  • Let's put this way; my wife didn't wear them all week and she was fine. The very 1st time I went in I cut myself on coral and payed for it all week. BTW Tom, if you have a chance to go to the Dollar store, pick up stuff for young Cubans (crayons, toys) soap, toothpaste, they'll really appreciate it.

  • How far out can you go before it gets too deep to walk? Is Santa Lucia a good place for a beginner?

  • @TomWojtk

    Hey Tom,

I noticed that you seem to have pretty good board skills so transitioning to kiteboarding should not be too difficult. I do not know what your kite skills are like but if you can get your hands on a trainer kite, your progression on water will super quick. As far as Santa Lucia goes it is a great place for kiting with fairly consistent winds (ie not too gusty). As far as the water depth is concerned I can't really remember aside from the fact that you need to bring booties.

  • @marcthibodeau Thanks, I can control the kite pretty good and ride both ways. Turning around is a little sketchy and i still can't really go up wind. Im planning to go there in February. As for the booties, whats on the bottom?
