  • Good tutorial. Thanks! Very cool.

  • The voice delay is really annoying. You can just use a simple edit in any video editing program to change that.

  • What I did Is when duplicating the spheres I held shift+d, then hit x to limit it to only the x axis then hit 2 so that it moved it over 2 so they were barely touching. :D I actually figured that out myself only from what I've learned from you :D

  • Side Note for Mac user Shift+D is duplicate and option+d is duplicate link. If you use option+d all the spheres are linked and change to the same color. If you use shift+d you can change each individual sphere color.

  • That's one of google's logos!

  • Um... I'm just wondering... How old R U? Coz I wanna make an animation of a book but I really need 2 study the Blender program. U seem 2 no how it works really well. How long did it take for you to learn wat U no about Blender?

  • im stuck it keeps selecting the plane also ...what am i doing wrong???? im doing it step by step right along with you... i do have blender 2.49 if that makes any difference .. im holding shift and clicking the right mouse button but all that is doing is either selecting all or deselecting all very frustrating !

  • hey super3boy..you have an amazing teaching skill.how old are you buddy? and what's your real name?just curious

  • Thanks for the eighth tutorial. Thank you.

  • you're turning into a mann!! =P

  • your... VOICE CHANGED!!!! in this video.. THATS SO GOLD

  • How do you Duplicate your Object?

  • shift-D

  • woh. those are some smooth balls

  • @polardude1983 Giggle

  • Lol. "Hello Blender friends." xD

I love these tutorials. Very well done and definitely helpful to a beginner like me.

  • am i crazy or has he grown older???

  • What's with the voice changer?

  • When I try to color the spheres, I color all of them in the same time. But I have only one of them selected.. How do I color just one of them?

  • how much is 20bux in pounds because im english -)

  • It's about 12.50

  • 20 bucks* and yeah 20 dollars is around 12 or 13 pounds

  • press tab

  • No, those yellow lines indicate Edit Mode. Just hit Tab (While the mesh is selected), and you'll be there too. ;)

  • Why?

  • did i ask you about your life...

  • calm your ass kid im messin with ya

  • and what age are you now 4 and a half

  • How to render this. I have problem rendering

  • press f12 or render>render current frame

  • When i press f12 or render>render current frame one sphere become blackish and very ugly and other one is not clearly visible. plz help me

  • try moveing the lights arround

  • thanks dude thiis solves the problem

  • your welcome

  • try to regulate the normals outside...

  • it could be the light. see where the light is and make sure it is shining on the side of the sphere the camera sees

  • move the light closer to the object

  • i hate all of these shortcuts...

  • same here im not surew either

  • Proud to be a Blender Friend!

  • I have paid more than $20 for tutorials nowhere near this quality. Personally if the audio was a bit better and the flow was the same I'd even pay $50 for a DVD.

  • When I was following this tutorial, somehow super3boy's directions led me to be in Edit Mode when I added the sphere, which is how I got the same problem you had.

Try pressing tab to go back to Object Mode before adding the sphere. Let me know if that helped.

  • bigbrit328 and grijzebaart, if you are using meta shapes, you have to select the rings around the individual objects rather than the objects themselves.

  • your tutorials are prtty good, but i have some trouble with selecter objects and that shift-D, I just wanna copy the sphere but i also copy the plane.

  • HE'S A ROBOT! xD

Just for fun xp. I love your videos, I was completely lost in Blender, and this helped me sooo much!

  • any1 notice he almost made the "Google Updater" icon? The only flaw is the colors switched the blue and yellow. Still the model looks neat, and its one that probably a bunch of peeps do.

  • i'll take a dvd

  • you are amazing!!

  • Hello blender freinds lol

  • I tried leaving a comment, but it never showed up. nice, I like the new ability to move object(s) including the light source on the z,x, and Y axis, by pressing g to grab, and then pressing the z, x, or y button to move on that given axis, thanx, thats what I learned from this tutorial.

  • ahahaha stupids

  • for some reason watever i try the plane moves too i can't do it plzz tell wat am i doin wrong?

