  • can someone please tell me the name of the song?

  • what is this song called?

  • One reason for naming the strings could be this:

When you look your guitar from abowe, you'll see the image of the neck and the order of the strings.

Your frets starts from the left #1 and so forth. When you tilt the guitar, so that you can see the frets, you'll actually notice that tabs looks like the neck of the guitar.. Or something. :D

  • where can i find the full tab of the rhythm he show?

  • Very good lessons..explained really good. Thanks a lot.

  • good

  • What type of genre is the introduction piece of music??? Dying to know. Want songs like that for my ears !!!

  • Jep very good and clear. Started a week ago and I can already play little melodys and stuff. Thanks a lot mate!

  • I'm not a guitarist but my guess of why the TAB is upside down is because the guitarists view is the same as what he sees on paper. In other words our view while watching the video seems upside down but not the view of the guitarists.

  • Hi good job it´s simple bur it´s helps to control our finger. But I always change the 4 of the end with 0-4

  • Hey your awsome and hope you reply cuz i want to ask you how do you edit your videos or just what program you use ?

  • try guitarmanual.typepad.com/blog/ or google guitar manual blog for a beginning guitar ebook

  • Thumbs up from me

  • Your lessons are great and so easy to be understood! =) >> please keep it up and teach us more and more

Thumb up if you guys agree! =]

  • I think it's wonderful that you take your time and efforts to teach those less knowledgeable the guitar. Your accent is an added plus for me as well. Thanks so much. I really appreciate all that you do and look forward to more. :)

  • I think that the 6th string is at the bottom because that is the way it looks to you if you are playing the guitar. Am I right or am I right?

  • I like his teaching style. Really useful video. Thanks for uploading!

  • This guy totally sounds like people from Fable 2.

  • amazing tutorial.. now i can play the tab...//..TQ

  • This is a SCAM...do not buy anything from Vguitars unless you want to be parted from your money without them delivering the "lessons".

  • @ hello2you3 agreed! I like how he teaches.

  • Wicked man got to love this guy

  • congratulations. you can read tab now. as "in your face"

  • Hey, thanks for these videos, i cant thank you enough, when i first bought my strat, i was clueless but this has helped me.

  • @chris8 kinda sounds like worcester

  • He sounds like a brummie to me with an american accent too lol!!!

  • @hoggy522 im from brum and i kinda agree

  • it's actually a lot easier (if you write music) to learn the note names on the fretboard, Love you accent btw, and the string are opposite because when your looking at the strings on a guitar when your holding it, the High e string looks like it should be on top

  • dude-------two and a half years after watching ur vids and im in a band and everything you have a massive role in me plying guitar thanks so much!!!!!!!!!

  • @tburn66

same here dude except my band broke up a week ago but I also found his videos around the middle of summer 08=O

  • yeah he is a good teacher but I have seen way better. The best lessons I got so far were from Jam-O-Rama. net (no spaces) very fluid lessons that made it easy to learn.

  • best teacher on youtube for guitar.

  • @aquafishsoup I agree.

  • Holy crap this is hard i cant even play it slow XD

  • @lovatofan4life dude i got my guitar 3 days ago and i can play it slow at least

  • duz this work on acustic gitar

  • totally, works on any guitar.

i think you are joking maybe, yes ..lol

  • wee wee

  • You talk funny.

  • Out of all the videos for teaching guitar I have gone through, this guy is the best teacher yet. It's rare to find a guy with such seeming patience when teaching guitar. Cheers, mate! (That's how you English say it?)

  • i actually think he's irish, notice how he pronounces his "r's," classic for irish people. but gotta admit, i got a guitar 2 days ago, and he's pretty good! :))

  • in all tab is it upside down like that?

  • read it like you look on the fretboard when playing, so low e string is lowest line on tab

  • no, actually your fretboard is upside down :p Guitars usually have the lowest string at the top and tablature has the lowest string all the way down on the tabs ;-)

  • man i dont no what to say...i bought the guitar 2 days ago and im learning it...this vids helped me all these days. <3 thx mate great job

  • Dude, thank's a lot for uploading this video. I love Ben Lowrey!!! :D see ya!

  • omg im using a classic guitar to learn. I knew its a failed idea. i cant put my hands around this fat shit.

  • @ImaginativeBrowsing my mum nearly made me buy a classical. i got squier 51 electric lol:P

  • @ImaginativeBrowsing its a acoustic guitar :D i kno wat you mean, i got mysen a electric one hehe

  • @ImaginativeBrowsing hahaha....I made the same mistake!

