@Velocity9s - Me, too! I love the Mach 5 horn, and would like to someday try to duplicate it. I think I know a mechanical way to quickly alternate between two horns to achieve the tremolo effect.
The elephants tried to block Speed ... see how they got mad when he simply jumped them ... then he flips them off and smiles as he drives away ... LOL!!
If this one will air on Hero tv in the Philippines. We sure going to watch this after all. And i like the Japan version of that song. Rather then English version cool 70's anime song
Not meant to kill the joke, but if you think it, mafias do use any kind of competition event to gamble, and they often place their bets for the least likely to win, then have to ensure that said player wins, and that means by any means. It's not as farfetched as it seems.
For some freakish reason, I like the English song more... Weird, dubbed anime usually have shit openings. Thank God the English-dubbed Naruto started using the Japanese openings as well, not that it matters to me, since I watch it in Japanese, but still... Except maybe Yu-Gi-Oh!. I like the English-dubbed Yu-Gi-Oh! opening.
esta mejor este opening que es el original que el americano nunca me canso de verlo me encanta ademas por sus elefantes y como el hacen hubieran dejado mejor este que el otro asi si estuviera mas chida al serie
That was so awesome to see the original title sequence that inspired the american version that I grew up with. I really liking the original Japanese opener.
This it turns out is the original cartoon on which "Speed Racer" was created -- mostly by the dude who voiced Speed! Google the 3 words: speed racer wiki ... to learn the cool facts behind it's creation for America/English speaking world.
The original Japanese version had nothing to do with the man who wrote/produced/and voiced speed himself. He had everything to do with the English version however.
Japanese, English or Spanish, Italian (I've seen this in Italy) it's all got that cheesy goodness of 1970s anime. And there was nothing cheesier or better than Speed, Spritle, Trixie, Pops and Chim Chim. Go Speed Racer, go Speed Racer, go Speed Racer go.
@kogababe I like the Japanese one more myself, That elephant jump and the racing goons with machine guns is IMO alot more memorable than that lame 'Go Speed Racer Go!'
Too bad none of their bullets ever hit that brat kid and the chimp who always hid in his car trunk.

A couple of posters mentioned the elephant jump. I still get chills as a 47-year-old man when I hear the sound of those auto jacks!

I bet throughout the series, poor Speed was like "What the crap?" because...he had grown men trying to kill him over auto racing.
Still, that's what made this show great XD

When I think TBC,I feel angry about Korea government.
I'd like to shouting to the world that "TBC is forever".
jeanpierre3930 4 years ago
Mach GoGoGo was broadcasted by TBC(TongYang Broadcast Company)in Korea now not existing
broadcast company due to Korea military government press crackdown november 30,1980.
Eventhough that was Japan's animation, that was
my pleasure when I was a elementary school boy
in 1970s.

Why the hell doesn't the American Speed Racer DVD have the original JP opening as an extra?
Only to maintain the illusion Speed Racer is purely an American creation, probably (but somehow apart from Mach Go Go Go). Thanks for posting this!