  • if u find out plz tell me

  • I think you guys might have the plane and the sphere selected when you press the G key to grab, right click on the sphere to select it then press the G then Z keys

  • thanks helped alot

  • i have some questions about blender i cant find.

how do u make a scene ( like a simple plane for instance with a rock texture) and make it so it is big enough to create a realistic horizon line when u do renders from far away (i mean as in so you don't see the corners or the edges of the plane) i would just make it huge, but then it processes slow. also say if ure working on something and u accidentally press the 'p' button, and it freezes up. and u didnt save. how do you recover it if possible

  • Cool! I love the colors in Blender - thanks for the great tutorials...I am learning sooo much from you - I would be lost otherwise and probably would have stopped using blender all together!

  • thank you! you make great tutorials that help us all very much! you are very talented and helped me alot in blender

  • thanks u helped me and obviously alot of other ppl

  • I love you Super3Boy!

  • Pleeeeeaaaaaasssseeee dont stop the free tutorials in favour of the DVD!

  • I would never do that. The DVD is just an extra.

  • how do i move around the space in 3d?

  • sounds like a silly question but i want to know this too

  • (in reply to turbo6262: how do i move around the space in 3d?)

  • alt+leftclick and drag or click on your scrollwheel and drag (middle button)

  • @super3boy My God man, where is your American spirit?

  • Thanks alot Super3boy

  • I want the dvd's thanks

  • I really appreciate the way each tutorial builds on new things taught in previous sessions. I am starting to feel confident that I will eventually be able to create animated music videos and independent films.

  • dang! adding another light more than doubled render time! uggg! *goes to newegg and ponders 9850 quad cpu*...

anybody know if blender utilizes multithreading? cuz it would be great if it did.

  • It does. The current version even has a button that automatically sets the number of threads.

  • Awesome! Very explanatory tutorials. Thanks!!!

btw what idiot gave everyone a thumbs down?

  • omg!!! u are so cool and talented! :D

im just starting doo ur tutorials are veru very helpful thank uuuu!!

  • Thank you so much, your tutorials are amazing.

  • Try Moving the Blender:Render window around, or click the desktop button in the taskbar then click back to the Blender:render window. It should show.

  • how do i submit my render?

  • Good idea to make you own DVD's. Reasonably priced, thanks. I actually now know know to 'enlarge' objects by a certain amount using 'S' + a number, cool. i didn't know i could hit 'Z' to just move an object along that axis. I also know that i can hit f5 or click the 'shading' icon to access colour of objects. I spent hours playing with blender but i couldn't find it. Thank you for your help, it's helped me a lot. Good work :)

  • my render dosn't load it stayed black for an hour, and i can't close it

  • Try Moving the Blender:Render window around, or click the desktop button in the taskbar then click back to the Blender:render window. It should show.

  • hey i made a pretty cool looking pikachu with your help but the line for his mouth wont show in the render. how do you make it come up or if you cant is there a way to get another mouth?(i used the pathe curve line thing)

  • Super3Boy you rock! Thanks for your excellent tutorials, my university course has chosen Blender as the game engine for us to dev a small game in... and without these tutorials, I would have zero faith that this could be accomplished... So thank you Blender Friend!

  • omg nevermind i totaly just did it

  • how do make more than one light lke that?? you lost me

  • press either control d or shift d, 1 of the two im not sure

  • YEAH!

  • after i render my animation, how do i play it? Then farthermore, how do i import it into windows movie maker?

  • If you don't want to pay for it, then watch it here. $20 is nothing compared to the value of this kid's information. Good luck finding anything cheaper that can even come close to matching the usefulness of his tutorials.

  • hey just wondering is there any way to add like sound effects?

  • Not really. Blender instructional dvds go for about double that price.

  • your are simply the best

since my first contact with the 3d programs I've never understood those 3d tutorials until I watched yours

    you are very talented person

    Just keep up.

I'm looking forward to purchase your DVD

  • id like a dev but would there be a shipping price?

  • Why would their not be? If you order something from amazon, ebay, or anything else online there is a shipping cost attached. Why this be any different? See my point?

  • could you get a blender DVD to the UK?

  • Yes

  • i want a blender dvd!

