expense for being ignored. I like that they'd rather keep playing around. I mean they were having too much fun to work right then. -_-

These were the girls i emulated as a 12 yr old,singing in my room or for friends.To rock,really rock (even though being a girl) without being a priss-ass.Girls can rock and do rock without having to feel intimidated by men.I have rocked hard and will continue to rock hard til i am ashes........
This was part of a promo video that Epic sent out (also included "Cook With Fire" and "High Time") and I have never gotten tired of watching it. Just way too cool.
@lovesheart "Straight On" is from this same concert as well. Easily the best performance of Heart I have watched...if there was one concert I could attend it would be this one.
@TheWhalerfan I completely agree! This and that "Straight On" are the best I've seen! Probably because this is about when the original line-up peaked. They had some success and were getting used to touring and fame. They at least APPEAR to get along well judging from their energy on stage.
