JosibiusZ "mini-movies" is a general term I use because the majority of the movie specials dont run any longer than an hour. In hindsight, Broly's debut special is the only one even close to movie length in comparison to the others

I own a PS2, and I enjoyed Budokai 1 back in the day. However, i'll be honest, the graphics and the gameplay both kinda suck... :(

So I have a dilemma. I want to buy Budokai 3. But, Infinite World IS Budokai 3...only with some changes, mostly for the better, but with a few bad desicions.

So here's my question: Which game should I buy? I sure as hell wont buy BOTH, since they are so simular, but I just can't make up my mind. Input?

@snakeisninja Infinite world. Sure, the story isn't as good, but the customization definitely is. For example, In Budokai 3, you have to waste 5 of Goku's item slots just to equip his transformations. But in Infinite World, you have one item and you level it up to get all transformations.

Wow it amazes me how you american people don't understand the essence of the DBZ games... This Budokai 3 is nothing special. The music SUCK (they really do, the japanese original music are 100 x superior), the american dubbing SUCKS and the combos are very limited compared to Budokai Tenkaichi 3 (which is the best DBZ game of the latest DBZ games, Budokai 3 included).

The best DBZ game are Super Butouden on Sega Saturn and Hyper dimension on SNES, not this garbage.

Well, maybe the maker of this review hasn't played BT 3, or then he reviewed it as a stand-alone game as games should IMO be reviewed, and the commenters just don't generally compare it to BT 3. I agree that the games in the BT series are better, but then again, everyone is free to have their opinions.

How's the single player experience? Is the AI fun to play against?

I'm looking at Tenkaichi 3, and may pick up this budokai 3 at the same time, but I'm not a c competitive gamer, nor do I play fighting games with friends. (Because my friends aren't really into video gaming.) It's just gonna be me and the CPU. :D

The single-player mode is quite fun, very different from the 1p modes in the other Budokai games. The AI provides a solid challenge so you'll no doubt be playing for some time.

Budokai 3 is, unfortunately, unavailable for GC. As I mentioned in the beginning of my review, it was released exclusively for the PS2. I beleive a GC port was planned but never came to be.

Yes, this is two player, and you should be able to find it relatively cheap at your local game shop (ie EBGames, Gamestop, etc). If that fails, theres always Ebay

In my personal opinion, I would skip this one and go strait for Tenkaichi 3. Though Tenkaichi 2 has more story in it then the third installment, the game play in the third game is awesome (from what I've seen, anyway. Haven't gotten it yet).

Both this and Tenkaichi 3 are unbelievably great! I play both almost anytime I get the chance! The only problem for me is that T3 has a horrible 2 player, but it has more characters, transformations, and pre/post-battle talking. I suggest getting this, Infinite World, and Tenkaichi 3 for the best DBZ experience.
