andy reids omission really pisses me off. he was brilliant for charlton. soon as he left we fell apart. he's probably an even better player now he's lost wait. not only is he a class player but he is a great communicator on the pitch too. it is criminal to leave him out of the ireland squad.

free kicks against west ham says it all. probably the most improved player in the prem. i rated him when i he had the weight but since he's became leaner he seems meaner. much better player than mcgeady and duff. duff played for nufc which says it all and mcgeady plays in a 2 team league. reid plays in the most competative league in the world an plays very well. trapatoni better get on his hands and knees and beg and apologise for leaving him out.

mcgeady only shines in the spl as it's a shit league. damien duff looked ordinary for newcastle and is better at fulham. not a lot better. andy reid is in the prem, scoring goals, setting them and is apart of a good sunderland team and is just got man of the match against west ham with 10 men, the man is in form. you blatently haven't seen enough of him

back to andy reid. tarapatoni made cracks about his weight and then decided to not look at him further even when he has slimmed down and playing at his best. it's wrong.

after watching andy score two quality goals last night for sunderland albeit in the carling cup, i decided to look at a few videos from a few years back like this one and i came across this comment! your entilted to your opinion and ok he hasn't exactly set the world alight in an Irish shirt but has scored some good and important goals while being one of the only players to regain his credibility after the Staunton era, not a bad accomplishment! great left foot and great passer, get him back!

Without him, Sunderland would be relegated. Little range for midfield and lots of comp on the wing (Duff, Hunt, McGeady, et al), but Ireland need him in there, particularly for set pieces.
