@fredwreckless yup always somtimes 2-1 but it all depends most of the time 3-1 makes for really good flow but auto air has auto bourns out now they don't tip dry at all invest in a few colors at a time and see if you like them .

that is my old capital gf 2006, i no longer use it. and to date i have been airbrushing for about 6 years off and on.  hope to make it a perminante income one day... just not with shirts :P

el like i said it's my first airbrush it was only 47$ i thin or 70 or so. I now use an iwata hp-ch highline. with a iwata power jet pro studio compressor

damn i wish i could afford the iwatas. im getting a cheap compressor from the hardware store to replace the compressor i have right now and im getting a Paasche VL

check ebay first there are many silent compressors and deals for a very good price. buying a loud compressor will make you not want to airbrush as much due to always haveing to here the roar of the compressor not to metion it will scare you as you paint when it boots on. just a suggestion to looking into silent before getting a hardware store brand.

i would but i paint with my headphones in anyway so i wouldnt know the difference anyway the compressor i have right now is already loud but it doesnt bother me much

oh...just one more question...i'm thinking of starting using an airbrush as i draw and paint all day and i really love airbrushes BUT ..i'm not that good at free hand... does that make a big difference?

well freehanding doesn't start ina day it takes a long time to get it all down took me nearly 2 years to feel comfortable painting without a mask of any kind but now that i'm without a mask i feel alot better but don't get me wrong i still use them when i can to make nice hard lines or repetitive designs :P airbrushing is limited to the persons artistic abbility and comfortability with his/hers tools :D

thats where your wrong and airbrush painting without a mask is considered freehand google it if you like there are different kinda of freehand out there such as dlineiated freehand or pure freehand to some it's contriversial to others they just understand.

considering the fact you have no videos posted about it I just assume it's lact of knowing in the arts of airbrushing. You may call it what you like but it is what it is no masks all me.

I'm a beginner how do i get better as far as shading and and what not? or does that just come naturally?

well shading and shadowing does come naturally and you have to have an understanding of light and how it can wrap around an object causeing light a dark space, do a bit of color theory brush up and then study a bit of shadows from pictures and the use a light on a object and draw it once you got all that down you will be set with a very good understanding of shading and shadowing.

actually i remember different... i said that true freehand requiers no lines or somthing along those lines and i explained the difference between the two but ither way. :P how do you think that koi got on there? you can see my photo reference in one of the shots i just airbrushed it thats why the tail turned out a bit to big :P I didn't have a pencil drawing. but no hard feelings for the past and sorry i said somthing along those lines i have learned alot in the past few months. my appologies!