  • @ImaginativeBrowsing so am i lol it works for me

  • @ImaginativeBrowsing yeah me neither, i started hating my classical guitar

  • Senpai Ben Lowrey! can't wait for your emails so i watched your lessons here youtube^^,

  • thank you, now its easier for me to read the tabs. i just needed a plain and simple explanation on how to do it :)

  • I think the tab system is just supposed to represent how the guitar looks to the player. ie, when we look down at the fretboard when playing, the 6th string is the lowest and the 1st is the highest. It's actually a lot player to sight read with this system, cos u put ur finger exactly where it says on the tab.

  • I think whoever designed the tab system was trying to make it easier for someone to know that the 6th string was the LOW E and the 1st string was the HIGH E.

  • Thanks this is really helpful to my goals! I was looking for someone who could teach me tab, and i cant wait until I master it. Thanks!

  • that was was so helpful!!! thanx a lot!!

  • this is great

  • buby jajaja

  • do u know which song is this riff taken from? nice video btw, helpfull for beginners

  • does someone have the complete tab for that riff

  • Hey thanks mohawk guy, I mean this with the upmost respect, thank you.

  • It sounds british or something, i like it :) It sounds cool

  • He´s canadian. A compromise of amreican and british accent I guess.

  • Bristol

  • Sounds like ice cream man

  • Oh my god..... what accent is this?

  • South West-- Bristol

  • i think the 6th string is at the bottom cuz when you hold a guitar, and you look down, the 6th string is at the bottom, and the first string is at the top. maybe that is why it is backwards looking for beginners.

  • that song is caled octave

  • Kudos to you..whatta guy.. very helpful set of videos ya made... Great job!

  • dude- I could marry you. Why do most people make it sound SO complicated to do something SO easy, and yet the second YOU explain it I got it immediately? THANK YOU.

  • Now that's just showing off... lol

    thanks for the videos

    I'm learning a lot

  • Amazing lessons.I never could read the tab I always thought it was too hard for me but thanks to you I finally understood :)

  • Finally! ive been dieing to learn this riff!

  • very helpful

  • Thanks! :D

  • Awesome lesson, clear and concise. I'm starting to get the hang of it, I'm currently working on moving it down a string after playing it through a couple of times, so sort of continue the riff.

The riff is catchy and very easy to remember and thus easy to tell where and how you've gone wrong, it's excellent.

    Thankee.

  • Hey guys, I wrote down the complete Tab in elteleco,com,es/Extras,php

Click on Guitar Boogie for Beginners.

    Enjoy!

  • Man,you rock!thanks for the lesson!

  • that is an awesome exercise.. my hands are so petite :( but i'm working on it

  • Lol, it's sorta like a violin, but the orchestra instruments only have 4 strings

  • In regular sheet music, tone increases going up the staff, That's probably why the lowest string sits on the bottom of the TAB

  • your lessons are cool!

  • i plan to get a guitar soon, and these lessons are going to help me out loads i hope.

  • been seraching ard for good guiding vidz. this series is totally easy to follow! thanks so much!!

  • man this guy is so chill its really cool. cuz i suck so badly and this is at a nice level :)

  • Terminal u r damn Right!!!!

I mean just look at him !!! he is just

so straight forward n practical kind of a man!!

and he talks so gently and sweetly!!

    thsnks man! god bless u!!

  • ok wait wait id like to say ive been playing my guitar without any knowlege looking for lessons on youtube etc for about a month and got no where this mohawk guy comes out of no where and all a sudden im learning shit left and right....everyone else who teaches how tos................go home

  • Again, another great lesson!

  • To help you visualize the TAB layout in relation to your guitar - hold your guitar as if you were playing it... and then lay it on your lap... now it LOOKS the same as the tab. That's the only thing I think he could have explained better in this lesson.

  • is he using an amp?

  • Is it normal for me to suck this bad right now? XD But anyway, I have an electric guitar (unfortunately it's old and in really bad shape) and is it normall for the 6th and 5th strings to make a boing sound when it's not hooked up to the amp?

  • well at the beginning i had totally no talent for guitar but now im getting better and better. I to have a very old guitar, but some people at a music shop have repaired it and polished it up, about the boing sound i dont know.

  • thanks man this helps does anyone know any good tab websites?

  • No, it shouldn't.

  • great lesson

  • very good teacher, is helping me a lot!

  • yes!!! Finally videos that are actually for beginners

Thx so much, these videos are helping alot

  • The name of this song is Guitar Boogie and as far as i know, it's originally sung by Tommy Emmanuel. Just make sure to look for an older version, because the new one is way too overcrowded with notes. Sometimes less really is more, i guess

  • good. man. keep it!

  • i suppose if you want to write music you could always flip the tab layout for yourself. there are no laws governing music :P

  • guud!!

  • whats the name of the song he plays

    who is it by

  • swingin strings

  • Rock around the clock

  • what is the naqme of the song he plays?
