@SamusvsRizaHawkeye27 As for the Spacey Halo-ish movie, I would go for more of an orchestral/epic vibe like Two Steps from Hell. Check out their song Freedom fighters and you'll see what I mean if you don't already. I don't really see this NIN instrumental fitting with that, because when ever I hear this I immediatly start thinking about shouting "FOR GLORY!!!" or something of that nature and kicking someone into a giant death pit. I saw the trailer and thought this song just made perfect sense.

@SamusvsRizaHawkeye27 I don't get the hype either. I wasn't that big of a fan. Even though it shat on all things history, at least they admit they weren't aiming for that. It was just something we've never really seen before, (kind of) based off a true story. That rarely comes along anymore. Take Avatar for instance; Amazing visually, but I think it was the same story in every tribal or white people are evil movie I've ever seen. Aside from Apocalypto that is. I suggest you check that movie out.

In Alexander's time, they had steam engines, but they were just children's toys. 300 was more of an opera than it was a historical dipiction, for obvious reasons. Spartans were for the most part the biggest dicks in the world at the time. Not very good candidates for protagonists. It fits because the entire soundtrack was electric, and for some reason Snyder made it work. Idk how.