  • Private Message me for more info

  • good question What is the difrence between subsurf and smooth is smooth just a preset to subsurf and subsurf just a more indepth version of smooth

  • OK never mind I figured it out.

    Great video by the way.

  • Help!! For some reason I can't move individual objects. When I try to move the ball everything including the plane is selected and moves. How do I deselect every thing and only select one object?

  • hey i'd be intrested in a dvd for blender

  • Message me for more info.

  • this is great but you can say press 5 hit s or whatever you like but also I wished you moved your mouse and click select snap grid, example because i dont use much keyboards i need to know where your going with the mouse like doing it manualy please

  • You must clickLMB more than half a second at the large 3D window, (this is as same as hitting the space key). You will be encountered with a new pop-up menu begins with Add. Go down to Transform -> Snap -> Cursor to Grid, (but why you are so insistent for not using Shift-S.)

Another way: you can use the toolbox window at the middle of screen begins with "View, Select". Third one is object or mash regarding your object or edit mode selection. You can also select Snap -> Cursor to Grid there.

  • every timke i add the first sphere the plane and the sphere get joint together

    how do i fix it?

  • yea, i'm having the same problem?

  • i figured it out after youve created the plane click tab so its not in edit mode

  • I am not sure but press " M " key. This will open a small window including 20 small boxes. Chose one of them so that you "Move" this sphere into a New Layer. Pressing 1-to-0 at keyboard (not Numpad )and "Alt" 1-to 0 for layers 11 to 20. You will see same 20 small boxes at object mode. Chose multiple layers by prssing these boxes while holding down the Shift key so that you can see both layers together. So you can work with multiple object at discreate environment.

  • noooo! the default cube was deleted!

    lol, awesome tutorials

  • I think I want to make a companion cube now.

  • The light is not there. How do you get the light? It renders all black because of this.

  • how'd u learn to use blender?

  • when your changing the color you can just click the bar labeled col

  • No. Just message me and we can talk about it.

  • is there a time limit of when i order it and is there shipping and handling fees

  • I might be backed up with order. Yes there is shipping fee because you are in the UK. It should only be a euro or two.

  • im in the U.S. that other guy said that he was in the U.K.

  • super3boy, I think your doing a great job with blender and I would like to Buy a copy of your DVD, get back with me.

  • I will put you on the list on the forum. It would be great if you could private message me about this.

  • uhh a question is for the dvd, is it a total of 2 hours or is each lesson a 2 hour session?

  • Total of 2-3 hours.

  • oh thanks

  • If you are interested in getting it just message me.

  • alright also is there a like a limit on the time to get it? for example "avaliable only to february"

  • Well I have alot to ship out so it might take a while to get it if you wait. I would get on the pre-order list.

  • and the last question is there a shipping and handling fee?

  • you should do darkbasic, its easy and fun

  • C# is more my style.

  • ah I envy you

  • There are tons of programming tutorials on the site for these tutorials. Just go to forum dot nystic dot com.

  • Would u please post how to make a ball or object roll or walk on a platform or terain? I know how to make terain and people but don't know how to put them together. :(

    thanks

  • There's a good tutorial on making gamesi n blender without coding.

Anyways, at the end of yout tuorial, if yhou want the red to also bevisible, delete the default lightin the scanewhich is an omni, then add a lamp>Hemi and just move it above the objects.

  • alright cool :D

  • I suggest that you don't go with things that you can't do. Learn some more advanced topics, pick up a language like C++ and learn OpenGL. Then start slow and build up. Don't think you'll make a Quake killer with one tutorial and a free weekend. Game programming takes a ton of work, thought, and math.

That said, if you know this stuff, by all means go for it!

  • yo next time. can u make a tut about how to make/code games? please. or tell when u will do it?

  • Thats a totally diffrent topic. That will probably be in a dvd.

  • Yo Super. Thank you. I really mean it man. Ur tuts are awsome :] Thx again. and please continue to make em.

  • lol ima make mine softbodies =)

  • good that you showed us how to create a actual picture

  • very good

  • lo never mind

  • well done, that was a good tutorial

  • Nice job! Keep em' coming, and I'll keep on watching! ;D

  • nice

  • cool

  • cool another animation
