  • senk u very miach :D

  • A genius imitating another genius?...

  • Was he miming the song?

  • @AnglOsAxOn2

I thought he was mining but then his voice sounds like elvis when he is talking.

  • @AnglOsAxOn2 no elvis's version is different very good impersonation.

  • Incredible.

  • brilliant

  • Yeah!

  • Andy Kaufman, a misunderstood genious

  • @667mumble thats just a nice way of saying " a famous crazy person" if someone acted like him today they'd be labeled Schitzophrenic.

  • @FreeTh1nk3r Incorrect ..... Terry Fator won America's Got Talent. What exactly do you mean by "acting like that?"

  • @667mumble More than a comedian, more than an actor, Andy Kaufman was a most brilliant performance artist.

  • @cjrebelofficial Elvis said that if anybody ever "imitated" him, he would like it to be Andy Kaufman because he was sincere and not trying to BE him, he was paying tribute to him, as imitation should be, flattery not impersonating. Great difference between imitation and impersonation. One wants to BE him and the other wants to give himself in admiration of him.

  • @ElvisPresleyLand Well said! My wife became an admirer of Kaufman because she's a huge Elvis fan and knows Elvis appreciated the tribute.

  • Johnny Cash enjoyed the Imitation"

..... and he is member of the MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET

  • Comment removed

  • Exactly sounds like him. I'm a die hard fan of Elvis's and i just can't believe my ears. Closing my eyes and listening is like WOAH.

  • @cjrebelofficial I agree. He was perfect. We lost a great one when we lost Andy! Elvis too!

  • I'll bet you could e fooled out there in the audience!

  • Great job by Andy!

  • He had talent

  • What A Great Job !!

  • Wow he is a really GOOD singer... I'm impressed!

  • I read once that Andy was Elvis's favorite.

  • @ModGirl1967 Yes, I am so moved by this one that I am replying to my own comment. I think Elvis truly appreciated the heart and soul AK put into his performance -- every move, every word, every nuance, was pure Elvis. And he got to pay trib to the King on the Ryman stage. Makes this clip even more incredible. Andy, we will never see the likes of you again. For one brief moment TV was shaken to its formulaic core. You were fearless. You are missed.

  • He has innocent face

  • excellent vocal mimic of presley's voice and cadence. presley, kaufman, carrey, all capricorns. what gives? we're just geniuses, I guess!

  • Stunning. I can understand why he was Elvis Presley's favourite Elvis impersonator.

  • movies you need to see to understand this video hahha

Walk the Line and Man on the moon!

first to understand why Jonny is stoned, and the other to understand Andy K.

  • that is a damn good impression! wow! probably the best ive ever seen! :O

  • its unfair, andy is dead and his cover too.

im sorry andy, wish your with us,

    goofing on elvis.

  • a comment i made awhile ago is that andy did it waay before it was cool, and he did alot of songs nobody does and really well...

  • funny thing: I watched "Man on the moon" two days ago and "Walk the line" yesterday, I had no idea those two had met!

  • He set it up perfectly with those other impersonations. Everyone expected another bad impression and BAM!

  • :51 I thought he was gonna use a low voice.

  • damn!

  • This is what R.E.M sings about in "Man on The Moon" great song! It took me awhile to figure it out.

  • I love that audiences get really quiet and respectful when he turns into Elvis, as if they were watching Elvis for the first time.

  • I always wanted to know; was it Andy that officially started people becoming Elvis impersonators.

  • He was Elvis' Elvis. The King was a fan.

  • He was Elvis' Elvis. The King was a fan.

  • Elvis's favorite imporsonation of himself.

  • I`m not a religious man but i like to think he`s at a place shakin hands with elvis........

(ref. andys hand written letter to elvis) rip

    a german fan

  • he was truly one of a kind salute to Andy Kaufman

  • Great job Andy! There never be another like him.Miss ya and RIP!

  • @ysbaddaden2003, I thought the same thing, ANDY had such a wonderful approach to comedy, and more importantly entertaining. His style was all his own, his Elvis was the greatest!

  • chuffing eck so glad i found this one, super.

  • Whats' most amazing is how he plays the entire song with only the 'C' chord. . )

I realized he was genius comic with the magic cookies on Taxi that transformed him.

  • Incredible. What a loss of true talent and genius (i.e. you never knew where this guy was going to come from next).

  • I wish it could've ended with him thanking the audience in his regular Andy Kaufman "voice."

  • This is genius. Any comedians doing anything like this anymore? Didn't think so. Stuff like this makes me glad I'm old - and was around to enjoy it.

  • At the 3 minute mark, Kauffman literally becomes Elvis. It is eerie and impressive. The transformation is so complete, that the audience can't help but feel that they are watching Elvis. Andy Kauffman was a true master showman.

  • why can't I find this song on i-tunes?

  • andy kaufman is probably one of the best impersonation masters of all time. no one really knew what he's like in real life!

  • not just the voice.. but like the small qualities, like that lip sneer, which is soooo accurate holy crap is this guy talented.. and funny

  • im a big elvis fan...and honestly..he is one of the best vocal impressions of elvis. no joke. wow

  • Shows just how talented Kaufman is/was!! ;)

  • MY MOM WAS THERE! hehe on the balcony :oD

  • here andy is seen playing one of the most versatile chords of all time

  • ONE OF THE GREATS!!

  • Amazing!!

  • When they do the long shots of him it looks just like Elvis. Great job.

  • @dbmrhi What do you mean people will in enjoy it for years to come.

  • @ShaneHomies

it doesnt matter how much time will pass this wil still be funny as hell

  • cash talks like he sings ...

  • Remarkable voice and moves

But I still think he looks like Paul Anka.

  • @ysbaddaden2003 OMG!!!! I CAN SEE THAT!!!

  • Wow he blew me away. Man he was such a gifted person. Ya never knew what you were going to get when he came on stage.

  • for a long time I thought Latka was his real personality when he was on Taxi

  • A lovely imitation from Kaufman.

  • @DopeMcDoperson We all thought his talking part was dead on, voice and all. Plus I don't think it was suppose to be funny. He was doing a impression of Elvis singing. In the later years Elvis always broke into speech and would ham it up for the audience during it. Anyway, Great video!

  • I never knew this guy could sing so good.... first time for everything I guess..... Great Job Andy kaufman..!!!!!!! Where ever you are!

  • Cool send Mike ! I agree wwith you ! 5* E

  • Spectacular "imitation" of Elvis Presley singing "That's When Your Heartaches Begin." Fabulous rendition from heart because Andy Kauffman truly admired Elvis Presley and Elvis was "taken" by his "take" of him.

  • Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

  • @ElvisPresleyLand really...Elvis say this impersonation? I wonder what Elvis thought if guys like Johnny Harra?

  • @anthonysmith73 Elvis, in fact, loved Andy Kaufman's impression. There's no question 'E' would have thought that Johnny Harra was an embarrassing clown...

  • @ElvisPresleyLand I meant saw this impersonation....sorry

  • @ElvisPresleyLand Ummm Elvis was dead in 1979...

  • @elvismjbeatles143 There was a funeral "for" Elvis during 1977. I am unclear about your comment.

  • @ElvisPresleyLand No I knew that but technically speaking when you die in one year your not alive 2 years later.

  • EXTREME flattery, from comedian who actually admired Elvis Presley and who Elvis enjoyed ..... his "impersonation." Wonderful video and treasure for our TIME CAPSULE. Hopefully, somebody has it safe somewhere, as did Sam Phillips of Sun Records with a couple of Million Dollar Quartet jam sessions.
