  • hmm looks like a vagina.

  • @sssukaPSN

    hmm, sounds like a virgin

  • scary

  • i need to get me one of those (the telescope)

  • that is so amazing, i swear iv seen some beautiful things in my time but, wow

  • that nebula's got crabs

  • @djscottdog1 That's not funny

  • @GeorgeDaPunk no, i know its not

  • keep zooming!

  • i wish i owned a star hmmmm........ sounds like star slavery :)

  • CRAP IT POPED OUT OF MY SCREEN :O

  • mmm crab

  • in 1000 Years a handy-Camera can do those videos!

  • Crab Nebula

  • @EternalxNightmare47 very good! You looked at the title!

  • Ya it really doesnt. I got to see the famous ring nebula (cant remember which messier object it is) and its just grey

  • You did it with googleerath (topic - sky)

  • muy bello video

  • Neat video!!

I have seen the Crab Nebula years ago in a telescope but it was nothing like this!

  • @nickharvey7,

    .

And they don't use visual range of photography for nebulas. They take pictures applying the three primary colors of light assigned to the composition of the nebula. Red shows emission from singly-ionized sulfur atoms. Green shows emission from hydrogen. Blue shows light emitted by doubly- ionized oxygen atoms. So, if you were to look at the nebula it wouldn't look like the picture shown.

  • Did anyone else notice the eye on the nebula, it looked like a face!

  • Wut???

  • at what moment ?

  • @kurtbuckley

0:36 onwards to the left as we are looking at it

  • A thorn bush from hell!

  • Humility in life is the only gift I can expect when looking into the cosmos. My significance is defined by the value I give to my experiences. My purpose, however, is brought into perspective when I see the effect of my actions. They will die off, and any desire I might have had will ultimately be meaningless. We cannot focus our lives on what cannot be eternal, at least not beyond that of our achievable, self-fulfilling accomplishments and experiences. You're not eternal. Be happy now. You can.

  • @AmericanMonk247 you sound so buddhist

  • ... any reason why this is called the "Crab" Nebula?

  • ..because it was located in the cancer starconstellation. Don´t ask why this is called cancer. In very erarly times in astronomy, describing an naming things where the only options for scientists. And clearly, different objects deserved different names. Some of these given names i can understand. Others not.

  • This is like a long time but I just found out why! cause an astronomer with his huge 36 inch reflector telescope was viewing it and he sketched it! he said it like the form of a crab and thats how it became its name! The name of the founder was Messier though but the person that sketched it was a different person! But messier was the one that found it! Olaus he found other objects while looking for comets.

  • Rap?Ffs

  • I love how insignificant space makes me feel. It grounds you. We are nothing.....a blip in the universe in both size and the time we're here. I love it!

  • so untrue, u, yourself, are a universe.

  • No, I'm a Human Being. Nothing but a walk on part in the history of this single planet, in a vast and constantly growing universe, and TOTALLY insignificant compared to the majesty of ancient space. You have ideas way above your station, that's your problem. Alas, it is also the problem of this race as a whole.

  • how bright u are!! u are a human. With 500 billion cells comprising ur physical make up. 500B independent life forms power u.

To your mitochondria, u are a galaxy. (500 billion cells in the body - to 500 billion stars in a galaxy) To your atoms you are a universe. Its infinity in both directions buddy, larger and smaller. Infinity doesn't extend from your perceivable world into the galactic and beyond. This is also why we have telescopes and microscopes.

Check urself, before u wreck urself.

  • @ORACLE063

So, what is the universe from the atom's perspective?

    Mecca-universe!

  • no we know how far people look....not really far.

  • i am so important compared to the crab nebula! do we really need it? do we?

  • You are about as significant as the noises my bottom makes after a good meal, in comparison to the Crab Nebula!

  • maybe the noises from your ass sound like a saxaphone in the moonlight, in comparison to a 67' chevy w/ candycane wheels.

  • And after that, people think they are important...

    Really nice stuff!

    Peace

  • yes, in 5000 milion years will andromeda eat us up

  • @PumpaBeno

Likely, when the two converge it will merely change the visual perspective of space.

  • @PumpaBeno

...So, in the bigger scheme of things, The Milky Way is just as much of a threat to Andromeda's gravity than it is to The Milky Way's. The chances of danger to stars and planetary systems are probably low. It will just butt-fuck Astrological perception.

  • andromeda is going to eat us up

    believe it

  • too bad crab is in taurus
